lived in Venezuela 2009 and 2013. glad I got out of there before it got extremely shit. even in 2013 I was scared shitless whenever I was out in the dark. i still do think its a beautiful country with great people. if it was not as shit balls as it is now I would gladly go back.

I dont have hats, dont use em because I like my hair

what did you do here, and in what places where you?

>You realize Venezuela was once one of the wealthiest countries in the world

How dangerous are the streets right now?

Valencia in 2008, Caracas in 2009 and Valencia again in 2012 (not 2013). my father's company sent him to work there. I was only 8, 9, and 12 respectively. When we moved to Valencia in 2008 we had our car stolen the first week in front of our apartment building. i still enjoyed the time i spent there tho

We could have been a sort of south american norway if we werent infested with corruption and the most retarded "social investment" ever, the goverment literally pays ghetto whores to pop out kids.

Depending on the place, in cities is the north/west areas tend to be the most dangerous and the the east/south is the best

I live in the outskirts of the city on a gated community, with private security and whatnot, but we "allied" ourselves with the people from the ghetto next to us to avoid problems and it somehow works, nobody gets robbed normally at gunpoint anymore because nobody tends to have anything of value outside of their cellphones, but kidnappings and breaking into homes is at an all time high.

Mi family lives in valencia, or whats left of it at least, do you remember the area ? Maybe it was called mañongo?

Oddly enough, my grandparent also had his car stolen right in front of the house, on the middle of the day.

FUCK OFF WE'RE FULL

do you have any cute sisters?

Cringe, quit attentionwhoring faggot. Hope u get stabbed by a rabid nigger when you leave.

Why are you so mean ;-; I just wanna work and live in peace in a quiet place

no

Youre not good at pretending

can you post cute venezuelan girls for me

t. venezuelan government agent

yeah, very close to it i think. my school was in trigal, so it must be.
we got our car stolen in the middle of the day as well. i remember not understanding what was going on (i was a dumb 8 year old).

I can try

is this to your liking?

>my school was in trigal

Do you know what part exactly? Because my grandfather´s house is in that area and we had a school just a block away from us.

>i remember not understanding what was goiing on

shit happens i was the same

How dumb would it be for a gringo with shitty Spanish to go to Venezuela with a Venezuelan friend?

yeah i like that

Im honestly thinking is that central american leftist that lives in the usa

ive seen his posting

Not too dumb if you can keep a low profile, have enough money to be going in a car everywhere and most of all, dont stay in caracas.

Having a venezuelan friend will help more than you think, specially if he knows his way around and has some street smarts.

I was with a polish guy in 2013 from couchsurfing, took him around my city and what not and we were okay, i did most of the talking.

im glad

trigal sur. the school was in a corner by a hill.
valencia and caracas were both really beautiful cities. takes me back to good days. thank you user :')

I would have liked to go, I was offered but it didn't fit into my schedule. I guess you have a passport? I was told passports are like gold to Venezuelans.

Boyyyy I think you were in that school in thinking about, pretty close to the mayor´s house too.

Crazy how that goes. Hope you enjoyed your time here, valencia is pretty nice albeit expensive, and has a very big flaws in many areas.

Hope you may visit someday, regardless of what they may say, colombians are well liked here in most places. I visited bogota and cali before, and I loved it, its kind of my second choice if i cant go to chile.

>You have a passport
Yeah I do, was lucky to get it before the system got fucked to hell and back.

> I was told passports are like gold to Venezuelans.

Its almost like gold desu, with the huge corruption scheme in here, people is charging up to 1000$ for getting you one without the red tape in the system.

Yo no soy colombiano. I think Chile would be better than here, there are lots of Venezuelans here, lots of competition for very low paying jobs. But the people here are lovely.

haha Venezuela is bad amirite my fellow magapedes

Ah, entonces eres americano i guess? En que parte vives?

>I think chile would be better than here
Yes for the most part, but chile is also harder on a lot of ways from getting jobs to legal stuff

Colombia has been the most open to venezuelans in general.

>Lots of competition for low paying jobs

Wouldnt really bother me, I know i could get jobs i got friends there that would hook me up, I also worked in a call center while i was there for 3 months ( a place called sutherland) and i had a good pay and did pretty good on my time earned like 1.5 million pesos with my performance bonuses each month which was more than minimun wage

No, yo soy australiano y solo viajo en colombia, santa marta atm. Proximo es argentina. I saw the place Simon Bolivar died today. I wonder how he would feel about South America today.

Oh cool, I got a friend living in the gold coast and someone else in a place i cant even spell.

Santa marta is a beautiful place, but its the heart of the drug trade, be somewhat careful and dont ask too many questions if you dont know the people.

Also if youre going to be in buenos aires, I got people there too, I can hook you up with details and directions depending on what you wanna do and how much youre gonna stay.

Yeah I would love to know more about the drug trade but my Spanish isn't good enough to ask about it. And don't worry m8 I've been travelling South America solo for 5 months, I'm not stupid.

What people in Buenos Aires? I don't plan on being there for too long but I'm interested, cheers for the offer cunt.

Okay just stay safe then What people in Buenos Aires?
One of my best friends moved there with his wife a couple of months ago, hes a contractor for construction stuff, hes kind of a handyman.

Its a good idea if you dont stay for too long i guess, I also know some people from la plata, but im not close to them but i could still ask directions if necessary.

If you wanna contact me you can hit this email: [email protected]

i´ll make sure to get as much info for you as i can gather.

Cheers man, brave to give out your email on Jow Forums. Good luck with everything, hope it all works out.

where do you live user? from 0 to 10 how hard life has become?

not like theres much to lose about it. Have a good time and fuck some qt´s from around, colombian girls are pretty easy in my experience.

Hit that email up if you want, i´ll be glad to answer.

Barquisimeto, basically in the middle of the country.

>from 0 to 10 how hard life has become?

I´d say its a solid 9, inflation changes prices almost daily, the price of foreign currency went from 250 bolivares to 520 in the spawn of a week.

but as long as you have a decent job you can still buy food and all those basic stuffs rigth?

Are you allowed to hunt or fish your own food? Like a rabbit or a fish or something

>but as long as you have a decent job you can still buy food and all those basic stuffs rigth?

Somewhat yes, I work online and earn like 80$ USD a month and i can eat, but its not like i can become independent and shit, im basically stuck without a future here.

Yeah you can hunt for whatever you want and nobody will bother you, and nobody bothers you because they dont know if youre gonna shoot them.

Ive only hunted for food when i was living in the mountains for shot periods of time to relax, ive eaten river crab, capibara, snake and iguanas.

Once you leave Venezuela, would you ever plan to move back?

Not really.

the only thing i have as attachment to this place are my parents.

Why don’t you immigrate to the States or elsewhere from Chile? Is that possible?

How does capybara taste?

>Why don’t you immigrate to the States or elsewhere from Chile? Is that possible?

I need money, and it is possible, but its a long process, plus living in the states is not something i´d want, i´d rather be in canada for a variety of reasons, but the USA has the most lax immigration requierements.

>how does capybara taste

Its very neutral desu, tastes like shredded beef/pulled pork. Not gamey or anything, very lean meat, pairs very well in many combinations.

I myself like making it in a stew in a crockpot with potatoes and veggies alongside rice. Basically melts in your mouth.
