American English and British English
Which English is cooler ??
Which English is superior ??
American English and British English
American definitely
Fuck English "english"
I cant understand brits
Brits butcher english
please no don't do this
british spoken english is not unified or standardized until the time of radio when some accents begin to be regarded better than others
than they developed received pronunciation to teach to the public (private) school students so they don't get bullied by their regional accent as well as have a defining "british speak" on the air waves, the way the queen speaks and how the bbc broadcasters used to speak is received, it is not, unless they are royalty in which case it's the only thing they learn, how they would speak normally or socially
american english is just trash
in terms of spelling american is more "original", british spelling is derived from french influence in the 18th and 19 century in order to "look prettier" such as the "ou" and "sation"
we speak normal fyi
redcoat english dosen't count
:^)
>haha dude broseph dod you see the new Rick and Morty episode last night? Hella good bro
American English is cringe
American, because it doesn't have the subhuman Scouser accent
American and British boys should kiss
drop the proxy
based and pinkpiled
Dont hang out with faggots.
American sounds pretty gay with those soft drawn out R's and vowels
British/Australian English has better slang and colloquialisms so there're more ways of expressing yourself casually/informally (the way it should be). Americans talk to each other like they're reading off a teleprompter.
I think the english accent is regarded in the united states it much the same way you in finland look at the swedish accent
American English is mostly Nigger speak, English English is based and redpill
>British/Australian English
two different things
auzzi auoi oi oi
indeed, Australian english is an evolution of vulgar london slang of the 19th century coupled with abo words
Norfuhn engerlish is unironically super cool but the kind euros get taught in school is rp which sucks ass. Pretty much a made up accent made by the elite to sound elite. American English sounds lame to because it's so familiar at this point to many people, at least that's my guess. But overall, I think only really the southern drawl is cool, general American doesn't have many interesting characteristics. I speak with a Minnesota accent so that's kinda cool but it's certainly not sexy or exotic.
British (London) > the rest of british english > USA english >((((power gap))))> Australian
and how would you categorize the "london english?"
so faggy?
no its not
we are not going by upper class
we are going by what it actually is
british english is trashy white nigger speak because brits are white trash niggers
But only blacks use ebonics
you'll need to post slower, he's from Häme
British English so dumb and incomprehensible. Fuck British English.
why no brits???
I need to say hello to /brits thread
Speak Russian English, faggot
American is easier to understand but British sounds cooler
>Which English is cooler ??
American.
>Which English is superior ??
British.
Is there a utube video/film where someone with howdy accent travels to England?
Accent ranking;
Australian>Scottish>Norf>Souf>Wales>Midwestern American>New England>Southern>West Coast
they literally identical bar a few phrases and pronunciations
far closer than Spanish / Mexican english
I'm actually from England
it's no surprise that the greatest Anglo accent is the one that synthesised the best American accent with the best British accent to create the Trans-Atlantic accent
This is apparently what American English sounds like to those who don't speak any, make of it what you will.
vocaroo.com
is that someone speaking english?
It's me just reading gibberish English, posted it here a bit back and Non-English speakers said it sounded like English. Give it a go if you'd like.

American pronunciation + British spelling = Canadian English master race
>british school of spelling standardization
sycophantic as usual
English spoken with a Paki accent
I like both but honestly I don't understand 1/2 of what Brits say. That's on me ofc
British spelling + Australian slang + Western Sydney (Wog/Leb) accent
American "english" is nothing more than a result of the process of bastardisation of the English language comitted by both actual and mental niggers.
Or maybe it's because there's an ocean between Europe and North America?
We speak exactly the same except for a few idioms and spelling few words differently, your seething butthurt is just sad.
Do you just type random nonsense hoping nobody will fact check you since burgers are asleep?
The distinction isn't worth considering unless you speak one of the two natively. In all likelihood, you're not going to be able to reproduce the accent of either and there aren't many differences between the two in the first place.
It's the same language, nigga.
You're not wrong kek
No, early Americans literally went about stripping down the English language to make it simpler.
Really cringe, Canadians literally speak EXACTLY like Americans and there is more variation between states than between Canada and most of the U.S.
Are you sure that it wasn't because America was settled mostly by peasants and poor immigrants? Poor people in England didn't exactly speak eloquently either.
America was settled by religious puritans.
Yeah you ruined our English too, thanks a lot fuckers.
Newfies and Quebecois don't sound like Americans at all. In fact Canadians in general don't have the awful nasal accent that most Americans have. I know the rest of the America and the world rip on the south-eastern accent because it apparently sounds dumb, but it is the most pleasent American accent by a country-mile.
>Canadians literally speak EXACTLY like Americans
Sorry I don't speak ebonics
Leafs never make good posts.
>Newfies
So what? Speak nothing like the majority of accents
>Quebecois
Considering they speak French it's no wonder.
I work with a Canadian from a small town and he sounds quite literally indistinguishable from everyone else. Only New Yorkers have nasally accents to so I don't know what you're on about.
Tais-toi Amerdecan.
>French larper
You sound retarded to the real French.
You sound retarded to real English speakers.
Can confirm
Not really, and even so not nearly as bad as Quebecois.
Your west coasters have nasally or coarse accents. In fact their accents are far worse than New Yorkers, since NY accents are funny. West coasters have terrible accents.
Are you talking about like valley girl "omg totallyyyy" accents? Cause I'll agree those are shit but when I lived out west for a year most people just had a generic "Midwest" American accent.
>Canadian English
>Hello, may I ask you directions to the local library?
>American English
>AYO NIGGA, LEMME AXE U HOW I GET TO DA KFC ON CRENSHAW N FURST?
Totally the same
cringe
b a s e d
>religious minorities weren't poor
The surfer dudebro and the OMG totally accent is a southern Californian phenomenon, not a west coast thing.
You know that's how you talk
There's more diversity within Britain, in terms of spoken English, than amongst all other Anglophones.
most american accents sound like poof-speak, im sorry. more than accents though, everyone's voices sound so fucking effeminate and whiny these days, worldwide. why is that?
Based grzegorz
Most English and American accents are terrible. The American accent that movie stars use is the only good one because it sounds badass while the dapper upper-class sounding English accent is the only good one because it sounds so high-class. In contexts where those accents don't fit though they sound just as shit as all others. The only accent I can truly tolerate is Australian because it's my own, but apparently other English-speaking countries find it annoying
> The American accent that movie stars use is the only good one
Most actors talk in general American accents and sound like most people though.
>Americans talk to each other like they're reading off a teleprompter.
Funny, this is exactly what I think of brit english
theres English spoken in Enland and theres dude oooh my gawd that is like the most Br'ish thing i have like ever seen man english where it only means rp
literally how did the brit get the 'refined gentleman sipping tea' stereotype
when in reality most of them are violent slobs and slags sipping cheap canned beer while watching football
>gentleman
more like
>FECK OFF YA CUNT
What if I told you that American English is the original one and British English is more bastardized?
Why do people hate Hella so much?
thats just a meme because english used to be rhotic. Those people sound legitimately disabled
at about 2:20 theres a reconstruction of Shakespearean english youtube.com
It doesn't sound American at all it sounds west country if anything
I like Australian English. As weird as it sounds, their accent(s) is well suited to their sense of humor.
Soft? They're basically growls where I live. Non-rhotic English sounds frail from my perspective because of it. And in casual speech half the vowels are basically "uh" here in the South.
>Uh reckon the English arrrrre scairt uh R sounds seein' as they never use 'em.
It's perpetuated by shit TV programmes like Sherlock. Even in London people barely speak RP. Also feck is Irish.
This is a real English accent.
Neither of these even exists. Each region of Burgerstan and each Bongistani backwater shithole in bumfuck nowhere has its own dialect or even a bunch of them. There are places in the UK where locals themselves aren't sure about the proper pronunciation of their own village. The concept of a unified, coherent "British English" or "American English" is a meme which has nothing to do with reality.
brits have more insults in their vocabulary
Wagwan bredrin
They sound very similar to the Canadian Maritime accent
Fuck off shitskin.
British English is superior but American English is easier for JFs to understand.
Aussie English is hands down superior to both bong English and mutt English
Aussie English is just an offshoot of Cockney
where i work I've heard more American accents than i have my entire life and it honestly sticks out like such a sore thumb and their women honestly sound like transexuals half the time
they sound like 60 year old pack a day smokers or 10 year olds
Anyone else notice how effeminate American English has gotten in the last 20 years? I'm not even trying to put Americans down here but even your menfolk are adopting a sort of Valley girl slur in their everyday speech. You need to get california and the jews on a leash asap before they rek your accent forever. I'm not bullshitting and i'll demonstrate with examples if anyone doubts my sincerity
American english for me desu, i find the british accent completely retarded, and it's much easier to learn too. Furthermore with all the influence they hold and their movies whose the industry have been flooded with for decades now, for most people they'll be having a simpler time learning american english. I mean you'll hear more often "elevator" over "lift".
examples?
I have noticed it, it's also prevalent in western Canada. The classic North American stoicism is almost entirely gone.
I like Aussie accents I do, but you're the last people who should be talking about females accents. I can't even imagine how soft my dick would be if an Australian woman said something while we fucked.
Scottish. youtube.com
It's the opposite for me. The hottest accents on a woman are English accents other than my own or general north American. Brit, Irish, Kiwi, Aussie, even American southern, all do it for me.
