im a civil engineer and im getting paid less than half of what people in my parents generation got offered. my professors (who run civil eng related businesses) used to say in class that "they were ashamed of offering such low salaries, but it has to be that way because otherwise they would go out of business" MUH ECONOMY IS BAD but its bad because of THEM. also i had to look HARD for job, while they didnt even have to look for it. people would literally go to them and offer them jobs
