living in America and celebrating American ‘holidays’ is some of the most shittiest, most artificial times of my life every single year. Every ‘holiday’ has zero historical background or significance and is artificially propagated through the heaps of advertising dumped on us through media owned by the same giants. Thanksgiving is a corporate mess. Christmas is an absolute joke. Both holidays took the most outlandish historical landmarks (An agreements between pilgrims and indians to attack another tribe and a pagan celebration) and turned them into corporate parades of consumerism. Everything else is stolen from Mexico or Anglos.

absolute cringe. American support of imperialism is common with these folks, and it blows my mind how any of them can support muh troops stomping through the streets of Iraq, afghanistan, and really the entire world. We fucking wrecked south america and mexico and the middle east and africa so incredibly bad. Asia as well.
black people in america have suffered major historical oppression and are now proportionally more in poverty and subsequent obesity than ever before. Same with the latin communities. I seriously can’t even imagine as a CHI being born in el salvador or some of these war torn areas and immigrating during their lifetime. My family were okay. Zacatecas is decent. But seriously, I feel for all of those people who have immigrated or will never have the chance to. I feel for all those thirdies man. America truly is a poison and the fact I was born here is an embarrassment only death will rid me of.
