who americans consider to be their greatest president after JFK?
Who americans consider to be their greatest president after JFK?
JFK isn't even top 10, one of the most overrated presidents in history
Most people would probably say Reagan or Bush Sr. because of ending cold war.
Some autists will say Nixon, but most people either don't care, or dislike, Nixon
t. I know more about America than Americans
He's overrated, sure, but he's still in the top 5 easily.
Reagan is still popular among the older generation.
Trump
>plunges the whole world into neoliberal status quo
Heh, nothing personal humankind.
I read that Bill Clinton got a decent approval rate among democrats and republicans
Bill didn't have any lasting effect on the US
My family is fairly conservative but they like Bill, although mostly for his personality. He was the last 'moderate' Democrat president the US has had.
Either one of the Roosevelts, probably
legitimately though is George bush jr the worst US president?
i mean most of the economic problems America has at the moment which aren't kind of just cyclical from not having a manufacturing monopoly anymore is because of him being an absolute mongoloid in the middle east
Lincoln because he was the only one with enough balls to stand up to southern retards.
Dubya was bad but he wasn't anywhere near as bad as the presidents that led up to the Civil War.
Good post Ivan
>legitimately though is George bush jr the worst US president?
Not even remotely
Buchanan, Harding, Hoover, all much much worse.
Only complete idiots consider him to even compare to them
>moderate Democrat president the US has had.
What does that mean? Obama was also a moderate.
>Obama was also a moderate
Uh, no. He's easily the most far left president the US has ever had.
You forgot Andrew Johnson, by far the worst
People like him are convinced Obama is a socialist due to shit education.
>People like him are convinced Obama is a socialist due to shit education.
Name three presidents more left-wing than Obama.
>You forgot Andrew Johnson, by far the worst
I was just naming a few
FDR?
Carter
FDR
JFK/LBJ (Civil rights act, war on poverty, expanding Medicaid)
He really wasn't that left wing.
At least by the modern definition.
Even if he was more socialist than most American presidents. He ironically saved American capitalism
Interning the Japs and being a war hawk definitely exclude him from being the most left wing.
Carter I'll grant you, but not the others. FDR interning the Japs and being a warhawk exclude him from being that left wing, and both JFK and LBJ were just going with what the current public attitude was (at least outside of the south).
>being a war hawk
FDR actively tried to keep the US out of the war.
We even let the krauts attack us and get away with on several occasions.
Also interning the nips was justified because of the Niihau incident
That's arguably more because of the changes made by folliwing presidents. Still, nafta, welfare reform, and deregulation which contributed to the housing crash are all considerable things
I'm talking about economically left, which FDR was much more than any president in 20th/21st century.
He had much less of a choice than Barack "drone the middle east and lets help Saudi kill children" Obama.
its pretty funny when thats the moderate american position
With your garbage logic, Obama is no better.
Drone strikes, intervention in Libya/Syria, arming jihadist to fight Assad, arming socialist Kurds to fight daesh, countless bombings, continuing the war of Afghanistan and aiding Saudi Arabia in Yemen.
JFK wasn't our greatest president; the dude wasn't even president for a full term. The reason why he resonates with Americans is because he was a great orator and sparked a sense of pride in us.
I would say it's a toss up between Lincoln, FDR, and Washington.
Trump and Bush jr. cut similar figures, descendants of fabulously rich families (tho only Bush is an actual WASP), sort of dumb jock types, made it in business, firmly right wing, utterly vilified by the entire world in their position as POTUS.
Jimmy Carter Tbh
Hello my peanut brother!
OP asked for the greatest not the worst.
Peanuts are rich in vitamin E, so I like Jimmy
>Bush
>Wasp
George W is a literal Euro mutt. Trump is 50/50 German/Scottish
Drumpftards would say Reagan and liberals Obama and Carter. Everyone would agree on Jefferson, Washington and Lincoln
george washington is considered the greatest overall not only for being one of the most important people in fighting for the creation of the country but for creating a lot of the precedents of the presidency. theres a lot of reverence for our founding fathers. then lincoln is probably up there too for guiding the country through turbulent times like the civil war. american history has a massive hardon for abraham lincoln.
in the modern ere yeah jfk was considered great in an era where people were starting to mistrust our presidents for going along with having wars in farflung countries.
trump is unironically the best president of the modern era so far. from a social standpoint he hasn't been great but from a policy point of view hes the best president that we've had in a very long time and what hes doing is exactly what the country needed for decades.
What did that makes him top5?
>Obadiah Newcomb Bush was born on January 18, 1797 in Penfield, New York. His father, Timothy Bush Jr. (1766–1850), was a blacksmith; his mother was Lydia Newcomb (1763–1835). His paternal grandfather, Capt. Timothy Bush Sr. (1735–1815), was an American Revolution militia captain.
They're not exactly an 'talk only to god' Mayflower-descendent colonial merchant family, but compared to the average American they might well be.
It's weird that you insult supporters of Reagan by calling them "Drumpftards" but just call liberals 'liberals'.
nobody thinks jimmy carter was a good president, he was considered one of the more disastrous presidents of the modern age. almost as bad as bush jr.
*descendant
Probably LBJ lol, pretty much all post Kennedy presidents were shit
Nixon was the best president of the US since FDR.
calling a modern day liberal a "liberal" is a good enough insult.
He wasn’t bad but he also didn’t do a whole lot of notable shit and got himself impeached for lying about getting his cock sucked which is what everyone will remember him for regardless of how relatively nice the times were
At least LBJ had the decency to just openly flop his pecker out on the table
>knowing more than 2 or 3 presidents of burgerstan
lmao what is wrong with europoops
it's completely useless knowledge
Not the worst but the worst in “modern” times yes
We’ve had some hilariously incompetent retards in office. Harding, Harrison etc
Not as useless as knowing any rulers of Poland
That's probably the result of your media, but you probably don't need to imagine that a lot of liberals/progressives are often pretty awful people and stupid. I'm sure there's plenty there.
That’s a yikes from me
>knowing literally anything about Poland other than how they thought wings would make horses faster and are all poor plumbers
Nixon was pretty good when he wasn't being a paranoid faggot
it's fun knowing the rulers of Poland tho if only to find out how all their policies and designs were utterly ruined by foreign invasion time and again
he died
No, Poland was ruined because of how mind-numbingly retarded the Sejm was.
I know more than 2 Polish presidents. That's real useless knowledge
this
i think bill is the president id be most likely to hang out with from my life time, hes also the president id be most likely to fuck hookers with and do coke with in my life time. i dont want to say he lucked out but.. he lucked out a bit. he got america at its peak peace and in a great economy in a time he didn't really control. the internet was becoming huge during that time and a lot of the tech giants were getting their start so our economy was being turbo charged by that. and the cold war had JUST ended a few years earlier as he was coming into power so americans werent too afraid of going to war or getting nuked and vaporized.
also a lot of the problems the country has faced today come from his presidency, like NAFTA aiding to deindustrialize the US or transferring weapons technology to china who then gave weapons technology to north korea.
i really dont blame him for getting his cock sucked and lying about it, thats such a non issue to me. but if you look into the issues he had as governor of arkansas (cia drug running, a lot of political opponents of his just magically being in car accidents, plane crashes, committing suicide before going to court to oppose clinton, things like that) then you start seeing the real issues.
Clinton would fit in well here with his love of Khazar milkers
JFK was a show horse. LBJ was the work horse
