Why are Americans so selfish and obsessed with individualism? Pic is a typical American suburb. The American pays hundreds of thousands to live in one of these plywood houses. His life is as empty and soulless as his surroundings, he lives without meaning and by the time he is old his house is dilapitated.

I'm selfish and obsessed with individualism, and I wouldn't live in one of those. I'd rather live in a shack in the woods, where I would drive two hours to the nearest city for groceries once a week.
Be careful OP or you'll attract that urbanism mutt.
It's the boomer menace
Millenials want to abandon building wide and want to start building tall
This is a Finnish city. The people experience order and efficiency. The apartment buildings are made like bunkers and shall last for centuries to come. Each one of them comes with a state mandated fallout shelter and sauna to keep the people safe and to keep up Finnish traditions. The worker lives every day with a purpose, to protect and maintain the Fatherland and to ensure the welfare of future Finnish generations.

There's literally nothing wrong with individualism.
The individualist is a parasite. He puts his own needs above those of the people. Welfare comes from responsibility, not from hedonism and selfishness.
The city of Milan is the epitome of city's dominance and perfection.
Let's start by looking at its architecture. Its palaces are large. Its domineering size makes its presence known without it even needing to point itself out. It is rich, as a result of its high number of banks. This gives it the power of money and strength. It is then covered by trees. These trees remind us of mother nature, and how she bows to the greatness of MILAN.
Okie dokie, ant
Imagine giving away half of your paycheck away user haha

Individualism doesn't equate to neither hedonism nor even selfishness. And walfare isn't the ultimate thing to pursue either.
Besides, western cultures are very individualistic, and yet they have mostly been more successful than the collectivist ones like that take from Confucianism for example.

It's all Americans have
Americans like to make a big deal about being patriotic and what not but really it is just empty military support bullcrap
In reality there is no bond between Americans like other countries have
Most Americans couldn't care less about their fellow citizens so long as they themselves are doing fine
There is no concept of the nation as group of people working together
It is why we resist social democracy so strongly
Medical insurance is a thing y'know
Then why do we see rampant selfishness and lack of responsibility in partaking in mutual goals in the individualiatic west. The collective Republic of Finland has lasted for a 100 years and it's going to last even more, this wouldn't have been the case if the Finns had just laid down their weapons and fled to Sweden because it would have been in their own interests to do so.
Isn't that place super rainy?
It looks nice. Fuck off, finn.
This is bullshit, we just don't like to pay taxes
Not if you're poor. Also it is very expensive and unreliable
No it's not, anybody who works full time is required by law to have their employer provide health insurance.
Go outside
that looks like hell
I'll stick to cities with actual amenities and facilities , instead of spending two hours a day driving literally everywhere
The type of people who live in the suburbs spend their freetime away from the city instead of inside it.
reading Henry David Thoreau too much
Based!
Ant is not an insult, ants are magnificent, hard working creatures.
It's because of radicalization, not the concept itself. I expected a finn to be more intelligent but no
oh i can leave the city super easily, becasue there are no suburbs here, it goes from city to beautiful country side :^)
People in the suburbs don't want to be in the city at all, they basically want to live rurally but so do a bunch of other people so it becomes suburban. Also day long road trips are kind of a normal thing here
oops
haha
kind of sounds like the worst of both worlds
So if you work minimum wage and get your legg and half of your jaw shot off the health insurance is going to pay for the emergency care, recuperation, prosthesies and months of fysiotherapy? Also after you retire you will be given all the care you need from medical checkups, emergency care and a stay in a nursing home to the end of your life?
An observation as deep as puddle
You should be reading MORE Thoreau if you think he was even remotely promoting the same thing as "suburban individualism"
That they are, but you're not an ant are you?
Or are you?
hey suburbicucks, how are all those amenities and services? sure is great being within 10 minute walk of every service and store i could ever need and a fantastic subway and bus system making cars obsolete :^)
I sure do love saving two hours a day and not having to pay for a car, insurance, maintenance, or the effort of driving in traffic
No because I can work on my car with the garage door open while listening to my music without having to worry about painting myself as a thief target
No health insurance wont cover that
Also, the government covers care after you turn 65. If you get into a big accident, insurance will cover up to a certain point. If you end up with a chronic problem, companies will refuse to cover you due to the pre-existing condition. Obamacare forced companies to exclude certain things from being considered pre-existing, but I'm not sure all.
This is the ideal city, you may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like
now a map for non australians
Anarchy is doomed to evolve into hierarchical systems just look at any revolution in history
A car isn't required in a good city. I have a motorbike for fun in the mountains
Crime is almost non-existent here,no um... urban Americans...
Absolutely based
>everything's burned
>water is still in the pools
subway stations here have doors to prevent suicides
I also have a dirt bike for fun in the mountains, but it needs to be hauled because it isn't street legal. So i have a truck to haul my bike which requires a decent sized garage and then I need space for my boat.
>Europeans hate American cities because everyone is the same
>Europeans hate American suburbs and small towns because everyone is too individualistic
What the fuck do you people want
That's probably for heat the brakes produce.
They want to see America cease to exist
nah it's to prevent suicides etc
no, they are for preventing suicides

Why are the rooftops green?
In Finland we prefer hanging and shooting ourselves in private
Imao you state-cucks are fucking hilarious. I can't imagine a more cuckhold-like state of mind then handing well over half of everything you work hard for to government bureaucrats, rent seekers, bankers, and degenerates AND then convince yourself that somehow that this state of affairs is justified or ideal because you are such a stupid, pathetic individual compared to the strength of the State and the Nation that you deserve to be dominated and milked like common cattle.
>>Europeans hate American cities because everyone is the same
American cities just suck, they're completely lifeless. A city with only 1 million people like Calgary here has a better developed core than Houston.
I fucking hate the retards who live here sometimes.
Every Euro I've ever met IRL (quite a few at the uni I go to) creams themselves about how great NYC is after they visit
I don't get it myself
Suburbs are going to turn into ghost towns. Millennials and Zoomers like apartments in cities.
>Europeans hate American cities because everyone is the same
>Europeans hate American suburbs and small towns because everyone is too individualistic
You say it like if it individualism and same-ness were somehow exclusive, but that's just how society engineered towards maximum consumption would look like.
who the fuck cares what downtown looks like, I go there maybe 4 times a year
New York is an anomaly in American cities though. It's historic population density is more to do with being one of the few old cities in the US that didn't hollow out to the suburbs after WW2. Also, skyscrapers aren't really a thing in Europe.
It also probably helps that it's on an island
If I preferred wageslavery under billionaires and corporate trusts i'd move to Russia or to your country. You should move to here, Norway or Iceland for a few months to see why our system is superior
cringe
You're so fucking degenerate you can't contemplate the idea of helping your own people and putting the needs of your own race and nation above your own. You have no soul, just like the other capitalists.
I honestly don't get the hate from the rest of the country
NY is the only real city in the United States on par with European cities and it surpasses European cities in many ways
Every other city in the US is a parking lot shithole with nothing to do
Which is why you just don't get it. People go into the city from surrounding cities in other countries. It's a place to meet people, visit local stores, party, go to events, have a good walk around, etc.

>I honestly don't get the hate from the rest of the country

Gee I wonder
Basically all the concrete waterproofing sealant is made by one megacorp in Korea, and they make it in green becasue at one point green was seen as a royal colour.
I guess it could be nice to live in a city like Seoul. But here cities are depressing. Also i don't like crowds.
maybe if it wasn't so shit and you didn't need to drive two hours to get there like some country bumpkin you would go more often
>Finns manifesting their Asian mentality
Can't fight the genes I guess.
I kinda understand why Americans are so suburban. There's no fixing their cities in the short term. It'll take decades to undo the damage boomers did.
Europoor are jelly we have everything
The US is culturally an outdoorsy type nation, at least it is up here in the northwest. People would much rather spend their time out camping with their family or taking day trips to the local nature spots than go to the city.
I live in BC, I already do that as well.
what the fuck...
look at the density here, and the lack of traffic. Public transport baby
>The US is culturally an outdoorsy type nation,
Nice to meet you
those are old people
Finns have to be a little collectivist at least in the nationalistic and patriotic sense or we wouldn't survive next door to step niggers.
suburbs are nice, although i think a denser model with with more semi-detached/terraced houses and three storey homes is more preferable to bungalows as far as the eye can see
I imagine the average European does more outdoor activities than the average American
They are much more active
Maybe they don't go to the same hardcore camping/hunting lengths some Americans do but I would guess that in macro scope they do more in the outdoors
yeah but wheres the parking you dumb shit
Here are Korean old people
vertical city planning leaves a lot more outdoorsy areas.
protip, your backyard on your 1/2 arcre block in a gated community isn't the great outdoors
The future is Asian. The peoples liberation army will march side to side with the FDF to free to people. Billionaires and Swedes beware
as far as biking and walking yes, I don't kn ow about hunting or fishing
where did my picture go?
Americans are really outdoorsy, so long as it involves not actually moving and killing an animal from a chair
This is 30 minutes away from me
fuck off Winnie the pooh and rabbit
>Be American
>Don't have every man's right
>Can't enjoy nature if it is owned by the elite
Underground where it belongs.
Don't think you know too much about hunting
How does Finland feel about Mexicans?
There isn't any shortage of public land here Binland. This is federal public land and then the states have their own public land system which is usually quite a bit more in depth
too bad it;s america and that's all private property
(You)
>be American
>nuclear war starts
>the parking lot is above ground
>above ground parking instead of underground parking and greenspace
