I don't think they understand that they wouldn't want to browse Jow Forums given a different upbringing. They think that the people's current wants would be the wants of the people under nazism as well, and that therefore it would crumble.

I think people generally have the wrong idea about nazism because they probably are close-minded, maybe because they feel attacked in some way (eg. liking Jow Forums / not being germanic)

The US was pushed into a war it wanted no part in. This has been the case for almost every war in US history. Without US involvement it is very likely that the outcome would have been different. The convoys that were sent to Britain and to Sevastopol more than likely allowed the allies to keep fighting. My original point was that Nazi Germany was not viewed as bad to the majority of the public. In that time roughly 50% had a ranging view on Jewish people. 50% were okay with them, 50 disliked or hated them. Even in 1941 they were polled and it was found that roughly 60% did not want any form of European refugees.
