Depends on the region, here in the Northwest religion is pretty much dead already. In the south it's radical and present in every form of media and culture.

Is it really that bad? Switzerland actually is kind of the global hub for a lot of radical Catholic organizations (e.g. FSSPX and FSSP). There is also discussion in Switzerland about the church having too much power over schools etc. This is actually one of the reasons why I - a Catholic - want to move to Switzerland.
