I was a pack a day. Quit by realizing I’m killing myself and I’m dependent on death sticks. Cold turkey.

Are you addicted to starting this thread you just posted couple days ago. Neck urself
nope i use cigs to control my weight
use to be over 500 now down to 350 from smoking 2 packs a day
I vape. Only smoke when drinking with friends.
step 1: switch to organic tobacco
Quitting smoking is easy.... I've quit over a hundred times.
Get bronchitis.
You won't smoke for 2 weeks, and by then the addiction will be gone.
>see thread
>realize I saw it a couple days ago

Drastically cut down since the beginning of the year. I think I smoked 15 packs total this year.
I smoked 40 niggy ciggys (newports) a day. I switched to vaping no problemo. Currently vaping my Smok mod with some churro juice essay
if anyone actually wonders
It's really easy. Every time you want to buy a pack of cigs, buy ChainLink instead. Repeat until broke. Congrats user, you did it.
4 days after your last cigarette, the nicotine is almost 100% out of your brain. You are chemically free.
2 weeks after your last cigarette, your psychological dependency will drastically decline, and most cravings will stop. you are psychologically free.
From there, it's only habitual cravings that last. How long this lasts changes from person to person. These are triggered by events, like routine smoking after eating, smoking after sex, smoking after a shower. etc. They are also the easiest cravings to ignore.
After the habitual cravings stop, then you are truly free. Your only enemy now is fond memories. One day (years later perhaps) a buddy at a party offers you a cigarette. You think why not? They felt good, why did I ever quit them? You'll need to remind yourself for the remainder of your life that smoking is painful and disgusting. Avoid that gateway back in, and you will be smoke free forever.

Hi OP. Little over 2 months into my quit here. Smoker for probably... 18ish years. It can be done. Definitely takes that moment for you to decide you want to quit.
Read that quit smoking book everyone raves about.
r/quitsmoking is a nice supportive community.
Having an app keep track of my progress has helped me.
Find your asshole chad friend who vapes and tell him to rigg you up with then finest vape shit money can buy.
It sucks during the switch. When ever you want a smoke, remind yourself to vape. Can't do both at the same time, it won't work.
Vape until you feel sick from the nicotine at first, last thing you'll want is a cig.
Eventually you'll chill out on the vape and now you'll be addicted to that.
Going back to a cig after getting used to vaping, will feel gross.
I've been vaping for about 6 months, no cigs.
Went on vacation, first day vape broke. Smoked for a month until I could get another vape. Took day or two to switch back over to the vape. No more cigs again. Easy breezy.
I used patches, my job is so fucking busy that i don't have time for a cigarette anyway and using the patches helps you forget about it while gradually cutting down on the strength of nicotine
this was posted last week. cig psyop.

I quit after 10 years and like 5 tries op, you have to want to do it first of all
i used the gum and it worked pretty good.
vaping didn't work for me because it doesn't break the feeling of smoking something and it keeps that habit alive which you don't want imo.
in 15 hours it will say 2 months 1 week 1 day 0 hours you brainlet.
Jesus. You went from morbidly obese to morbidly obese with cancer...stop smoking and go for a walk.
Eat vegan, you will lose all that shit weight
stopped cig user. copenhagon long cut did miracles to me. patches and vepe doesnt really helped me. patches i had side effect like over heat and severe headache so i stopped. vepe is same as smoke, so that feeling never die. smokeless tobacco reduce urge to nicotine..and slowly i got rid of cig.
This is precisely what happened to me. I barely even experienced withdrawal symptoms. It felt bloody miraculous.
This
Easiest way to quit
+1 for getting a vape
