Previous edition Welcome to /extraflags/, a lovely spin-off of /flag/ except its a general for users with extra flags to discuss flags, extra flags, and autistic activities while funposting. don't have extra flags? get extra flags :^)
>What are extra flags? Extra Flags is an open-source and non-malicious plugin that adds regional flags, like states and provinces, to the already existing national flags on Jow Forums, Jow Forums, /sp/, and Jow Forums, by storing users' post number along with the selected regional flags, and retrieving it from a database when a thread is loaded. You can add your region's flag by requesting it on the GitHub page.
Well then you're at least a normie or chadlite. I don't think anyone here could put themselves in my shoes and not go just as insane. Sex should be a fundamental human right and distributed accordingly.
You're right but I still don't want my final thought to be "I did not try". There are indeed forces bigger than us, both human and natural but I still believe that trying to fight to make the world better is worth it, even if in the end it won't be enough.
You can only use flags from your own country that you're in. Using French flags will result in blanks; only flags you can use are Canadian as long as you're on a Canadian IP.
Joseph Martin
No it's not; that's a French flag. We don't want your kind here Rhubarb. Take pakiland with you
Sebastian Morales
I got bad news
Zachary Ross
No, but I just realized I dun goofd I wanted to have a french flag instead, but seems like this plugin can't do it Indeed, I realized it a second too late In the meantime, let's use this one sad
>Quebec Gotta have the same geolocated country flag to get the regional, otherwise it shows up blank.
Zachary Peterson
no, otherwise people would crash the market by posting rare regional flags. This ensures that certain flags remain rare, unless you have a proxy then that's a whole different story.
Joshua Cook
Makes sense Guess I'll have to be back home to use my real flag
Ethan Turner
>I wanted to have a french flag instead But Quebec is based and redpilled, no?
Jace Ramirez
Quebec est basé et rouge-pilled
Mason Turner
oh you're on vacation/studying abroad? Also, we have third and fourth level flags for cities and counties... those are the rare ones and we wouldn't mind seeing yours :)
What are your favorite animes? >If you actually like the Japanese West Subverting MK Ultra Degenerate Creation shows
Blake Martinez
I've been to english speaking canada, for a couple of days. Shit was pretty chill teebh.
Burgundy rather. The two regions have merged a few years ago. But it's a really old flag, from the middle ages, so I don't think it will show up all that well.
The people here is... I don't know how to put into words, but you can feel they don't like you. The food is also trash, and the weather is shit all the time. It's like america, but without the benefits, just the downsides and a retarded accent
Henry Smith
>watching anime >watching anime unironically >watching anime as a nigger JFL
and by that, I assume you mean "Japanese: Last Bastion of non-SJW Agenda Kino? Quebec needs to pay denbts. I would only go there to smuggle out some maple syrup. Stuff is crazy expensive out here
Jason Ross
>but you can feel they don't like you Quintessentially French. But jokes aside, you get this treatment even as a French dude? From what little I know, the Quebecois like the French, at least more so than their neighbors.
Grayson Hernandez
I've seen that flag before; totally badass with the four quadrants and the coats of arms. Total shame France redid its regions lately with gay new flags that are America tier. >The food is also trash, and the weather is shit all the time. It's like america, but without the benefits, just the downsides and a retarded accent Canada has really gone to shit over the last decade. It's not even that funny anymore; we're eventually gonna have to build a second wall because the Canadians are importing refugees by the millions into cities which are extremely close to the American border.
James Foster
On a cloudless day I can see the continent. Maybe it's infecting me.
Luis White
the refugees are the least of your problems. the yellow slant eyed menace is the real endgame you must prepare yourself for.
It's very rare that I see an asian man with a white woman. I don't give a fuck about the US, or what happens to the West. I simply want a white blonde blue eyed gf and dark swarthy refugees get in the way of that
Parker Peterson
Just don't look at it. Good idea. That's what I did when my granny died. It started to smell quite bad eventually, though.
Lucas Gomez
Everything is expensive here. Especially the food: if it's not some processed garbage, you have to pay mad bucks to get it. Also, fuck the 20 extra cents you have to pay for every canned drink you buy. I guess it's not as bad as with english-speaking canadians, but it's still there for sure. Funny how they like to pretend that they're open and inclusive when, in reality, they just hate foreigners as much as anyone else. They also seem to have this sort of complex with the french. They like to think they somehow are the "better france", almost, being the keepers of true french and all. Thankfully, our flag survived. And it's not that big a deal as far as I'm concerned: Burgundy and Franche-Comté have always been close neighbors, so it was only a logical choice, and not that many people got upset over it. If you saw how people from Alsace reacted to the whole merger however... And as far as refugees are concerned, don' worry about it: they like to think they have lots of refugees and all, being all inclusive and shit, but they only have a minuscule number of brownskins coming over, in reality. The chinks, however, they're the real deal, breeding like crazy in their own little parts of town.
Daniel Lewis
Yes
Stop LARPing Moe nigger
Bentley Williams
It's been years since I watched any anime. moeshit and boring slice of life stuff can only stay fresh for so long.
Nathan Clark
>Also, fuck the 20 extra cents you have to pay for every canned drink you buy. Are you in Montreal? That sounds like the tax they have in nearby Berkeley. That town is insane; most left-wing city in the entire US and it shows. Was stuck there for a debate tournament at night and the shit i saw (and smelled) as I had to walk those streets blackpilled me hard. >The chinks, however, they're the real deal, breeding like crazy in their own little parts of town. At least Asian men are low T and of very low value to females. Same goes for the Indian men. Just let them work themselves to death; Asians also commit very little crime and violence.
Adrian Turner
>they just hate foreigners as much as anyone else Do they? Or is the hate reserved for the Angloshpere and all refugees are welcome? >They also seem to have this sort of complex with the french. Isn't that every colony ever? But I guess it can get on your nerves after a while
Camden Rodriguez
Yes, I'm in Montreal, and I am downright scared to go out at night. The shit I see here every day is absolutely disgusting
Ryan Baker
Spiral dynamics holds that at all times, humanity exhibits 1 of 2 traits: The first, being that there is an overarching mindset governing the ideals and actions of forefront populations and civilizations, OR The second, being that humanity is in a transitional period from one overarching mindset to another.
These two traits are mutually exclusive and cannot occur at the same time, although each is necessary to occur in order for the other, since one leads to another. If you're familiar with programming concepts, think of it as a linked list. However, unlike a linked list, and more alike a clock - it cannot go backwards. That is, you cannot revert to a previous overarching mindset, as that would be forcing an unnatural progression which would ultimately be at odds with nature and fail as a result of that.
Now this, mindset plays a number of roles as it dictates the relation between the self vs. society, the organization of culture and society, as well as the structure and role of our government, and a multitude of other areas of life. There's too much to the theory to break it down in a single Jow Forums post, and there is a ton of reading which can be done on it.
Spiral dynamics associates a color with each stage of human thought - appropriately referred to as memes - and students of the theory focus on determining what the next stage of human progression will lead to. Capitalism's time has passed, as has socialism's. The future will be dictated by a new meme, and the ongoing ideological battle during this transitory phase we find ourselves in will determine what the overall mindset in humanity will be.
We may not like the position we find ourselves in, but we have an important influence and we shouldn't waste it. Rather than feeling blackpilled that that once was will never be again, take up arms and fight for what your descendants will inherit. Faye does a great job discussing this in Archeofuturism, and while he doesn't relate it to SD, it can be.
>Some 26% of the population of Montreal and 16.5% that of Greater Montreal, are members of a visible minority (non-white) group,[120] up from 5.2% in 1981. The rate that Canada has gone from 95% white to 50% white only makes me laugh. Just wait until all the old boomers die, it'll be 20% white at best and the remaining women will get conquered.
At least America had a lot of people to begin with so it will fall slow enough for me to enjoy another decade or so of my life before i blow my brains out. I ain't dealing with this bullshit haha
Caleb Rodriguez
No they hate everyone. But they like to paint this facade of kindness, because of the stereotype of the "nice canadian". But talk to a Canadian behind closed doors for more than 5 minutes, and you'll see just how equally "bigoted" they really are.
And the thing with the french is not that they used to be a colony: rather, they feel left out by France. They feel like France sold them to the brits when she sold all it's new World colonies. And since they also had very little contact with mainland Europe, they like to think that they are the last bastion of the "true french", the french from the 16th and 17th century. Nevermind the fact that standardized Franch didn't exist at the time, or that their dialect is full of english vocabulary.
I honestly can't begin to imagine how an actual canadian from this place might feel seeing this. All I know is that I'll be more than happy to be back home, where blacks and arabs get the shotgun first.
Jacob Miller
>Capitalism's time has passed, as has socialism's That's where you're wrong boyo. Socialism is gonna come back, and it will be glorious. Fascism is a meme, and capitalism is only popular with boomers; hopefully the new meme will be Stalinist or Maoist Communism. i'm genuinely worried that the Trotskyites will take power, which means that we will become Sodom and Gomorrah rather quickly. >Rather than feeling blackpilled that that once was will never be again, take up arms and fight for what your descendants will inherit. Yeah, all 0 of them. But hey, you can fight for the future of your soulless hapa spawn before they go to uni and become socialists anyway
Luis Garcia
Seems like french citizens are the ones getting the handgun unfortunately
>I honestly can't begin to imagine how an actual canadian from this place might feel seeing this. They deserved it to be honest. See this is the problem with you French; you act so tolerant politically, but you never have the balls to actually stand up for your country. I mean, France is more worse off than Sweden for fuck's sake! At least I can go outside Malmo, Stockholm and Gothenburg and still be in a white wonderland. Anytime you see a picture of France, it's just blacks and arabs
I mean, pic related. Your women are sluts, they all flock to BBC like flies to dog shit, and when WW2 passed you let all your colonial soldiers stay in the country. Fuck, you guys got the diversity pill in the 1950's. You guys are like the hipsters of diversity
It seems interesting, I will get into it since I like this stuff. Also I have kinda figured out the >Rather than feeling blackpilled that that once was will never be again, take up arms and fight for what your descendants will inherit. Because I do believe in what I said here
Ryan Lee
This. Blacks and arabs aren't gonna get shit. Hell, France is getting even more of them now that Italy got its shit together and a bunch of them are leaving. The country had a chance to elect a legitimate nationalist last time around and the centrist won by like 30 fucking points. It single handedly killed all the momentum that nationalists had in Europe (along with the British UKIP getting curbstomped, even more reason why the British and French are alike) If there is such thing as a benevolent higher power, then why did he let the Ottomans take Constantinople? I mean, if there is a higher power, his name is Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.
Kevin Wright
Living it firsthand, I can tell you that it's not as simple as some media tells it: the refugees plague only hits a portion of the country. The larger the city, the more heavily impacted it is. But, true story, the first time I ever saw a person of color with my own eyes was when I was 12, in a trip to morocco. The first time I saw someone that wasn't white in France was when I was 18 and I moved out to Lyon for my studies. Smaller cities and villages are almost exclusively white. Like anywhere else, really.
And I've been to Sweden too, for a fairly long time in fact. It's nowhere near as bad in France: our government doesn't actively shove down our throat the diversity pill, and I've never seen a LGBT flag being flown on a public building. Of all the places in western europe, France is, in fact, one of the most xenophobic and closed to foreigners. We've even refused to apply the EU refugees quotas. We're the only ones in western Europe to have done it
Anthony Davis
There are a number of traits which can be noticed from spiral dynamics, and the first and most obvious is that the age of each overarching mindset has gotten shorter and shorter as we creep towards the modern era. Authoritarian theocracy mindsets lasted for a very long time, much longer than capitalist commerce-focused mindset.
There are two popular hypotheses relating to the future of overarching mindsets in spiral dynamics. The first is that overarching mindsets will continue to shrink in lifetime until society implodes, with an ultimate reset occurring (similar to involution). The second is that similar to a wave function, the overarching mindsets of the future will begin to each last longer than the one preceding it, and eventually this wave cycle will begin to have shorter wavelengths as we're experiencing now. The second is the hypothesis I subscribe to personally, but it's all up to opinion at that point.
You are being very short-sighted, and all I can recommend is further reading on the subject. The principle problem with socialism is that it fails to reconcile a successful relation between AI and automation alongside a tentative focus on the worker. Despite my luddite-tendencies, to deny the future of technology and its capabilities would be irrational. The answer is not fully automated gay space communism as redditors may tell you, any mindset based on pure pleasure and luxury of the self will inherently collapse. We humans are sentient and it is of the utmost importance that we retain that status by continuing to work, learn, explore, and conquer. Personally I believe in forming a breakaway civilization and reconciling the differences between hyperconnected technocratic society and traditional quiet life via nodes and regions coexisting.
I understand. If you like metal, there's a very good concept album based around the subject called "Integral" by Forevermore. It is a bit on the heavier side though I'll admit.
I know you're right lad, I mean look which county I live in, everywhere outside of london, birmingham and maybe sheffield is completely white. Our problem is that because it's London and it's the capital (probably of europe) it gives the effect to everyone, especially yanks, that it has gotten this bad everywhere. As you say, Sweden is probably the worst right now but we're not far off, we'll see what chaos brings in the coming months as we near the brexit date, maybe (hopefully) we go no deal.
I don't want to be pessimistic, but judging by the way it's going, it looks like the UK will stay in the EU, and get the short stick even. At least, before this whole thing started, the UK got some benefits out of the EU, so it wasn't so bad. But now...it looks more and more like the UK will only keep the downsides of being in the EU zone, without the associated benefits for 99% of the population. The richer of your country don't want to see a free UK. They'd much rather play this dangerous and destructive game of living at credit off of Germany till the whole thing blows up.
Ayden Gomez
>our government doesn't actively shove down our throat the diversity pill That's bullshit and you know it. Even my country, considered to be the most conservative western country, has a media which constantly promotes the ideals of diversity and multiculturalism. You either can't comprehend subliminal messaging, or you don't watch the news, and honestly if you answer "yes" to either of these then I envy you. >I've never seen a LGBT flag being flown on a public building Come here then; you'll see them everywhere. SF is the LGBTQ capital of the world. You won't find the flags in cities with high Arab populations either because they're intolerant. >We've even refused to apply the EU refugees quotas. We're the only ones in western Europe to have done it >western europe Well no shit, when your competition is the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, then no shit you're gonna be the only country which tries to game the system.
Matthew Cruz
I understand where you're coming from, it's what you get for putting someone who was a staunch remainer in charge of brexit negotiations. I'll still remain hopeful that we don't agree this deal at all, because it's not gonna be accepted in parliament and may won't bring anything more back.
By natural I mean things like decay and rebirth. >why did he let the Ottomans take Constantinople? Probably because of decadence, or the Byzantines getting farther away from His will and this is a test of faith. But in the end of the day, άγνωσται αί βουλαί Του >until society implodes, with an ultimate reset occurring What will probably happen is that a small part of society will figure out something and they will go forward, meanwhile most other people will vanish, because of involution and the subsequent failure to compete. Think about it like when species evolve, only a small part of the original species will have the mutations which will end up giving birth to the new species. And depending on the conditions, the new species sooner or later will outcompete the parent species because it will be better adapted to the new conditions.
Now that I think about it, this is the second hypothesis so yeah I guess I'm sold on the 2nd one too
Ayden Parker
Believe me when I say that the vast majority of the people here do not buy this multiculturalism bullshit. Even my family, which is upper middle class (the type you'd expect to be in favor of this) finds this idea ridiculous. Not that long ago, there also was a huge scandal with universities applying quotas. Also, the medias, if anything, promote extreme liberalism. They don't talk about race, race relations or anything of the type, as they know it's a very sensitive subject, and no one wants to hear about it. And almost every depiction of minorities are negative, through violence, terrorism, and crime. Never, in 20 years of watching the news, have I seen anything resembling pro-diversity propaganda.
And don't get me started about the gays...Your average frenchman is very uncomfortable with homosexuality. To convince yourself, you just have to see the reaction to the projects of "gay marriage" that happened not so long ago. The culture is still catholic, after all.
Michael Morales
>And depending on the conditions, the new species sooner or later will outcompete the parent species because it will be better adapted to the new conditions That's what I wanted to get into by coexisting with hyperconnected technical societies living alongside rural regions, but ran out of space. We've all seen the picture of Trump's futuristic wall with the monorail running along it's top, and the small comfy town on the ground outside of it. I believe in a mutual relationship to solve the divide between urban vs. rural, and personally I think that by organizing societies (blocs) into different sectors, each with a few key nodes, we can accomplish that. The nodes will be large cities and their surroundings, and in between nodes will be rural living who are left relatively alone. In order for this shift to occur, the economy needs to be re-aligned to be more organic in nature, with each sector of society focusing on its strengths and the nodes being the most productive. I don't think we'll advance to the next stage of human civilization without this shift (or one similar to it) occurring.
I also believe (and this may prove controversial) that the future of global politics lies in blocs and not individual nation-states. I believe that Europe, in order for it to survive, must form a federation of a sort to defend Europeans' right to exist. Whether this stretches from Brest to Belarus or from Brest to Bering is up in the air. I believe that individual nation-states will have minimal global influence and that the sooner Europe manages to produce an identitarian equivalent to NATO, the less control over its destiny it will have. This is part of the reason I liked Trump, because he seemed like a threat to NATO's stability and the hold it contains over Europe.
Don't get me wrong, I despise the EU with a passion, because I believe at its heart it is designed with the sole intention of making and managing money. Whether or not it's the vehicle, I'm not sure.
Owen Reyes
>The principle problem with socialism is that it fails to reconcile a successful relation between AI and automation alongside a tentative focus on the worker. That's because socialism is pro-labor and pro-worker. Automation is the greatest threat to labor (and organized labor) that we've seen since the original robber barons came to power in the Gilded Age. In reality, automation is just the latest tactic used by the bourgeois to reap larger profits at the expense of the worker. It goes hand in hand with mass migration; there is no jewish conspiracy, nor a new world order, but rather the same old shit when it comes to the plutocrats trying to enact complete control over the world. Fascism still exists, but it exists as corporate fascism, and it must be fought. > The answer is not fully automated gay space communism as redditors may tell you, any mindset based on pure pleasure and luxury of the self will inherently collapse. The FAGSc meme is simply a meme. Personally, I believe we should pick up where the USSR left off in terms of space exploration and rapid industrialization. We can find jobs for the worker anywhere, but we refuse to open up new jobs because that would mean the bourgeois would have to cut their profit margins. You see, Ted Kaczynski wrote something interesting about the power process being the only reason a human would feel pressure or the need to perform in life. It's the reason why when someone wins the lottery or makes a bunch of money, they tend to fall into stagnation and eventually collapse. It is why people pursue hobbies; it satisfies the power process, and some people decide to, like Kaczynski, engage in survivalism as a hobby to fulfill it.
My point is that communism fulfills the power process while capitalism is gluttonous and leads to stagnation and decadency. Instead of the individual power process, the USSR (and communism in general) pursues a collectivized fulfillment of the power process.
I'm checking up the archives and seems like /flag/ was so better about 2 years ago. Wish would join it back then.
Joshua Howard
I mean, back then, collecting flags was in it's prime and we still had massive hope and enjoyment when we saw flags like Mayotte or Marshall Islands. Regionals were just becoming more popular and more developed, but it wasn't all great.
Jonathan Ward
Real talk. Why is it that everything was always better in the past?
Brayden Turner
Anyway, I don't collect the flags because I joined too late
Daniel Ramirez
It was what made part of /flag/ and /extraflags/ so enjoyable, hell, there are still many regionals and even a few "country" flags out there that haven't been posted. There's always a time to start lad, it's not too late.
>And don't get me started about the gays...Your average frenchman is very uncomfortable with homosexuality. To convince yourself, you just have to see the reaction to the projects of "gay marriage" that happened not so long ago. The culture is still catholic, after all. When I hear "uncomfortable", I immediately think of repression. See you're the exact opposite of me. I believe in very orderly, very collectivized industrial societies where everything is kept equal, from housing to interpersonal relationships. Marxism fulfills the foundation of this ideology, but even people within the communist big tent still believe in sexual capitalism, that being the concept of the sexual marketplace.
Tinder, social media, etc. all create a laissez-faire sexual marketplace with women acting the sole controllers, or for an analogy to Marx's class struggle, the bourgeoisie. Males are the proletariat, and are subject to the will of the female. If true communism is ever to be established, we cannot simply revolt in the workplace, but we have to revolt in how we view each other. Sex must be distributed, for it is capital, just not capital which is printed on paper or based on metals.
But in reality, sexual communism is only a building block of the overall revolution. What stinks is that interests infiltrated the left-wing, and now promote sexual freedom, consumerism, and other capitalist ideals. Men like Soros, Steyer, Bloomberg, et al claim to have left-wing sympathies but are inherently the system incarnate. They veil their desire for cheap labor through the belief in racial equality and freedom of movement, and for the most part, the left has bought it and is drinking the koolaid like Steve Austin drinks beer.
In the early 20th century, being a communist meant you supporter the rights of the worker and the eventual collectivization of capital. Today it means you support fisting each other, smoking weed, having lots of sex, and watching shitty TV shows
>I don't think we'll advance to the next stage of human civilization without this shift (or one similar to it) occurring. I think that this is probably one of the factors playing into the proposed Great Filter, and I do believe that it is in front of us, at least the one created by the civilizations themselves evolving rather than natural phenomena capable of big extinction events. (asteroid impacts, supernovas etc.) >the future of global politics lies in blocs Although I'm an idealist in this matter and I believe in the nation state, power dynamics seem to point to that direction. Hell, most western European countries are already smaller blocs. But it's something that I don't particularly like, maybe it's the hardest redpill to swallow
Matthew Mitchell
it wasn't. People only idealize the past because they tend to forget the hardships and romanticize the nostalgic qualities. Two years ago, regionals were still spotty and people were mostly collecting first levels still. Hell, I still am working on adding US town flags and shit to the repository. Regionals two years ago were poorly pixelated garbage for the most part
There are some great things about the past, but in order for humanity to progress, we must look towards the future. But then again, the future looks like total shit because people simply don't care about their rights, or enjoy being oppressed. People here will romanticize former /flag/ users like karalapak, OPLK, PK, and so forth, but in reality there are still many holdovers from that era, and we have more people joining the thread in active discussion than ever. Hell, six months ago we were lucky if /flag/ even had a general on a given day; now we have a general each day, people notice this, and install and join the overall community.
Mason Morgan
I agree with you. >ever a few "country" flags Seems like Western Sahara is the only one. Everything else was posted at some time Also why are there no more proxy posters in this general anymore like it was about 1 year ago?
Hunter Turner
It was much more amateur, and there was a lot of gay cartoon-posting. People still posted global maps and we hadn't become as much of a niche community yet. This is currently the best /flag/ has been in a long time, this summer was difficult. My laptop and studies are all that is necessary for me to produce an AI or automated service which, according to game theory, will outproduce or outdecide your workers in every scenario. If you bring your best and brightest workers, and many of them, then give me a few computers linked together and my AI will continue to best you and your workers - especially as the machine learns. Whether we want this future or not, it's coming, and it cannot be legislated. If you wish to handicap your civilization because you refused to work and get laid, then so be it, but don't expect me to consider your vision future-proof.
As for your second post, communism is not orderly because it an open rebellion against natural hierarchy. I am not defending the current state of women, and I never do - but blaming a walking vagina for your failure to launch is inherently you placing them on a pedestal, putting them above yourself. You believe that they reach down to select men worthy from the horde to touch them, and in this sense you are united with your eternal enemies the beta orbiters.
Checked. I'm a nationalist myself, and I feel similarly regarding it. I rooted for Brexit and despise the EU with a burning passion, but I don't see Europe leading the world so long as it is divided. I don't believe in a universal language or a unified country perse, but a federation to defend a intertwined cultures, and a shared history and continent will be able to compete with China. Individually I don't believe they'll be able to.
Sadly, the only vessel towards this future that we have also happens to be the most anti-European.
Michael Peterson
They're not repressed in the sense that it is not allowed. People just don't want to know the sexual preferences of others. Especially homosexuality, which is still considered as fringe, or deviant, for a good portion of the population.
Owen Gray
I did it for a while alongside a certain canadian in here, as well as the prolific guy PK, but I think the spark ran out for us after USMOI and Bouvet island were posted, so we all mostly gave up on it. In regards to western sahara, yes, it has never been posted, but South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands alongside French Southern Territories have not been seen since 2014 so are regarded by most as unposted or 0.01% flags.
I'm not opposed to the idea of a European Union. Hell, not even the idea of 'United States of Europe', frankly. I'm also bummed that my free movement is going. I've always planned to do a big Grand Tour of Europe one day, and now I'll only be able to stay in Europe for ninety days at a time.
But fucking hell, the EU in its current state is awful.
I think that post was from another proxy guy who has been dead for a while, but it had actually slipped my mind he posted it on /sp/, thanks for reminding me, I'll reclassify it in my head as "posted".
Grayson Cox
I am not advocating against AI; I believe that it is necessary as a means of advancing into the digital age, but there is more than enough room for the worker to be included in the future plans for society. If there isn't enough room on Earth, then efforts should be made to colonize the Moon, Mars, and so forth. Our greatest method of achieving the power process is space exploration. With infinite room to grow, we ensure that there will always be a job for the worker, whether it be as a programmer or computer engineer, a doctor, a farmer, etc.
Where I do draw the line is the concept of full automation. Any attempt to fully automate a profession should be met with revolution, under any circumstance. If automation consistently threatens the rights of the worker, then Trotsky's concept of permanent revolution must be applied. Mass automation of the manufacturing sector is perhaps the greatest challenge facing labor today, along with the downfall of labor unions. In fact, the absence of the labor union in any applicable profession will coincide with that of automation, wage stagnation, etc. > Whether we want this future or not, it's coming, and it cannot be legislated. I do not believe in a democratic process. This future may not be legislated, but it can be deflated by the point of a bayonet. If farmers are going to automate the harvesting of crops in California, then I would be more than happy to give every farmworker an AK-47 and tell them to march on Sacramento and set up shop in the capitol building until every machine is dismantled and every job it raped from the worker is returned.
Blake Diaz
In the long run, I think it's better for us anyway. Myself, I'm more opposed to it and absolutely opposed to a United States of Europe idea. And who knows, Travel to and from europe will probably be one of the more pressed issues so we'll have to wait and see.
Andrew Hill
Also, it's late, so I'll probably head to bed. Gn /flag/.
I have a question: what used to be on whatisthisimnotgoodwithcomputers.com?
Christopher Perez
>As for your second post, communism is not orderly because it an open rebellion against natural hierarchy There are many technological advancements which go against the concept of a natural hierarchy. Taking antibiotics to cure your pneumonia goes against the natural hierarchy; just a century ago that would have been a death sentence. You shooting an animal with a rifle during a hunt goes against it as well; that animal, especially if it's something like a bear, is above you on the food chain, yet your rifle makes you the apex predator of the environment. If we can go against nature in this way, I don't see why we cannot regulate sex. It's not like we CANNOT do it - we certainly can - but just as a worker may have been beaten into submission from striking in past generations by scabs, you and many other men are either afraid of challenging the female, or are complicit in the system as it stands.
If you are the latter, you are basically the modern-day sexual equivalent of a kulak, if you catch my drift.

I'll answer this then sleep, but it was essentially a counter that kept track of what flags had been posted on what boards and how common or rare they were, alongside what was essentially another "board" which a few users posted on mostly to test proxies.
