No. It was almost eradicated by based Uncle Stalin.

Unfortunately he forgot about s*Lesians

Fuck yeah bud

Attached: tgebergst.png (2000x1200, 39K)

definitely. the different cantons hate each other and are too stupid to realize we need to stick together as a country and hate foreigners and niggers together

based

No

Yes but it's repressed by the centralized state

regional divide, yes
regionalism, no

just on the coasts
they think they're so much better than everyone else

Very

Perhaps you should give back Silesia to the Czechs

no we're very centralised senpai

>the different cantons hate each other and are too stupid to realize we need to stick together
But thats wrong you dumb fuck. We're keeping it together for over 700 years now.

yes, retards tend to be extremely regionalistic
and we have lots of retards here

no it's very weak
only mentionned for banter and food

We have a rugby game every year to decide it, it's called State of origin.

Very much so

*sigh*

yeah

I mean, we are

Yes

But, it's true

I'm surprised the country has hung together for as long as it has.

Yes, many people hate the south and wish we would all just die yet fought a war to keep us in the union

Not really, the thing about making your "national identities" up is that you can change them whenever you want to fit the historical conditions, everyone can be a Mexican anytime because being a Mexican doesn't actually mean anything

They wanted the land, not the people

No, in Eastern Europe any kind of regionalisms is seen as evil and negative, no country has activiely promoted regionalism here.

In my region we sing the local anthem ebfore the country one and if it's a scientific conference and the guests from warsaw or something won't stand up we tell them to.

Strange how they hate Southerners for supposedly being backwards or intolerant yet wish to kill them and all of their culture

yeah. since nationalism is still kinda weird here everyone just dickrides their region

I find it coherent: if you think something is perjudicial you'll want to get rid of it

But they themselves are doing what they accused southerners of doing by being so hateful and intolerant

I think one could relieve the inconsistencies if we were to adopt a more relative stance regarding this morals; I mean if we assume that being intolerant is always bad by itself, then yes, it's a very large contradiction; but if we say that being intolerant is not bad by itself, but by its relation to other people, then the contradicition can be solved. For example, being intolerant or hateful towards a Catholic in the context of religious tolerance would be inmoral, but being intolerant against a religious ritual that involved human sacrifice would be, in ralation to the victim, morally laudable

o sul é o meu pais

Only as banter. The country is way too small and flat for anyone to be really isolated so people aren't all that different.

well, Rio Grande do Sul and Entre Ríos belongs to us

Unless your a boomer in a small town who complains about "Aucklanders" making everything cost more.. no. Honestly most people wouldn't be able to point to more than 5 towns on a map.

Maoris complain about land rights and want there own regions, but they complain about everything (Nothland for example has a large amount of tribal/Native land and most of the trusts are corrupt as fuck and the living conditions are worse than indonesia).

Yes. To outsiders it seems like Canada has no culture, but that's because our culture is found at the provincial/regional level. Quebec is the obvious example of this, but distinct culture exists in all parts of the country.

Being a weak state dependent city dweller does not make you superior just because you have more options for consumerism. Remember all cities have absolutely no modern culture, just commercialism and media.

>Nothland
Um does it look like vietnam or thailand for some reason?, I think some Asian tourist uploaded pictures of south east asia accidently in the northland google images.

? I don't think so. Link picture.

My city, Rotterdam, has a rivalry with amsterdam but it's mostly banter.

Absolutely, but it tends to be a little subtle.

Lets turn this thread into Italian civil war.
What is the best region in Italy and why is it Liguria?

big time, yeah
Newfoundland's been around for ~520 years now in one form or another, and only been canadian for 70 years
Quebec's historical resistance to anglo imperialism has led to a strong identification with provincial culture, mostly in the vein of language
Nova Scotians will very much let you know that they are nova scotian
Albertans have equalization payment graphs in their back pockets always by provincial mandate

Muscovites are the reason Russia exists

it's veneto dumb goy

Wtf I love Brasil now

Shut up, Cisplatina.

Yeah ok idk about that it. Northland is third world but not rice paddy third world.

I think what's happened is a vietnamese tour group went through and she uploaded the wrong photos to google images.
