68.2% of Europeans between 16 and 29 live with their parents

Capitalism. Just. Works.

Shout out for Italy where 88% of men live still with their Mammas, and Croatia where the number is an astounding 93%.

t. Hungary, 80%.

There is literally nothing wrong with complex and multigenerational households. Such arrangements prevent alienation and allow for cheaper accommodation.

free flat ideology man bad

This has been the case with all people until industrialization. The West has this idea of a nuclear family, but a REAL family is 4 generations old.
Yes it may he due to poverty, but the west needs family I think too.

why wouldnt a 16 yo live with his parents?

>go and pay that rent instead of keeping money in family

Yes, goyim, move out of your parents place and spend half of your salary on the rent

Since Nordic countries have the lowest amount of people living with their parents, I'm pretty sure this phenomenon isn't about paying a rent, it's more about young people not having a fucking job at all.

My sister makes at least $65k and she still lives at home lol

Even if you're employed living with your parents is usually a much better deal unless you hate them

So? What's wrong with it? Would you like to live in a shitty wageslave apartment instead? There is nothing wrong with living with your family, this was the norm until industrialization. You have a nicer place to live and additionally the older generations might prevent a bit of shitlibbery with their influence.

aren't people in Highschool anyways until 17/18? Who lives alone while in highschool, besides exchange students?

Over here you live with your parents until you can move next door etc. until you slowly take over the neighbourhood.

In Finland the gobernment gives you more gibs if you don't live with your parents. So people leave home to get extra free money.

>be communist
>family
>YEAH ABANDON EM

government in nordic countries (used) to give their young free apartments or subsidiezed heavily. not sure if still do but that is big part of the reason they can afford to and it built up a culture of it being the norm. theyre going to be in big trouble if those gibs dry up though because housing costs in nordic is insane

so its better than allowing the jews to economically exploit people when they move out

>16-29

That's retarded
Nearly 100% of 16-18 year olds live with their parents

WHY DON'T YOU ASK SOMEONE WHO LIVED IN A COMMUNIST COUNTRY HURRRR

wtf i love binland now

My mom just went to sleep. I'm shitposting on Jow Forums.

Anyways, in Croatia it's common, but you should know how it works really.
People build big houses with 2 or 3 stories. When you start living with your gf you start occupying one floor. Your brother would occupy another.
Or what is also common one kid would build another house next to parents' house or very close. Often parents help their child or even buy/build house for it when it grows up.
When I went to college richer colleagues had their parents buying them flats to live there during studies.
Family ties here are very strong, I visit most of my 20 first cousins, and my aunts and uncles come to visit us on Sundays occasionally.
We even have more words for family members then you have in English, every -in-law in English has real word for it in Croatian.

In USA your dad threatens to shoot you if you aren’t out at 18 if you don’t go to college

mccarthyism is a hell of a drug

Reminder that there isn't a word for family in most languages at all
"Family" comes from a collective of servants
the original word used to describe a group of people related to each other is kindred (this is where words like gene, gentes, king, lithuanian kunigas, norwegian kjönn, kin, albanian dhen)

*where words like ... come from
indo european root is ǵenh, to produce/give birth

No I'm 100% swiss. Its just that my family home is really big so all my family lives together. They're like 4 houses joined together. It was common in the '700-800 to built houses like this

chad multi wife

Young women with older men

back in the day they couldn't really work well-paying jobs so they were dependant on husbands
now they got no excuse

I hate how this statistic is seen as a sign of prosperity by economists and policymakers. It's better to stay home and save money for a down-payment on a house rather than spend half your income sharing a tiny flat with four other people.

Sounds comfy as fuck
Can't even visit grandma for christmas because she lives in the far north of the country and she's sickly and noided about the stress if we lived there for a few days

>Capitalism. Just. Works.
Ah yes, that old trick. Socialism/government interventionism causes a problem, so lefties blame it on capitalism and claim MORE socialism/government interventionism is the problem.

Here's the problem u lil' shit: few young people move out because housing is expensive. In a free and unrestricted market*, this high price would serve as an incentive for contractors to start building more houses to sell or rent, which would eventually drive prices down to an acceptable equilibrium. The problem is that for this you need a permit from the government, which the government is slow to hand out (in part due to bureaucracy, in part due to rubbing elbows with established housing barons who actively benefit from keeping housing scarce). The problem is "alleviated" by the government intervening through social housing projects (ie. the government more or less renting out houses far below their market value to people who qualify for them) but this doesn't solve the problem at all. The lucky few who qualify, get through the waiting list et cetera are of course overjoyed, but there are still more people looking for houses than there are actual houses. The problem is simply supply and demand: if demand exceeds supply and adding new supply is made difficult by government regulation, prices are through the roof. This is why Londoners pay up the ass for a flat the size of a postage stamp.

Before y'all start setting up strawmen, I'm not saying that there should be zero government regulation and everyone should be allowed to just build skyscrapers everywhere. Just that a lot of zoning laws and regulations are too Byzantine and heavily need reforming/liberalizing. Paris is really the only city that has an excuse due to the catacombs.

*There's also of course the fact that housing prices are dependent on bonds and that the housing market can indeed crash as it did in the 2000's but let's keep the story simple for now

Attached: 1521656358030.png (1457x1080, 813K)

Living in a multi-generational household sounds comfy but I just can't do it. I lov' me mum, but we just butt heads too often. My teens and early twenties were miserable because we had to share a roof. I just can't live with other people. If this were the middle ages, I'd probably be a monk or a hermit.

>Its just that my family home is really big so all my family lives together. They're like 4 houses joined together.

Shkodran, is that you?

This has nothing to do with capitalism and the OP knows it.

Been living on my own since 18. I don't really understand how these babbys can live at home for so long kek

>take crippling student loan or get daddy money
>"live on your own"
wowza
Here you just can't do that because the concept of a student loan is alien to us

It's coming soon. We now have a loan system here and actually had protests about student loans in The Hague not too long ago. This socialized schooling system is too expensive to keep up and you'll have to cut it sooner or later to get rid of your deficit.

Over here the system is that you take a loan from the government (used to be interest-free, think they now actually calculate some interest) and you can only get rid of it after 35 years (by then in 99/100 cases you'll have paid it off anyway). The irony? As America has shown, student loans actually make education MORE expensive. Sooner or later, we're ALL going to live the American Dream.

Two things are overlapping here :
1) Women are still raised to be able to take care of themselves and their household better than men are.
Through your 20's up to your thirties, if you visit a single guy's flat (or guys living together), chances are it'll look like some manchildren bro-type of colocation. Dirty dishes, junk food or basic shit liks pastas or rice, no care for decoration, it'll probably be messy and a bit dirty because guys generally don't care that much and don't see the point.
By contrast, girls the same age have much of that shit sorted out without even knowing it : they decorate, perfume their homes, they cook better and more things, they tend to their clothes better and usually do their dishes faster than guys. Women are dirtier when it comes to their bathrooms and they leave their clothes lying around fucking everywhere but at least they have the sense to use a vacuum cleaner every once in a while.
Feminists would denounce it and demand "mothers raise their boys too", which would unironically be a good thing for men. In the past we didn't need to learn that shit as we would've been married to a girl in our 20's and she would've taken care of the home from there on. But that era is over and has been for decades now, and men unable to live as decent people has them hanging around their parents' house leeching off their services because they can't be bothered.

2) Women only need to find a boyfriend who'll provide for them and as soon as it's done they can leave the house. Men cannot.
My younger sister of 2 years had left the home to live with her boyfriends (one after the other over the course of four years) as soon as she was 19. I didn't leave the house before I was 22 because before that, my mother simply didn't have the money to support my paying rent for a flat. My sister ? Not a worry in the world, it didn't cost my family a dime : she'd just move in with her then boyfriend who'd accept her at his place.

Attached: muhwhitefeels.jpg (848x1200, 205K)

I would gladly live with my parents if I had the choice but they live in a small town and I had to move for studies.
I hate seeing them only a handful times a year.

And there's nothing wrong with that

t. incel who has never visited a young woman's house

It's the sign of a loser, how can you even bring a woman home

>how can you even bring a woman home
I'd say "by not dating hypergamous whores" but all women are hypergamous whores.

Easy, I bring her home, make her say hi to my parents, then off we go on our own floor to make her scream as loud as possible through the night and make dad proud he raised a gud boi.

>no spain
Come on

Stop with these "state intervention or regulation = socialism" meme. Stop it now.
And the English house market has been completely fucked up by Thatcher and all her successors up to now. Prices are pushed up by
1) the fact that no more public housing has been built while the old stock has been sold off
2) also thanks to capital movements liberalisation, an incredible amount of dirty money coming from all over the world poured to London, where oligarchs and embezzlers from third world places keep buying homes for both speculation and having a UK address.
Capitalism is a mode of production like many others in the history of the world, not some silly normative idea out of some lolbertarian "what if the child consent, tho?" fairy tales book.

spoilt kids, there's one living in the same apartment bloc as me
she's 18 now or something, but she's lived there for over a year.
I assume her dad pays for it. absolutely awful person, only there on friday through sunday and only to drink themselves shitfaced and throw parties with other barely conscious teenoids

t. Cartel member

it's normal in Italy for people in their 20's to live at home if they study/work in the same city as the parents so this isn't considered shameful at all.
I moved out when I was 19 and even I can't understand what the fuck is so special about it, my parents still pay for my room as I am in uni.

to fuck? Usually I take them to a motel.

>And the English house market has been completely fucked up by Thatcher and all her successors up to now. Prices are pushed up by
>1) the fact that no more public housing has been built while the old stock has been sold off
Good post. It should be worth noting as well as private housing developers will never build as many houses as this country needs so that the increased scarcity of housing means that the value of new homes is higher.

how do you have sex?

Yes goy pay me $1,200 for a studio apartment located downtown

usually living by yourself means you're finally independent and no longer a leech on your family like you were for the rest of your life
>my parents still pay for my room
you might as well be living with them

This

what a cringe image. i’d kill to have those jobs back in the country, and nothing is wrong with manual labor. Why is it shameful and or needlessly tiring to sew clothing or pick coffee seeds?

is that supposed to be weird?
living with parents is normal, not living with them means you got kicked out of your house for being a junkie or a retard

>means you're finally independent
how? people in northern europe who usually brag in these threads still get money from they mummy and daddy
>a leech on your family
is this how you will consider your children? might as well inject your balls with acid right now dude
>you might as well be living with them
that's right but my home is about 800km from my uni.

>be a wagie
>live with your parents
>don't have to pay rent
>buy shiny thingy on that money instead or save them up for the future
>life is good

Attached: 1525392745644.jpg (696x608, 56K)

retard
men in those times live with their parents much more than theya do today so do yourself a favour and put your neck through a rope

>don't have to pay rent
you wish

my brother pays rent but i’m a student who doesn’t work so i stay for free.

>people in northern europe who usually brag in these threads still get money from they mummy and daddy
They're retards
>is this how you will consider your children
That's what all children are, I am not saying it's a bad thing, it's just what it is

how are they leeches?
you pay for their education and that's it, what the hell are you going to o with that money anyway, buy a marble statue for you and your wife to look at when you're 80 and alone and think ah yes, thank god I didn't have leeches around in my life.

besides, another thing about Italy is that most families here own a house that they probably inherited from their parents so there's no rent to pay for the house itself, it's more of a "leech" thing to get a room in a shitty student apartment.

how are they (you) not leeches? the only reason you're able to sustain yourself is because of your parents feeding you (money). no different than a kid eating food that his parents provide for him and wearing clothes that they buy for him. at least kids spend time with their parents in return, manchildren who only use them for money are even worse

your perspective is completely fucked my dude, congrats for falling for the lies of consumerism and thinking money is the only important thing in the world and consequently letting your whole value scale get shifted like that, putting family on a lower grade than raw cash. everything that gets between you and your wage being leeches and nothing more.
I literally can't think of a reply to your post because we clearly don't have much of a value scale in common.
I know I'm getting an education also so I can let my kids have the same opportunities of everybody else but yeah, I'm glad I don't think like that.

>how do you have sex?

It's simple. They don't. That's why in most of Europe the birth rate ranges from like 1.7 to 1.4.

...

people here have sex all the time, but they use contraception so they never get pregnant

you realise you can have sex without getting pregnant right
you virgin

>mfw live in NYC

it's the same here

I rather pay rent to my mom than a fucking boomer, I can fuck bitches in their friends' houses or in a motel anyways

No, only 20% of the men have sex, they are called Chads

The rest is masturbating

but user is right on this, for the most part

young women with the eternal boomer men
its quite common in poor societies, which the west is becoming.

Good explanation, reasonable system.

Meanwhile in Sweden: Cant afford my own apartment due to high rent at home + taxed to the limit so the state can subsidize public housing rentals for druggies and migrants.

Attached: 1529016872340.jpg (480x434, 23K)

but im the only person i know who never had sex

It's not that, it's just that people take A LOT of loans. Most people aren't really managing their debts at all and have just gotten lucky not to get hit by the whims of the market.

Less kids is what we need now, and to bomb india.

Good luck finding a plumber or any skilled, as in experienced, workers. (Qualifications for the construction sector are only ever useful when wiping your ass).

You literally can´t teach someone to lay bricks in less than 6-10 years, it grows with experience, it´s like painting or sculpting, you either have it or you don´t. I worked as a master craftsmans helper, mixing cement and knocking down walls, that dude who is 50 now could lay 350 bricks an hour with 0 flaws and perfect alignment.

it's impossible to bring a girl back home (to my parent's house) though. I could do it at 16, but at 28, there are two big problems. First, I feel awkward as hell introducing her to my parents if we're just gonna bang. Second, we won't bang; cause she'll think of an excuse, and leave immediately (this has happened before), as soon as she sees that my ""roommates"" are an old married couple in their late 50's who talk to me like I'm their son.

whats the point of moving out when you dont even have a wife? i understand if you have a wife it can be awkward, but otherwise its just life and wasting money in a new home at age 22 is just what the housing guys want you to do, not the norm
