Binance seems like the type of company that will succeed at all costs and sets the bar for how other exchanges should operate. They will continue to be the best until someone else does it better, it's that simple. "Trustless" is one of the core philosophical tenants of blockchain tech so while I wouldn't want to "trust" any of these exchanges, I also wouldn't write off one of the most professional exchanges.
Personally, I prefer trading on DEXs like Switcheo.

I use Binance and I immediately withdraw after exchanging, but the fact is that Binance is the best exchange in crypto right now. They have overcome issues that would have been the end of other exchanges. They days of major exchanges exit scamming and Mt.Goxxing are over.

When they went down due to database meltdown, they fixed the situation and nobody lost anything. When the VIA phishing scam went down, they gave everybody their funds back, and they didn't have to do that. They have good customer service by crypto standards from what I've heard, though I've never had to use it. They're the biggest exchange with lots of volume. You can use it with out KYC unless you're looking to move large amounts of money. They've never done me wrong, so I've got no reason to go anywhere else.

Compared to other exchanges (HitBTC, Etherdelta etc.) they are A+ in my opinion.
