Almost 2 million of them moved here so I know my shit. Even though the vast majority of them go unnoticed until they open their mouths and start talking in their weird accent, you have the occasional group of outcasts who mug people at knife point or rob grocery shops and restaurants. It's just a matter of turning on the news and realizing that lately about 1/3 of all the news are related to venezuelans wrecking shit in some way or another, it gets tiresome. Some of my friends are venezuelan (middle class) and they are embarrased by the some of the things that immigrants do like literally invading parks or selling candies in public transportation

Should I fly to Caracas for Christmas? Hotel prices are surprisingly cheap in dollar terms, and there are apparently a bunch of Christmas parties and events around that time. I have a couple weeks off. I could visit Caracas for a few days then go to Isla de Margarita before flying back. The airfare doesn't seem that expensive, either (around $500 from my area).
