Is this really a 1000x?

It's a short term 10x, without a doubt. We've been saying this for such a fucking long time now.

It has no landmarks, no reasons to dump (except after a pump) and has been a finished product ever since its creation. Most other coins just dump after they are finished.

It's a fucking simulated re-run of bitcoin, and people are loving it so far. Volume increasing, awareness increasing, spikey pump after spikey pump.

This. It’s nice not waiting on a roadmap or deadlines, or a community manager to let everyone know what is happening, or having bagholders beg the team for more partnerships or better marketing etc. It just is what it is, and anyone is free to build around it.

So they implemented a mining game in a smart contract...?
How does mining accomplish anything? Does mining contribute to validating token transactions (which is the reason mining exists in the first place)? Does mining somehow contribute to the overall ETH mining effort?
How is this anything other than an ERC20 ICO with a pointless guess-the-number game attached?

It's a perfect simulation and re-run of bitcoin, which is why it is appreciating like bitcoin did, but accelerated.

The game is, in fact, bitcoin price appreciation - you can play and get rich or I guess just watch us get rich instead.

The mining provides fair distribution but unlike bitcoin it's ledger is not needed to be mined for it to survive.

But the proof-of-work does not contribute to the robustness of the ETH network because it's sandboxed in a smart contract. Seems pointless to me...
Yeah the price might go up as with any coin with hype, but I don't see how the tech is anything but regressive.

Far from it my it my friend.
Eventually bitcoins ledger won't be able to pay for itself as mining will become to expensive.
There for Bitcoin will stop existing.
Guess what will be there when that day happens as the better store of value.
there are more things to this coin but this is a solution to many ongoing problem that BTC faces.
