Why not? They used to attack people all the time, burnt down farmland and killed livestock. They weren't all peace loving like people say nowadays, they killed people all the time. For instance, my great-grandmother was walking home from school in the outback with her best friend, there was a river and on the other side they had this aboriginal mob (this was back in the late 1800's to early 1900's) they were told to never get involved with the aboriginals, one time they were heading back and this abo fella pops up, tells the girl to check her oven. She went back home and found her parents heads inside of the oven. Shit was harsher back in those times so culling them wasn't out of the ordinary.
