Where can I talk about Irish politics online? Reddit is useless, as is twitter. Boards and politics.ie seem to be the only options?
Where does the intelligencia hang out on the internet?

éire/pol/.

Why do you need an Nintendo account for that?

If they think you are a contradicting their very narrow definition of Irish nationalist they tend to take offense.

Anseo!

/éire/ of course. We are a congregation of Ireland's top contrarian minds.

Whats wrong with boards and politics.ie? I only stuck my head in the door and had a look, they were alright.

God I wish one of those 99% was me

It's impossible to explain what exactly the problem with boards is without having experienced it yourself. All I'll say is that I hope you enjoy being at the mercy of ban-happy mods.

I can't really picture you playing Mario or Animal Crossing. FE is the only one I still see being discussed after its release too.

Got kfc delivered to the house today. Delicered by some poor looking paki man who cycled it to me, with the big sac on his back, and a dirty jacket.
I dont think I will ever be able to get used to this, and I hope I never do. The world is absurd. It is like everything the 12 year me wanted, and I remain unfulfilled.

>Isn't that place notoriously left wing?
It's probably a bit more mixed than being left wing, the term Shinnerbot came from there anyway. The site's been nuked a lot recently though and barely functions anymore, it could be more left wing now that more right wing people went to politicalirish.
>kfc
>I remain unfulfilled.
You deserved it.

Quite the hypothesis you have there...

>Got kfc delivered to the house today
Why not just go there yourself?

What's the best chicken place?

Hillbillies. No contest.

I don't know, but anywhere but KFC.

Not chicken hut in Limerick anyway. I like being able to say that with immunity online.

I see that reddit is getting redpilled

*snap* yep, this ones going in my flag compilation

It is lauded as a Limerick institution. People go mad for the gravy. But in reality it's just a grimy chicken shop with oily chicken and very starchy peppery gravy. Say thay in Limerick though and someone would box you in the head.

And what of Donkey Fords?

When was this taken?

Yesterday

Chips are a subjective matter, but I am not fond of their chips, again too oily. The battered sausages though are the best I've ever had, especially if they are straight from the fryer.

Ah nice, wasn't aware it was on. Will have to see if they have a replay lm youtube.

How come? Vegans are healthier

There's nothing wrong with eating meat in moderation. Humans are omnivores. And as long as the animals aren't mistreated, there is no moral argument against eating meat either.

For the last time Lux, that business plan is not going to work.

Have you tried it?

Just noticed, all the cartoon women in yere photos don't have any noses. Women in real life have noses. Something sad about that.

Yes. It fell apart during the testing phase of the milking machine.

>Women in real life have noses.
Source?

>There's nothing wrong with eating meat in moderation. Humans are omnivores.
The proportion of plant-based foods consumed to meat consumed needs to increase and the amount of meat consumed in absolute terms needs to decrease. Irish people eat too much meat as it is. It doesn't help that they like unhealthier meats like beef and pork, with their processed forms being commonly consumed too. We should really embrace fish more

>there is no moral argument against eating meat either

The rural pub, bootcut jeans, and crushed dreams.
That's what still song reminds me of.

When asked in America what he thought of Trump he said he doesn't comment on religion, politics or football. Too right.

That's a "right" imposed by the British. Not eating Irish fish is West Brit behaviour. It's item number #487 on the list of West Brit indicators, right between owning a microwave prior to 1995 and being able to receive British TV channels on analog televisions.

>football
What was he referring to here? This is important.

But there's nothing worth talking about besides those 3 topics?

>The rural pub, bootcut jeans
A winning combination. Not so much the crushed dreams though.

What about the weather or gossiping about people you know?

>What about the weather or gossiping about people you know?

Here's the conundrum. Can someone not be a West-brit, while at the same time despising the lowly existence of the urban poor, and feeling above rural Ireland? I want to lead this country, but I want to make sure I'm not just manifesting demomic British spirits within me.

Am I only officially a boomer once I've tasted that Monster drink? Because it looks vile.

We barely have any Irish fish left, it's all taken by the EU trawlers

>Can someone not be a West-brit, while at the same time despising the lowly existence of the urban poor, and feeling above rural Ireland?
Not sure about the first one, but contempt for rural Ireland is one of the most obvious indicators of a West Brit.

Idk but he implied he wouldnt say he supported Liverpool in case a lot of his fans support United or whatever

That's a shame. I love my country.

>despising the lowly existence of the urban poor, and feeling above rural Ireland
>want to lead this country
Evening Leo, how's she cutting?

Attached: 1537496686962.jpg (3330x3607, 4M)

Yet you hate rural Ireland? That doesn't add up.

Attached: 1528405958678.jpg (1000x1157, 1.04M)

I didn't say I hated rural Ireland, I said I feel above it.

Why? I find this to be particularly ironic if you're from Dublin.

I'm from rural Ireland. I guess I feel like people behave irrationally, and have low minded pursuits. Maybe I'm just spiteful because I always felt like an outsider.

>low minded pursuits
Please expand upon, am intrigued.

"Rural Ireland" mostly died in the famine, it had a zombie half-life until the free state. Now it's just posho west brits who own big land. As "Irish" as slumlords and hotel refugee planters.

>Now it's just posho west brits who own big land
t. Knows nothing about rural Ireland.

The vast majority of Irish farmers have small to medium sized farms.

Define small and medium.
Also I said "big land". And even "medium" farmers are not part of the Ireland that the Brits sought to destroy, they are the replacement of it, having successfully been destroyed. And even before then, in Gaelic times the society wasn't so dependent on farming per se but on pastoralism.
So my point is that "rural Ireland" means one of two things: the society that was formed as a result of and existed in opposition to English attempts to destroy us, which is now dead, or the society that exists in the rural parts of the country today, which is not essentially Irish in any meaningful sense, if it isn't outright a negative thing.

Fish tastes terrible, for me at least, in general.

It does, and it's bad for the environment.

Can anyone give me the lore of /éire/? what are the characters/posters, memes, events and running jokes that should be known by everyone?

Shame it's so cheap in our parts, from monetary standpoint it's quite inefficent not to consume it since we have monopoly on vast Okhotsk sea fisheries. I prefer even cheaper
self-grown potato, still.

You asked this before, no? Are you new?

Attached: 1532470034437.png (1238x1638, 965K)

It's amazing how wrong you are

I don't know. Catholicism, watching shit tv, awful local banter, gossipping

>I don't know
Well that isnt a positive sign when entering into a debate.
>Catholicism, watching shit tv, awful local banter, gossipping
Sure, but isn't a lot of that more so to do with age rather than anything else? And what shows do rural people watch that urban people don't?
And who cares if people gossip, fuck them.

Maybe... Can you just answer please?

Depends on the fish to be fair. It's like saying fruit tastes terrible even though they're all different

Politicalirish. Politics.ie is a mess

>Catholicism, watching shit tv, awful local banter, gossipping
None of this is exclusive to rural Ireland, and some of it isn't even that bad. It sounds like you just have a superiority complex.

>a debate
I am meerly describing a feeling. I am not trying to say I am above people in rural Ireland. But you have made me realize I feel the same about most people. Middle class urbanites annoy me just as much. Maybe I am the problem.

Yeah you are probably right.
