I'm not European and I find this very fascinating. Do old men in your cunt do it also?

yes

no. and the fence are usually covered with ads or drawing of how it's going to look when its finished so you can look in

Absolutely

yes i think its cool but don't want the construction workers to think im a fag eyeing them up

>latin autism

no
polish constitution grants you the ability to legally curbstomp someone if they stare at you working for no fucking reason whatsoever regardless if it's a male/female child/elderly.

No. Ours are notorious for watching accidents.

They should play Fortnite

I've done it and I'm not European nor an old man

Always. I work construction and almost always have old folks standing around watching. They especially love the bigger machinery.

I do it too and I'm 27

here are some archeologists investigating a medieval cemetery before the construction of an underground garage

Do you have any idea why they do it? Were they simply bored? Why watch construction site and not accident like said?

Same here, but people nearby gave me a strange look if I loiter around for too long.

I would bash their skulls in

>any idea why
I've talked to some of them and mostly it's genuine interest in what's happening. Also, they don't have much to do.

>if I had a job I would bash their skulls in*

no

i do it too

This

I personally never really saw that happening, but then again most of the places I see construction on don’t have much standing room, like bridges for example.
I’d bet they’re just bored and looking at what is going on, maybe for some it could be a sentimental thing as well depending on what was there prior.

Most construction sites around here are covered with wood paneling because of noise and eyesore.

>Do you have any idea why they do it?
if you want to know my reason, in Hungary every time they start digging to make way for the foundations of a building or a motorway the workers find something ancient, like a celtic village, a roman villa, or a church from the 12th century, and so when I happen upon a construction I'm naturally intrigued to inspect the area more carefully, hoping that maybe I will catch a glimpse of a broken vase, a piece of mosaic, or a human skeleton.

Apparently Italians do this a lot.

Yes, some even start chatting with the workers

>Chatting instead of working
baka... No wonder constructions take years to finish.

Seniors mostly, here in Finland over 70+ years

No

>tfw when no qt Hungarian archeologist gf

All the time
They do the same with obituaries

i do that sometimes and im not even old.

That picture is from my city
Old men watching WiP turned into a huge IRL meme with shitty Facebook pages and official cards and it's ruined now

No, but on summer you can usually spot old people sitting outside of their houses watching passing cars and people

Based

I do it every day

Italians mate. Its their national sport.

Why would you even go outside if you have webcams for that though?

youtube.com/watch?v=rEDdTkMzgXg

this is pretty sweet and warm. Muslims do this too except these animals do this all the time bc they dont work and they start doing it from the age of 20.

how the fuck am I supposed to bother the workers with my random questions

Yes.

>in Hungary every time they start digging to make way for the foundations of a building or a motorway the workers find something ancient, like a celtic village, a roman villa, or a church from the 12th century
Does this happened a lot? I would wait for real and watch them digging shit had I know there's gonna be some historical stuff buried below.
I didn't expect this kind of activity to be that popular among european senior. Old men in my home cunt usually travel to the nearest countryside and watch people doing farmwork and shit.

An old lady living on the same street as mine does something similar. Whenever it's sunny outside, she would open her window on the ground floor, watch cars and people passing by, sometimes chatting with pedestrians as well.

Mostly Swedish guys working for my company, there's a Syrian guy on the team though but he's alright.
Other than that we do work with Polish subcontractors a lot. Those guys can be both good and bad, some don't really seem to understand the "safety first" rule we use.

When I visited Chile, I saw construction workers working at night. Weird, I don't think that this would be allowed anywhere, for obvious reasons.

>construction workers working at night
Kinda common here. Also it gets dark around 13:00 in the afternoon here in the north so working in the dark is just what we have to do during the winter months.

Michigander here.
You'll often see old people staring at ships here (i.e. freighters on the Great Lakes). My dad once took me to the Soo Locks when I was a kid and he was absolutely geeking out.
Never happens with construction, though. Usually too noisy. Only time I watch construction workers is when I'm stuck in a 30 minute delay on the expressway because the expressway was supposed to be fixed months ago but looks like work will continue until mid spring.

God I hate old people

Why? You'll be old one day to.

>sometimes chatting with pedestrians as well.
Sometimes i could get pretty interesting stories from old people in the neighbourhodd where i used to live, like the old man wich his parents emigrated from Yugoslavia, or the retired policeman that lived on the next street.
They must be all dead now tho
Night shifts at construction sites usually consists of secondary tasks, like planning for tomorrows work or receiving trucks with materials, but those shifts are usually emergency measures

>it gets dark around 13:00 in the afternoon

And the sun rises at 10 in the morning.
Well, in a few days the sun won't rise at all for a couple of weeks.

Of course, we need to check if immigrants know how to do their job

Vid is in Finland and a little further south than me but same thing.
Summer vs winter difference in daylight.

youtube.com/watch?v=nTjyt-6hJQw

Those are probably inspections and stuff, noisy work can't be done past 9 pm.

where I live the sun usually rises around 5am ~ 6am and sets around 6pm ~7pm

no wonder seasonal depression is so common in Europe. Hope it doesn't afflicts you user!

>santo cristo

thanks for the info!

It can be annoying sometimes. It's dark when you drive to work, and dark when you drive home.
But you learn how to adapt to it. I kinda like it now.

Summer on the other hand can be equally difficult since the sun never goes down. About 3-4 months without night. Hard to sleep.
