That would increase the value of the network and in turn increase the value of your investment, instead of just hoping for the "$1000 greater fool" to show up.

Do you understand what circulating supply is? If 90% of LINK will be in nodes, then that leaves 10%, which is 100m. That would put the CIRCULATING mcap at $100b. Depending on how many smart contracts there are and how valuable they are, $1000 isn't impossible.
