My main gripe with eating snails is that you're eating all their intestines too. Frenchies convice me that this is something too good to pass up.

You already do the exact same thing whenever you eat shrimp. Just look up pictures or videos of what shrimp look like when they're alive. It'll make you realize that being arbitrarily grossed out by snails or crickets or anything else of that sort is rather silly.

It is true. In maritime zones like here in Catalonia we also eat all sorts of sea abominations. Sea cucumbers for example. We call the common species "espardenya" (espadrille). One of the general names for the animal "type" is "cagarro de mar". Sea turd.

It tastes good and surprisingly the consistency of the meat is pretty firm and nice.

Pork jowls/cheeks are a delicacy, to me and many inhabitants. Same with pork feet, although these ones I like less because of the texture.
