The American troops stationed in Germany don't serve Germany's national defense. This is a laughable suggestion. Germany is entirely surrounded by friends and allies, it is not militarily threatened by anybody. The Cold War is over, Tom Clancy. The reason why there are still American troops stationed in Germany is because their bases and their infrastructure are used as transport, supply, medical and surveillance hubs for America's middle eastern adventures
