It has already succeeded on many fronts. It has its own working blockchain which puts it ahead of every ERC20 token. Very fast and free transactions (with privacy to come shortly). A nice desktop wallet with mobile and hardware wallets in production. Over 5000 nodes already deployed on Skywire, making it one of the most decentraized projects in crypto. And several projects have already launched on the Skyfibre platform (similar to ICOs on ETH) with 30+ more in the pipeline.

When people say they're unsure whether SKY will be successful they're usually referring to the decentralized Internet part, but that's just one small part of the SKY ecosystem, and yes it's going to take many years for that part to be built out, but many other components of the ecosystem are already working in the meantime.

Go look it up, this was an early render, but I’ve been active in the community for a while. They have github repositories that are the core programming of the LITbox. They have designs for the physical thing, but haven’t officially made one yet because it’s still under development.

That being said I don’t doubt there are prototypes they’ve made to test the functionality.

Also, you do realize that you can go and download the github repository and literally make your own makeshift box that works right now.
