Anyone else push baskets for a living?
Anyone else push baskets for a living?
didnt think this was a fulltime job, just some extra you did
probably has more money than me
only the literal Special Needs and non-English speaking foreigners did this job
I know one guy that does that and he have a house, I don't.
Its not a bad gig if you want to just make money. And not deal with bullshit.
I PUSH BOXES FOR A LIVING ASK ME HOW I FEEL
how do you feel?
>Anyone else push baskets for a living?
come on bro.. we all know this board deals with the bags
Are they hiring?
Asking for a fren
>pushing carts 24/7
>not bullshit
>actually making money
Poor people need to unironically kill themselves. Gross.
I frequent the same grocery store and there has been a cart pusher for 5 years now. Looks like a chill job and get out in the sun. I sometimes wonder if he is happy while I’m stressed to death
nothing most likely
My thoughts exactly.
Totally agree. You can imagine that the second he leaves work he's not thinking about it. Also, that feeling you get when you've done physical work, that proper tiredness, is great for a good night sleep.
i feel like im fighting shit every time i go to sleep, its 12 hours so my hours are counted
Its a nice contrast from dealing with an office job. And I have done both. The problem is that people cant fucking understand that someone may choose to do something like that just to make ends meet for a bit. Once someone sees you pushing carts you are instantly never capable of doing more.
My friend did this and he's pretty intelligent. He's just really lazy and didn't want to be a cashier at Walmart. Now he makes like 70k in IT or something, however he pushed carts when he just got out of high school for money, so I suppose that's different.
>you are instantly never capable of doing more
Correct. Also look which website you're on.
Walmart ALWAYS needs cart pushers because most quit really fast. The ones who stay for many years are usually really lazy people who don't care to make more or they are mentally disabled.
Problem is cart pushers might actually get paid less than a cashier so it's not good for making money, just being really lazy and not having to care about your job that much.
>Once someone sees you pushing carts you are instantly never capable of doing more.
Those people I wouldn't want to work under nor be associated with anyway.
>be me
>chad
>push carts at walmart
>make 5k a month+3k in tips for puushing people's carts
>have massive muscles from constant working out
feels good
the larp in this post is incredible
Used to, was one of the comfiest jobs ive had
What's the worst grocery store job? Cart cuck or Baggot?
Baggot because the customer is going blame you for shattered eggs and other shit.
Packing shelves is ok, especially when the shop is closed so don't have to deal with customers.
I did it for 4 years. Then I got a regular job. Preferred packing shelves desu.
These cheap ass companies cant provide a fucking golf cart or something to push them around with?
Yeah its kind of bullshit either way.
>???
I am from europe and i make much less than this chad but i also bring in around 3k euro pushing carts bro. It made me pretty fit too over the years. I literally dated and fucked milfs whos cart i pushed to their cars haha.
No, I do carry some bags around though.
kek
It’s 10x better than a Customer Service, Cashier, or Sales Floor Associate. All you have to do is load things for people and collect carts. Everyone leaves you alone and don’t ask you autistic fucking questions.
>Service Desk
>Guy brings in paint can from 2016
>wants to return it
>tell him no
>goes fucking ballistic
>tells me he is going to stab my eye with pencils
Or
>lady brings in shop vac
>she says he won’t turn on
>open up the box and plug it in
>she said she didn’t know what the plug was for the wall
>tells me she wants to return it because it she already brought
>she ends up buying the same thing and comes back in an hour later saying the same thing
Yeah, I ducking envy those cart pushers. I fucking do. We all get paid the same. Minimum wage.
Chill. Some people need to do those jobs. I'm fortunate enough to not need to ever have to do that kind of work (or any other work I don't want to do), but that doesn't mean I find poor people disgusting. Actually, people like you disgust me a lot more.
I used to work in produce. Around 50hr/week at $8.50/hr. Forced to wear a tie with white button up. We put aprons on anyway, but had to wear the tie just so you could see the top of it over the apron. Didn't have many shirts so all my white shirts just got yellow from sweat but they didn't give a fuck. The main tasks were:
1. Sweep the fucking corn husks people just toss on the ground
2. Look for any products getting low and restock them. This involved going into the this refrigerated room where all the produce is kept, finding and loading up a cart with w/e product was needed.
3. Unload shit from the trucks into the refrigerator. The worse is the fucking corn because it comes in wooden crates held together by bent rusty metal wires that barely work.
4. At the end of day take wheel all the non-refrigerated shelves with ice and dump them out.
I usually worked a 1:00 to 10:00 shift 6 days a week. It sucked balls because when I got home around 10:30 I just wanted to go to bed. And I would sleep in and only have 2 hours before I need to go to work again. I would never have time to make lunch so I always rushed during my 30min timed lunch to buy something for essentially an hour or mores pay.
Thank god I didn't fall for the college-is-a-meme meme and make literally 10x that worked a much more laid back job where I wear jeans and a golf shirt every day.
i used to
now i'm a software engineer
i kind of miss retail
Used to do that at HEB for $10.50 an hr. Was a solid job to have at the time.
I did this when i was 14 for $5.50 an hour kek
I was store standard (cart pusher) at walmart for almost a year. Not a care in the world. Used my wage to buy crypto.
Now I am in college and I am stressed to death.
you're nice person
t. casino worker
I can see the bliss in this life
how become cart pusher
yep, do it for $11/hr since I just started, really looking forward to the yearly raises. the coworkers are pretty cool too and i actually saw a side of myself i never knew i had, almost immediately after i got hired i cut the bullshit and started actually being social. saw female i knew there too one day and she gave me her number but im not falling for depreciating assets. "oh my gosh you're sweating user" "yeah it's whatever i guess" *gibs digitz* "text me". worst day i had was a 9 hour day in 102 degree weather. anybody have to work in the rain/snow yet, if so how bad is it?
yknow if walmart catches you accepting tips you're gonna get yelled at, it's against the company policy to accept gifts from customers
I deliver for Jimmy Johns 25 hours a week, make $14/hr after gas. Girlfriend inherited property from her grandma, so no rent, no debts. 10 minutes from the beach (Florida). Car is paid off. Life is chill, glad I sold my crypto.
We're thinking about becoming flippers since there's always estate sales in our area (old boomers dying).
I’ll never understand people caring about status that much. I used to be a pizza delivery driver after my MSc because it seemed waaaay comfier than finance or some other “serious” shit. Now I’m finishing my PhD so I can try to have that comfy academic lifestyle. If I fail, cart pushing or pizza delivery would be unironically a more attractive choice than consultant... frugal life is best life.
>yknow if walmart catches you accepting tips you're gonna get yelled at, it's against the company policy to accept gifts from customers
I've been slipping my local Walmart cart pusher a $5 every visit for a few years and he's never gotten in trouble. Same with all of my friends. Stop looking for an excuse to not tip, faggot.
some check the cameras some dont i guess not sure what you want me to say lol
I did it when I was 16. The worst job I’ve ever had. You push carts because the employer thinks you’re a retard. Just know that
