It really depends on where you celebrate it, my next-door neighbor is Orthodox and my parents feel obliged to visit him every year on Christmas and Easter since he does the same on both Eid festivities and drag me with themselves as if I'm in charge for their relationship as neighbors and to make it seem like we gave a shit about each other and didn't hate ourselves based on our respective ethnicities, it's not too different from Eid or at least how we celebrate it here
