Youre already on the system if you have a passport. Its not like theyre asking you to write down every single thing you did while you were away.
The last time I came back, they had these types of kiosk at jfk. Asked you questions and took pictures, done in 3-5 mins. Then you just go in the line and answer a few questions. They guy asked what I did for a job and let me go.

I went to the UK last year. I had to go through a metal detector, take off my shoes, get my thighs and crotch felt up by some guy as he was asking me questions about my trip, and I had to go through an X-ray machine... at every single airport there (Heathrow, Stansted, and Edinburgh).

Only if you use a shitty algorithm for face recognituin. Using ones meant for use in say only Italy you will have a lot if cases where non Italians are confused a ton.
