On one hand, I know a good few people who moved out at 17/18 for college but on the other hand, rents are high here now so you hear stories of people stuck at home. Plus Ireland's a small place so you don't necessarily have to move out for work. I'd say the ratio of people living with their parents to those living away from them is quite even so either way, it's normal. I moved out when I was 17 for college but now I'm 21 and finish in a few months so I'm considering going back home to save money

Lived at home till 30 not counting college. I was severely depressed, didnt finish college went back at 27, finished and then could only find a job at Home Depot. Luckily I eventually got a real job and then I had to move because it was a 3 hour drive.
