Suck it up and own your work. No one likes a whining intern. You’ll end up left alone to do your ‘work’. Then, they’ll thank you for your hard work. Then fire you and that’s that.
Such is the life of a wagecuck. It gets better, but it never feels great. Read Rich Dad Poor Dad and build up your asset column or you're going to be doing shit you hate for the rest of your working life.
Tell your manage that you're trying to adapt to the commute but the length is really is affecting your morale and ask to be moved back.
If that doesnt work, keep working if you have to or look for a new job if you can.

Clearly you're using this internship as a resume-builder, and it would be a nice little notch on your belt/funny story that you could tell future potential employers that you used to drive 90 minutes one way for your internship. It would reflect positively on you.
If it's longer than a few months, I would try talking to your manager about it before going to HR. Let him know that you took this position, in part, because it was 20 minutes round trip away from your house, and that a 90 minute, one way commute simply isn't feasible for you and that you would like to transfer back to the original location. Maybe he can work something out.

Pro tip OP: it doesn't get any better. A lot of people have commutes way worse than yours and they keep doing them year in and year out. On top of that, since you're an intern you probably want a professional job - which means 1.5hrs (unpaid) overtime each day isn't unexpected at all.
If you can't handle this, you should probably kill yourself now. "Work/life balance" is a myth.
