Aldi
Best American invention since IKEA
Your most popular supermarket

Isn't Aldi for poor people? Just buy from Whole Foods
Ica founded by Hakon Swenson in 1917
>for poor people
Yeah just like Toyota and Honda are.
Um... that’s an American thing. It was founded by Hank Sweston in 1916
Never even heard of it.
But Publix is superior to any supermarket
You mean Costco
Aldi sounds like a bootleg version of LIDL
Lidl is even trashier than Aldi though
Lol, no
Nothing is trashier than LIDL, except Netto
my local Lidl's clientele is comprised almost entirely of upper middle class people
Mine is like walking into the 10% abyss complimented with white schizophrenics
>euros will never know the supreme comfyness of migros
Black or red one? Because we have both in Germany. We got Penny and Norma too.
And Aldi is worse than Lidl btw.
lmao, only white trash, immigrants and German people here.
Modern Rewe or Edeka supermarkets look the same here.
lidl stores here are generally better than the aldi ones. don't know why. probably aldi entered the market sooner and bought up all the shittiest locations around housing projects etc. while lidl came later and had to build new stores.
either way, both store chains (especially aldi) tend to remind me of the bottom ~20% of belgium that are piss poor. i feel as if i'm teleported to east ukraine. aldi shoppers even look a bit like slavs. maybe it's their potato based diet.
frankly it's quite sad
whatever this is
In Germany you have some upper middle class people buy at Lidl at times because they believe it to have the same quality for a lower price like a regular supermarket.
The red Netto is similiar to that one but as a red-yellowish logo. The black Netto is by far the worst discounter in Germany.
I generally don't care about quality, its just all around trashy facilities and questionable german and other foreign brands combined with weird customers.
this
A certain segment of customers seems to like the trashy surroundings more than a regular supermarket. I don't like Lidl either. Most brands aren't regular brands but are only sold at Lidl. So you are right to be suspicious.
It's not the same though.
They just feel souless and more industrial while migros has that small shop feel.
In the UK, it goes like this:
Tesco (27.8%) - Generally seems to be the most common supermarket in Southern England
Sainsbury's (15.8%) - Like Tesco, but slightly more expensive
Asda (15.3%) - Similar to the two above, but generally a bit cheaper
Morrisons (10.4%) - More popular in Northern England
Aldi (7%) - German supermarket used exclusively by povvos
Co-op (6.3%) - Similar to Sainsbury's
Lidl (5.2%) - Similar to Aldi
Waitrose (5.1%) - Exclusively used by posh people
Iceland (2.1%) - Mainly seems to be notable for its frozen food range
Ocado (1.4%) - Online supermarket
rema 1000 is the most popular one, but meny is the comfiest one because of their superior selection (prices are higher thought)
The picture you posted doesn't have much small shop feel to it. It just looks like any upscale supermarket in Germany.
LIDL in Stockholm (i.e. innerstan) is only shopped at by locals
1. ICA (1 300 stores)
expensive but great quality
2. COOP (665 stores)
expensive
3. Willys (200 stores)
moderate prices by shit
4. Hemköp (187 stores)
expensive version of Willys
5. LIDL (170 stores)
cheap but weird german brands (milbona wtf?)
6. NETTO (160ish stores)
trash tier
7. City Gross (42 stores)
similar to ICA
Nah, I walk past the one at Magnus Ladulåsgatan once in a while and only see arabs and trade workers there.
City Gross is King. No contest.
I walk past the one at Sveavägen and it's just regular people
not much difference to ICA Maxi imo. They have cheaper snacks, that's about it.
the patrician shops at ICA Kvantum
Oh, boy, you're actually right.
migro is fucking annoying because they still don't sell alcohol ,and don't tell me to go next door to denner. denner is fucking gross and we both know it. coop #1 or manor if you're a rich fag
problem with City Gross is that they are limited to suburbs and grand stores, so if you live far away from one, you can't shop there.
In my rankings
>1. ICA
>2. City Gross
POWER GAP
>3. Niche stores and immigrant shops like matrebellerna, rimi, matvärlden etc.
>4. Willys
POWER GAP
>9001. LIDL
POWER GAP
>90000001. Hemköp
POWER GAP
>9000000000000000000000000000000001. Netto
I got ptsd from Netto in Sollentuna.
me too. i bought some franks energy drink.
first from the concrete commie buildings and then store itself
it looked so rundown and no one really cared about it.
i feel really sorry for people who are forced to shop there. really makes me appreciate i am not in that position
We have some
Tottus (chilean)
Plaza vea (peruvian)
Metro (peruvian, bought by chilean)
Mega (Peruvian)
Vivanda (peruvian)
Wong (Peruvian, bought by chilean)
Basically the most famous and historically most important is Wong, developed by peruvian chinese family Wong (lol), they sold the chain to the south american boogeyman of supermarkets, Cencosud (chilean) who also has Tottus in Peru.
In my opinion the best one is Tottus right now. Wong is a close second.
Vivanda is the most expensive and kinda for more elitist groups.
Mass is great in the southern region of the country.
Pic related is wong
I doubt anynone's forced to go there. There's this immigrant store down the road and the mall is in walking distance.
Redpilled post
Tesco (I call it Tescoids) is the best supermarket here. I believe it also holds the highest market share
wtf coop exists in schweiz?
almsot every country in europe has a grocery called coop. its not the same coop. coop.ch
Wtf sven. Lidl is godtier shop for basic stuff. If i need some special things then i go to prisma(our ica)
logo looks so similar
they all do in every country that a coop exist
>those chocolate orange lindt bars
migros is turkish no?
we have them all over turkey
I on south coast and me shop morison !!!
Most popular is probably walmart, costco, or sam's club. Aldi is alright but it is a poor person place in the US.
idiot. migros.ch
>store brands
Store brands are what happen when regular brands need to get rid of stock that didn't pass QA.
QA standards for regular brands are quite high so store brands are often not so bad.
Coop is a co-operations of stores
Rankings would go something like this:
1. M&S
2. Waitrose/Ocado
3. Sainsbury's
4. Tesco
5. Asda
6. Morrisons
7. Co-op
8. Iceland
>POWER GAP
9. Aldi/Lidl
I hate the UK so much.
Kroger and meijer
Same here, but then again it's located in white middle class neighbourhood.
?
Aldi is the equivalent of Dacia or Skoda, you poorfag.
I thought you yuropoors hated these chainstores and walked to the "local" store every 3 days
Fancy a drink mid shopping?
Local stores are almost dead. Not really surprising, when I lived in Italy local stores worked 09:00-12:00 and 16:00-20:00. Meanwhile larger chains are just open the whole day. And over here some stores are open 24/7
aldi doesn't have the povvo stigma it once had
it's still cheap and cheerful, but it's seen more as continental and has a certain appeal these days
Chicago area I see
Aldi is populated by nothing but muslim and beaner trash by me
I assume Lidl is the most popular. Over here Lidls are pretty nice, amazing bakery in the morning too.
not talking about yankistan
ICA is trash and I can't believe my countrymen are defending it. They have a 50% market share and are the biggest reason we have some of the highest food prices in all of the EU while simultaneously having so few brands to choose from. They also happen to be the chain with the highest margins in all of Europe.
Damn I knew Italians were lazy but that is insane
Kek you have way more muslims than the US
1.Globus and MS
2.Makro
3.Billa
4.Lidl
5.Iceland
Shit tier: Albert, Penny, Tesco
S-market is pretty popular but bigger stores and Lidl are a bit cheaper
>2m is more than 3m
this is the part where you move the goalposts and talk about percentages
You may find it lazy but they just work to live, not live to work. They want to have a relaxing afternoon with their families. Sucks when you're a consumer though.
Wegman's is God's gift
Most popular domestic supermarket chain
And know their families are out of business. Gotta balance the two
