>Bong police HQ is named after a different country
Why are they so emasculated?
Bong police HQ is named after a different country

your country is named after a continent you only partially control, cuck
The US is the only country that matters in North or South America
based
You do realize bong is short for BRITbong and that Scotland is a part of Great BRITain, don't you?
cope and bluepilled
?????????
scotland is part of the UK
>American education
based
are they implying that Scotland is literally their yard?
bit racist
>not knowing a country is a land
British education.
wat
What does this mean?
>Americans named their CAPITAL after someone born on British soil
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Cringe, don't insult canabros like that.
he was born in Geona m8
George "Genoa" Washington
Scotland is part of United Kingdom who uneducated fool.
You can't claim your country owns an entire continent until you takeover New Guinea. :^)
Christophorus Columbus
what did he mean by this
Free my nigga Scotland
He was born in Hannover you dolt.
The American capital isn't named after Columbus, fren. It's the district, but not the capital.
Aren't there places in your country named New Hampshire and New England?
Yorkshire too if I'm not wrong.
So... explain that.
they have lots even an ulster, be funny if they had a paddy parade there
it's literally called District of Columbia you fucking idiot.
all these replies are seething, it's true
that's not Columbus m8.
A district and a city are not the same thing
>look up which province Bonus Airs is in to make a point
>it's just called Bonus Airs
Unoriginal bastards.
Scotland is a different country to England but it's within the same country as us you tit. Tons of things in England have references to Scotland or Wales. There is a pub near me called the Glasgow Arms despite the fact that it's closer to France.
I know
>Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington or D.C., is the capital of the United States.[4]
>formally the District of Columbia
there's a reason why the mayor is the "mayor of the District of Columbia" and not "mayor of Washington", since mayors are the ones that govern cities.
the city is called District of Columbia.
now fuck off.
nope, the city is outside of the boundaries of the Province of Buenos Aires, it's an "autonomous city", it's in no province.
that's why in school when asked about the provinces they make us say "there are 23 provinces and an autonomous city".
Well, to be fair, don't you have the City of London inside the London city, inside the Greater London
heh, here, taken from the same article you had to open to make sure;
>On September 9, 1791, the three commissioners overseeing the capital's construction named the city in honor of President Washington.
yes, too bad that's not the name of the city.
>only partially control
Do you have any references to Canada?
Are you trying to say that the city of Washington located in the District of Columbia is actually the city of Columbia with a prefix of Washington?
And a mayor doesn't specifically run a city, they are head of a municipal government. Could be a city, district, town, village, etc.
>The seat of the U.S. federal government in Washington is located in a federal district called the District of Columbia
The D.C. is added just to point out that it's an independent district, not related or controlled by any state m8. The city proper is Washington.
There's a ton of Canadian stuff in the UK
no, I'm trying to say the name of the city is District of Columbia.
>District of Columbia after George Washington
sure thing m8
This is weird because your English seems perfectly fine and yet I think the word "district" is alien to you. It's French/Latin so you must have something similar. A district is an administrative division. It could include lots of things, nothing, a town, a city, several cities, etc. In this case the district, named in honour of Colombus, contains the city of Washington.
this is incorrect, the city of Washington ceased to exist 147 years ago.
the city now is called Distrtict of Columbia.
this is not that difficult to understand, I've told you 3 times already, the actual name of the fucking city is District of Columbia, no such thing as Washington.
Don't try mate, he's going to insist and probably even try to edit the wiki if you go long enough at it just to save face
holy fuck you're retarded.
yes, I made an entire wiki article about the repeal of the charter for the city of Washington.
en.wikipedia.org
kys already.
your my hero
You didn't even read it.
>"The Act did not establish a new city or city government within the District. Regarding a city of Washington, it stated that 'that portion of said District included within the present limits of the city of Washington shall continue to be known as the city of Washington.'"
>en.wikipedia.org
>Regarding a city of Washington, it stated that "that portion of said District included within the present limits of the city of Washington shall continue to be known as the city of Washington".
Why would you insist so much that the city wasn't named after Washington in the first place
I know, but it repealed it's charter, it's officially no longer a city.
the charter went to the whole District of Columbia, which means that's the city now, and that's why the mayor is the mayor of the District of Columbia.
and why the city is "formally the District of Columbia".
how it's know has little to do with the official name, everyone calls the Netherlands "Holland", that doesn't make it so.
I'm not saying that Washington wasn't named after him, I'm saying there's no such city as Washington.
it's called District of Columbia, read my previous post, you illiterate faggot.
t. Cletus on a proxy
New Scotland is in Canada (Nova Scotia) and France (New Caledonia) so you're all wrong
wow
another great thread by our american pals
wowow
Revoking a charter doesn't mean a city ceases to exist. For example, my province has 8 cities but only 1 currently holds a charter.
then only 1 is officially a city.
why are you having so much trouble understanding this?
A city is not required to hold a charter.
it does to be officially a city.
there's no argument here, the municipality is called District of Columbia, there's no such city as Washington, not anymore.
you can keep talking all you want, you're just wrong.
you two still going?
thats as autistic as it is impressive
I've been waiting for a friend to come pick me up for about 40 minutes now
what am I supposed to do? I'm bored.
>what am I supposed to do?
phone a taxi
I can walk there, the point is to wait for my friend because we're going to his house, they're running late, should I phone a taxi and go there before everyone else?
