A part of the bill allowed authorities to search people for their citizenship status without a warrant, which is a violation of the 4th amendment. The government cannot search and seize property or personal information without a warrant issued by the courts.

Federal agencies can do things with impunity to an extent, this bill proposed that state and county police could just treat everybody like they're guilty until proven innocent. You could see why this is a problem because most illegals are Mexican, so lots of legal CHIs would be getting pulled over and searched with no regard of their rights.
