The day Link actually died. Money Skelly was right, 32 million ICO and after 6 months Link has nothing to show.

The ico had 32m cap. To buy presale you had to buy in chunks larger than 300 eth. Surely there were some bizraelis here. Now. When ico went live, the available market cap for purchase jumped instantly to 30million, leaving only 2mil left for purchase during the ico outside of presalers. In order to participate in the ico, you had to purchase minimum of 100 eth. This is where most of biz came into play. There were several pools being shared around etc, but they were mainly in the ico camp, not the presales. The remaining 2 mil market cap sold out in about 5 mins counting a 3 min site failure due to traffic. So, Biz honestly does only make up probably 5 percent or so of the link holders, not counting the few large biz whales who were in presales. Infact, 95% of the circulating supply is in the top 100 wallets.
What assblaster said was right, we werent meant to have this, and they want as much of it back as they can get.

Honestly not trying to fud but I have a big concern with Chainlink. Chainlink has been on Ropsten for a month and everyone was expecting all these potential partners to test on the test net. The team even told people to keep an eye on Ropsten to see the customers using the network. Well for 3 weeks the only transactions on Ropsten have been regular peeps taking the 100 Ropsten link from the faucet. There has been absolutely no requests for data. In fact, someone asked Thomas why and then Thomas made a run to show it works. Well I see Thomas's request for data but it is the only one.

Why is there no testing on Ropsten? Where are all these customers/partners/devs that are supposed to be drooling at the potential of Chainlink? I know the lack of communication, lack of updates from Sergey, lack of social media presence, increasing competition from Mobius are all red flags but this may be the largest.

Does anyone actually want to use Chainlink?

I always interpret this in the negative. It is hard to argue oracles are worth 32 million (because they are worth much more).

Anyone else remember when he said "ETH is over valued at $7" and then he sold a large percentage of his holdings? Caused mass panic in the markets at the time. Of we can all look back now and realize how stupid that claim was.

there's no reason not to think at eth is overvalued at $7... if it's overvalued at $7, then it is overvalued at $500.

Ok if youre going to make the claim that nothing really has value then we can sit here and say all cryptos are overvalued at 1 satoshi. From an investor standpoint if someone says something is overvalued at $7, then it went on to climb to over $1200, we can very clearly see it was not over valued at $7.

I don't understand this logic, while legality do affect value (things being illegal can make the value go up and down depending on the type of product), your opinion on what should be illegal does not affect your ability to assert its value.
I.E. I think weed should be legal, but I realize that it's not(in my country) and I have that in mind when assessing its value.

Regardless of what you think of Chainlink in particular, an oracle solution is unambiguously one of the most important issues within crypto. They'll be worth orders of magnitude more than $32MM and Vitalik knows this. Everyone with a brain knows this.

Decentralized oracles are worth about as much as it takes to develop the software for them.
So lets say you get a team of some europoors to have a crack at the problem. Say 10 people at 60k a year. 600k for a years work.

This is the thing that Jow Forums doesn't seem to understand. It takes almost zero cost to create a new coin. And the market certainly isn't like facebook. What makes link so unique that I should try to get in? Even when 7 wallets hold 80 percent of all coins?

You can't use this data directly for some obscure reason, but it is okay for you read the data from a bunch of networks/oracles that all query that data source you somehow can't access.
Your data is now magically secure.

Now I guess, but maybe I'm wrong, that somebody with a bunch of chainlink to burn can manipulate the data by outbidding all other oracles in an auction or whatever.
