Almost every country produces music in some form even through the modern LP format, but most are so unremarkable that they're never heard outside of their immediate locations. We have that too, but we also have some of the most innovative and beautiful music artists on the planet. I don't want to discredit other countries of course since they're often better at specific styles than us (UK with 60's/70's rock, Northern Euro metal), but we've got such a wide range of good contributions across the musical spectrum that it's hard to ignore our presence.

If given the choice, I would rather hear some random 2018 release from an American rapper on Soundcloud than another Swiss rock band because there's a higher chance I'll find something interesting. It's pointless to go much further into this topic, but my point is that being 'outweighed' by bad music makes no sense since it's only quantity of good content that matters, and truth be told even much of our so-called garbage has redeeming qualities as well which I cannot say for every country's scenes.
