Why don't rural Canadians assemble and march in the streets of Toronto and other cities against what is happening? Just curious why the people inside and outside the cities never seem to cross paths. You know one day it might creep into all of Canada if you don't voice your concerns.

How easy is it to get a job on Svalbard?

True. Two of my neighbours are americans who recently moved here. One of them has no accent at all and he has only lived in Norway for 5 years.

He is mid 30's. I guess he must have an ear for language. Then again. most americans i have met here only have a problem with the rolling 'r's. If you master that then every other mistake in the tone or pitch could be mistaken as some sort of blending of norwegian dialect.

A friend of mine grew up in a western norwegian fjord with a dad from Oslo which is two different dialects. He speaks with a wierd pitch at the end of every word. My neighbour sounds more "norwegian" than my friend.

Norwegian and english is very close language wise so i don't think its that hard to learn when you are subjected to it every day.

I also have an American that lives in my neighborhood.

He speaks good Swedish but you can easily tell he has american accent which is okay since it's hard to remove accent.

Foreigners that lives here and either speak the language badly or can't speak the language at all should get out.

I don't know but in all honesty i do not think you would be happy living in Svalbard. Go on youtube and search for some docus about living there. It's not a place for everyone it seems. I know I would not like living there.

You won't be happy living on Svalbard if you don't already have experience living in similar places. The darkness will get to you if the cold or polar bears don't. I'm not shilling for people to fuck off from Norway or anything, the darkness will genuinely take you if you're not properly used to it.
