BASED Taiwan
Thanks Trump
Taiwan only had 2 choices, either becoming a total henchman of US of A or cooperating with China.
I wonder where feetfag now is.
maybe crying about his failed youtube sexpat channel kek.
It's ironic that the KMT wants closer ties with China, but if that's the way it's going to be, then I'm happy with it.
What a bitch boy. Fuck that guy in the pic.
That was what the 1992 consensus was all about.
Both sides agreed that they are China, just with different interpretations about who should rule.
The KMT rejects the communists, but not their chinese identity. The DPP, on the other hand, would like Taiwan to become a Japanese prefecture after declaring independence.
Words are that Tsai's family were actually Japanese settlers during WWII, just like Lee Teng Hui and other DPP traitors.
We all know the exact end game
Federal Republic of China, when?
two faggots who don't even live in china or taiwan
Possible US-instigated cross-strait war: Averted
edition.cnn.com
>A setback for Washington
>The DPP's defeat and a possible bigger defeat in the 2020 presidential election also imply strategic setbacks for the Trump administration, which is pursuing a new China policy.
While successive US governments since the 1970s have adopted a "One China" policy, the Trump administration has been tightening its diplomatic and security relations with Taiwan.
While denying any intention to contain China, Washington's new China policy nonetheless seeks to maximize leverages to limit China's power and influences.
>Taiwan naturally fits well within that. In particular, the DPP's antagonistic stand against China creates the perfect synergy with Washington's China policy.
>The prospect of KMT winning the 2020 election will no doubt undermine Washington's China policy. While various KMT governments in the past had very good relations with the US, the party's traditional approach to cross-strait relations will make it less motivated to work with the US to contain a rising China.
The DPP's electoral defeat therefore carries far larger consequences that transcend the island itself, including major implications for both China and the United States.
>Their respective strategic interests are deeply embedded with Taiwan's domestic political situations. In that sense, Taiwan is a key battleground for the rising rivalry between the two great powers.
The KMT ruled Taiwan forever, with the exception of these last couple years.
Their interests are not in being subjugated by the mainland, but being non-confrontational and maintaining the status quo.
[spoiler]Chinese don’t exactly believe in communism. They just use it to expedite the process of grabbing ahold of power, hoarding the world’s money and resources, turning non-chinese lands and peoples han chinese . They will transition into a Han-supremacist federation pretty soon. [\spoiler]
t. nonchinese asian who understands the mindset of the chinese people
Most Chinese want to look like white people, live abroad and have lots of luxury/designer goods.
t. lived in mainland
this has changed in the recent years, tho.
Nationalism has been growing stronger especially among the educated middle class, and worshipping western luxury goods has been gradually becoming a low-class/low-education phenomenon.
You dont have to live in mainland China to figure out that out.
t. enrolled in chink-infested university
Based Chinese!
that wasn't my experience (I just moved back a month ago from a northern tier 1 city). Chinese young people from wealthy backgrounds tend not to give a fuck about politics, they're more into the latest streetwear trends. So yeah they've moved on from Gucci to Gosha. Middle aged to older people I met talked a lot of shit about the party openly to me, had quite a positive opinion of America. Maybe you have to go inland or south to find the nationalism but I didn't see any besides all the CCP billboards and empty slogans everywhere, which didn't seem to be digested by the vast majority of people but just empty signaling. As the economy continues to slow Uncle Xi will become less popular.
So Taiwan is a bitch of china now?
Better than being a satellite state, a henchman of USA.
Taiwan was better off being free than a bitch of china or henchman of usa
I went to school with a Taiwanese manlet who was a fierce independence advocate. He hated Chinese so much, he refused to even talk to any at our school. I hope he killed himself now.
This is true. America really overplayed their hand there with Trump's antics.
Well, those times are over, also thanks to Trump.
Taiwan had to chose, and couldn't afford to play the US card against China any longer, as the current USA clearly has plans with Taiwan against China, which wouldn't be in the interest of any Chinese/Taiwanese people.
Japan and South Korea will have to make a choice eventually as well.
Become even more of a puppet of the USA or strengthen the relationship of its close neighbouring countries.
Yeah looks like Japan and Korea will have to be a puppet for China or else risk being destroyed by China.
are you ethnic chinese
Japan couldn't care less about China or the US. They only care about Chinese collusion in Japanese politics.

lmao dude you're delusional if you think the average Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese (let alone mainland Chinese) wants to live under CCP domination.
I wonder if that really shows the realities on the ground. From my own experience, Chinese people never tell someone in their face that their country is shit. With how the latest hatetrain about D&G looked like, there is a certain rise in nationalist sentiments in China.
Economy wise, the Northeast in China, where the heavy industries are settled, is kinda fucked. But that was already since the 2009 financial crisis. If the absolutely enormous consumer spending during Single's Day showed anything, is that the economy isnt exactly slowing down in regards of people's spending power. I'd say that the traditional manufacturing industries are indeed feeling the heat of the Trade War, but they have been in decline for at least a decade now.
As for Xi's popularity, it is a mixed bag. People complain about his neo-Maoist style on the one hand, but on the other hand, the Social Credit system is actually getting good reception by middle class people since it already fixes up daily behavior and improves "civilization level" among the people.
Bottom line is that people complain a lot, but are still wildly optimistic and increasingly assertive.
lmao dude, you are delusional if you think East Asian people want the USA to be dominating them and stirring up shit in their region.
Democracy doesnt make you belly full and America does not make your country into a stable non-civil-war shithole.
Development under an iron fist does.

Look at all those examples of US nation building in the last few decades.
NONE of them are stable, affluent or anything but shitholes.
But look at Ethopia, which uses the Chinese developmental model:

Many more African nations that arent already destabilized by the West and the US inteference will become success models following the Chinese developmental plan.
Your argument is that countries only grow under a horrible dictatorship which is factually retarded.
You also ignored other countries that grew into economic powerhouses thanks to the west like Japan and Korea.
In fact this thread isn't Jow Forums related it/s so take it over there.
No, I'm that ethnic Jap poster who used to haunt the /sino/ threads a few month back (posting with japanese flag, because I was back in Japan).
The other German flag here might be Chinese tho.
As a Taiwanese, let me explain what the consequence of the Olympics name voting is contingent on. CTOC, the delegation of Olympics in Taiwan controlled by pro-chinese interest groups and KMT supporters, first sent a message to IOC when the referendum was announced, misleading the committee that "the Taiwanese authorities try to put the group under undue pressure in political consideration." This resulted in the notification from IOC implying that the recognition of the local delegation, the admission to Tokyo Olympics in 2020, and the later qualification of team Chinese Taipei might be cancelled if the issue were true. However, the referendum is actually called by the former athlete, Chi Cheng, who was the member of national team as well. Although the declaration which IOC clarified it won't intervene in the local procedures of self-expression is received afterward, this mail wasn't appropriately reported by Taiwanese media, which is known seriously interfered by China and cause flooding of faked news recently, and the panic of disqualification for representative was spread out. It led to the effect that parts of current team members of Chinese Taipei and the public began boycotting the referendum and voted for the disagreement in this discussion. The outcome of the case is ascribed to interference of unfication-leaning groups, crisis of Taiwanese media, and the fear of losing opportunity for admission to Olympics game. In my opinion, the consequence is not a probe of Taiwanese self-identity and political inclination, is more likely a reflection how Chinese political power manipulates the public voice in Taiwan.
>The other German flag here might be Chinese tho.
No your the chink
You have no arguments at all desu other than
>muuuh CCP
>Ignoring the argument
as expected of chinks.
