What does your flag represent? What does it mean? Is it based on any other flag?
>Norway
Our flag has the classic tricolor red/white/blue combo, first used by the Netherlands.
The shape is the nordic cross, specifically based on the danish flag (Dannebrog) but with a blue cross in the middle and a different shade of red.
Additionally, it is said that the exact shade of red in the Norwegian flag represents the blood spilled by Olav Haraldsson in the battle of Stiklestad 1030 AD, when Norway was christianized.
What about yours?

The bars on either side used to be blue and represent how Canada touches both oceans.
The leaf is there because the guy who designed the flag liked maple leaves. I think each point on the leaf represents a virtue as well or something.
tldr: gib red ensign back.

It represents the Baltic German blue-white flag who created our nationality.

The Star of David is a symbol of Judaism with many mystical meanings. The white represents the peace that we strive for, while the blue represents the sky that we reach to.

Our flag is a relatively modern invention, it was standardised during IIRP. We used both red-white and white-red, which Indomalayniggers and Monagesque worthlessy ripped off from us.

not sure, we just know it fell from the sky

think it is just norwegian/iceland rearranged.

from wiki
>White symbolises the creators of the flag, the foam of the sea and the pure, radiant sky of the Faroe Islands, while the old Faroese blue and red colours are reminiscent of other Scandinavian and Nordic flags; representing the Faroe Islands' bonds with other Nordic countries.

Used to be the battle flag of the Holy Roman Empire, representing Christendom and the blood of martyrs. in 1415 the Emperor Sigismund gave the banner to the Swiss in their fight against the at the time outlawed Habsburg.
When the Habsburg became Kings of the HRE they switched to the black Eagle on golden ground banner and the Swiss ever since kept the battle sign of the old Reich as theirs.

Blue and red are the colors of Paris, white is the color of monarchy. Actually it's a lot more complex since blue/white/red were used by kings of France since centuries (who suggested Netherland to adopt it), but it's the quick explanation It's not clear why the stripes are vertical, maybe to be distinct from the Netherland flag

red is the spilled blood of nation
blue is will to live peacefully under the sky
orange/yellow is the hard-working nature of people

In reality: Colombians are crypto-Armenians

Wait, did you legit use a rainbow flag? I thought only Incans did this.

I don't know and i don't care

Wasn't red used by Carolingians, and blue by the mediaeval monarchy?

a lie, as our only true flag is pic related

The legend is that Erik the Holy saw the golden cross in the sky as a sign from God during his crusade. More likely though, it's just the colors of the House of Folkung used to form a cross. The Folkungs were a very influential Swedish house who produced most of the jarls in Sweden in the centuries that followed the viking age and eventually rose to rule as kings. The line also produced three kings of Norway and one king of Denmark.

thank God no, it was designed by our most famous painter and had a potential of being officially standardized but than commies saved us from becoming a meme in the 21st century

Well this is kinda awkward

Not sure, but these colors don't have heraldic symbolism, they're related to catholicism. Blue being for the virgin Mary, things like that.

white and red are the pan slavic colors. the green is just a replacement for the russian blue
