I live in Poland and it's quite ok. Why do people assume Poland is a awful shithole like some sub saharan murderpit?

kek. nobody actually thinks that. poland is still a shithole tho. there's so much wrong with the country, starting with "radio maria"
yes that radio is shit but only super old crazies listen to it, that dosn't constitute considering poopland a shithole
Because they compared Poland with developed countries
correction: political shithole. great history and culture. too bad that "old crazies" run the damn place.
Poland is a developed country according to some big american company which tells everyone around who's developed and who's not, it was in all the news some time ago
poland looks post-apocalyptic outside city centres
Well I'll give you that one because I agree, politics wise this place is a fucking dump and at least 30% people should get a voucher for a free lobotomy
There are places like that, true but I traveled a lot and I saw those kind of places for example in France or USA as well. Also, I don't give a fuck about defending the south polen but this country changes really fast and 5 years from the moment that photo was taken till now could make a HUGE difference.
Heh I found him
Waldo is in the middle left of the image, right beneath the Google street view text field, winking at me
pooland lol
litwa pls, don't be mean
>Czestochowa
>Bytom
>Będzin
>Zabrze
Never ever visit those "cities".
Well Zabrze has a great medical clinic so there's that.
Because it was a shithole in the past
I remember when I was little, i was travelling with my father by car through poland, and we saw wagons pulled by horses on the street
Because people who do this are either sissy westerners who haven't been not only to Eastern Europe but basically to anywhere outside of the capital of their country, or people who are just bantering/feeling thirsty for (you)s
Poland is great but their language is the shittiest piece of shit ever
Get rid of those ass nasal vowels you morons
so does every post-communistic country countryside and in the cities Poland is definitely above east-european average
I can understand that, those kind of memories when you see something first time do bite in hard and stay.
Hmm google maps "traveling" does seem like a thing on Jow Forums.
I ate some hella good potato pancakes at some diner in Poland, 10/10, would go back just for that
Also your maccas are much cheaper
Really
Well it's peculiar but ours as in made by us for us and here for a long time.
I lived in Kielce. That's why. Fuck me what a terrible place
I always buy ceppelinai when I drive throu Kaunas there's a good place at the city end on the right side on the first floor of some 80ties building.
who tf even is marcedonia
>Hmm google maps "traveling" does seem like a thing on Jow Forums.
Well, honestly, it's really not that bad idea at its core, but the thing is that the people who post screens of streetviews mostly don't know shit about the place they're looking at
Well that had to be traumatic, no blame there I guess.
Everything I need to know about Poland I learned on google street view
The motherland of the greatest people who have ever lived on Earth, now bow to your Macedonian masters
Based
I do travel quite a lot and I always check google maps before traveling and plan a bit ahead to know where can I eat, drink, party, visit etc. And from my experience it's always sooo different.
How's Poland a "dump" when they actively refuse to accept muh refugees and don't cave in to Germany's pressure?
At least they're not sabotaging themselves.
There are places like this in Paris too.
It's more of a problem with the church influence on politics and by the church I don't mean the religion, the religion is ok. By church I mean the administration that runs the religion and is a utter fucking disgrace, corrupt, full of alcoholics that just want money.
>Bydlo neighborhood in fuckin Łódź
>Still cleaner than most city streets in UK
Łódź is slowly getting out of its hellpit doe
>Polish man
Me on the bottom left
There's also his rival, Lithuanian man
no there isnt a single one stupid retard
google 'rumeni'
and it's beautiful
Not even a single one near de gaulle airport? Come on.
the difference is you'd never see a white blonde boi on a street like that in Paris
You trade something for something always. Better church officials who are kind of corrupt but still want to preserve the Polish nation, than a bunch of atheist officials who sell the country down the toilet like the West.
Poland is very unequal, it has real shitholes like but also totally first world places like my hometown:
show me one
post it then. i am curious
I see you got yourselfs a commie 80ties neighbourhood house
It was a few years ago but there's a market o nthe right side of the road when you drive to the airport. Everything around the market was a dump and I was the only white person in the whole market. I had to stop there to buy some water while driving but I was amazed and everyone looks at me as if I was insane.
It's really hard to post places that I only saw irl and not on google maps.
here you have new suburbs:
still first world af
looks ok I guess
all of my town looks first world and better than average in the UK or Belgium
thanks to GSV I learnt we shouldn't have any complexes towards the west, our towns looks as good or even better even though we're so much poorer
when we already have GDP per capita on par with Italy or France, our country will look much much better than anything in the west except for Germany
Hmm I was in Belgium and it can look bad but also can look in such a way only top polish cities can compete. Sure it has awful places and their 2 lane roads with light posts and a awful quality road are funny but their villages are top comfy friend.
Don't judge before you visit, that's what I always say.
average house size is around 250 sqm
I can only laugh at "rich" westerners living in cramped 50 sqm "terraced houses" with 3 other roommates
>Hmm I was in Belgium
So look at Charleroi and you'll kill yourself.
I don't wanna sound like a snob but I value irl experience over google maps. For example south Belgium is super expensive and the north part is overall more "uppity" and chilled not to mention the prices. Same with how places look Bruges is top tier while Brussels can look like middle east.
>For example south Belgium is super expensive
So what? Hong Kong is the most expensive place on Earth but it looks like a third world shithole with 50-floor commieblocks with hanging dirty clothes between them.
>I value irl experience over google maps.
I don't. How many streets can you see irl during a week-long visit? 10? 20? I can see around 50 streets in 2 hours on GSV. I can move between the centre, suburbs, outskirts in a moment to compare all parts of the city. I can check some places two, three or more times to judge them more objectively (when my mood is already different).
>I don't.
You should. Things do look differently, remember the scenery is dynamic not static.I remember preparing before visiting Japan, than I got out at Shibuya station and was like "wtf is this place, this is not how it looked like on google" and than looking for my hotel for 1,5 hour. Things changed there in like 3 years.
Anyway, what you see is pictures, no sound, no smell, no people. You can visit a place that looks shit on the outside but inside is top tier with one of the best food you ate. And belive me in ?Japan or France(for example) a lot of places look awful outside but top tier inside with food and prices that swipe you off your feet. Although Japan is cheaper in the end.
You guys are literally relying on EU cash. It's pretty much impossible to be a strong country without a single strong industry arm.
Sminem's dad?
sminem facial features are common in poland
it's a typical slavo-tatar phenotype
>no sound, no smell, no people.
I don't care about this. I care only about urban planning and architecture.
>one of the best food you ate
I don't give a fuck about food. I'd love Sweden because of their urban planning even if I had to eat surstromming everyday. And in the globalized world it doesn't really matter anymore, since in cities like Stockholm or Amsterdam you have a million of restaurants run by all nationalities from all the world.
And actually I'm not a person who likes sophisticated food.
> It's pretty much impossible to be a strong country without a single strong industry arm.
Tell the Brits about this. Or the Irish. Or Belgians. And it's not about being "strong", just having decent maintenance of your urban space.
But the looks are different as well. I fully disagree with your but that's just my experience I guess. I nthe end what I know is that places look much different than on google maps or photos.
and first of all, I'd rather spend my savings on fixing my house and its surroundings than travelling around the world which is basically throwing money away (and out of the country).
Poland is a very poor country that at the same time is civilized with decent standards of living and infrastructure.
Other countries with so low GDP per capita would be already a crime ridden shitholes.
Especially the nonwhite ones.
Oh boy, now we disagree on another level fren. Traveling is the best thing I could have done i nmy life, it gave me so much experience, got to know so much people, I became a better and more interesting person while having so much fun. I'm ok with driving my 5k euro car and not upgrading it to a 10k euro one if the 5k euro difference will go on another trip to JP or SK.
>political shithole
I'm assuming you think like that because Polish politicians are not currently supporting the population replacement.
But that's only because they can't run the circus right now. When they get richer, soon, it'll change.
Needs some niggers and arabs to enrich it
Poles shouldn't be allowed to travel around the world. Do you think Germans in the 1950s were flying to Japan or Brazil for fun? No, they worked for 15 hours a way to rebuild their country and make it a world superpower. Only their grandchildren can do this since their grandparents built a rich and economically strong country for them.
Poland nowadays is exactly like Germany 60 years ago. If we spend money on useless, ellusive things like travelling, we will never get richer and never build anything.
>Traveling is the best thing I could have done i nmy life
Your personal experiences are completely irrelevant for the country, its well-being and the state of urban planning and local architecture.
I wish Poles had more German or Japanese mentality. I almost never see young Japanese people travelling to Europe, it's in 80% Japanese pensioners, because young people work, work work to make their country better.
>because young people work, work work to make their country better.
This is bullshit. I've talked to fuckloads of Japanese youth, people 25-35, got to know them. The often can't afford traveling. I remember a pub owner I know telling me she sometimes can't afford a shinkansen to the city where her parents live. Sure she dressed good, earned a lot but the expenses killed her budget. When ?I shouved her pictures of my city she was all like "gosh, I love Europe soi much, maybe when I'm older and earn more money I'll go there". In face the Japanese youth spend so much on daily expenses and hobby that they barely have any savings. And that my friend is why it's good to travel, without being to Japan I'd never know it.
im too druk for this, fucking hell my posts are a mess
Poland has nice cities
>Japan
>better
Japan is stagnating since 90's
>Germany
>better
Germany got rich only thanks to US gibs and they are now trying to avoid Japan's fate by importing shitskins and stealing our people too, especially if they are doctors or engineers.
>The often can't afford traveling.
Because they don't work hard enough.
>In face the Japanese youth spend so much on daily expenses and hobby that they barely have any savings.
Maybe some of them do, there are a lot of mentally challenged Japanese people, but most of them work very hard and they make way more money than Poles. Also, their cities are neat and tidy because they care about development and maintenance of their country first.
>And that my friend is why it's good to travel, without being to Japan I'd never know it.
Or more like you met max 10-20 Japanese people out of 125 million, your personal experiences are completely biased and statistically irrelevant, so even my GSV "travels" are more enlightening.
>Japan is stagnating since 90's
"stagnating" as one of the richest countries in the world, their wages don't grow that high, because they're already among the highest in the world
>Germany got rich only thanks to US gibs and they are now trying to avoid Japan's fate by importing shitskins and stealing our people too, especially if they are doctors or engineers.
keep repeating this, maybe it will come true
>Or more like you met max 10-20 Japanese people out of 125 million, your personal experiences are completely biased and statistically irrelevant, so even my GSV "travels" are more enlightening.
Oh man, you're a treasure.
The amerifat meme has a polish counterpart, top kek.
>uh, yeah i've seen a elephant in a movie once so sure as hell I can ride one
>When ?I shouved her pictures of my city she was all like "gosh, I love Europe soi much, maybe when I'm older and earn more money I'll go there".
keep in mind the Japanese are very two-faced and always lie to foreigners or even each other
they are also very very chauvinist and xenphobic and consider everyone inferior, even the chinese and westerners who pretty much civilised japan
her real thoughts were probably: why is this baka gaijin showing me some shithole? japan better in everyway. go home already white pig
I simply don't care about mundane things like food, culture, music, language, behavior etc. For me, firstworldness is all about urban planning, architecture and maintenance. If the country looks good, it is good. If it doesn't look good, no tortilla, kimchi or curry can compensate it. I don't even care about money that much since as I said - Hong Kong, South Korea or Saudi Arabia will always be third world to me just because they look like third world, no matter how much money these people earn - if they don't spend it on maintenance, they have third world mentality.
Of course it's always better to be richer than poorer but only if your country already looks good.
We fucked though and I thought her the art of tipping. On the other hand her pub was one of those place where you need to pay like 1500 JPY as entrance and than order so its kinda like a tip but you pay it upfront, small place, max 10 people one. Also I highly doubt she was two faced, we still talk over Skype.
Damn you're a dumbass that know nothing about economy and history. Typical Jow Forums idiot.
>that know nothing about economy and history.
I know a lot, but I don't understand what does it have to do with my post.
I do know what "first world" originally meant and that it was more about political and military alliances than about economy but the meaning has changed since then and now first world simply means developed and for me the sign of development is urban planning and maintenance, if you think it's food - that's your opinion I simply don't agree with
There's more than one person replying to you fren, I'm the op and it's not my post.
Kielczanin here.
what's your beef with the place?
Poland is a shithole don't come to our country
Haha right guys?
You are decent man, user. Cheers!
Cheers fren.
Because of the massive amount of poles that invade other European countries to scrub toilets. What are they fleeing from?
