> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Why should I invest in stocks, granpas?

Because you need to take stock of the situation.

Because crypto is going to disappear and you need a way to safely retire someday. Gambling on shitcoins is fine for now, but one day you actually need to get serious about your money.

based

Okay goys, I think I have the show ready tomorrow. I'm very scared. Live stream will start at 4pm eastern right as market closes.
Wish us luck

any thoughts on buying some Comcast for the long run? Seems kinda cheap now

Crypto is in a bear market. Some sectors in stock market are in bull mode right now. Or trade both. Crypto has nice volatility so i always have at least a little money involved whether the trend is up or down.

I don't work with others as far as stocks go. I'm a financial organizer but I don't touch securities as of yet. I just help people get their shit together/make retirement strategies/work with businesses/401k/Insurance, that type of shit. You never would think the guy whose job is being risk averse would love risk so much.

what percentage of cash do you guys with decent sized portfolios hold to take advantage of downturns or just for some de-risking or emergency funding?

I traded crypto and made $5k off of REQ but I gambled completely on it so I don't count it. I just started '''trading''' 2 weeks ago but I understand options and all that. I have close to no bills and pocket and invest around $1500 a month so I wouldn't kms if I lost like 20% off of it even.

Copy that user. Thanks for the advice. I gambled and won before here's hoping I get another win.

I just take it out of my VOO shares if its urgent, other than that I keep 2k margin on the ready.

almost nothing. once i get to 100k i think i'll hold 10k in cash at all times.
i hold my emergency fund in my bank account, esp since withdrawing can take over a week

I try to not touch my emergency cash account or living expenses account. I keep between 10-20k in each and even still I should have more in them.

You guys should have listened to me when I said it was going to skyrocket.

Still gonna be 90 EOY. You've been warned, ride the bull.

>$IQ

imo you are objectively risk neutral in your life

Thanks for clarifying, I've had that for a bit boyo. Bought in first time at $28.

Those deep dark demons that made me throw away 6 grand on HMNY are balancing my soul, I can finally understand.

Attached: Yung.jpg (960x678, 92K)

that's my general thinking. once you get a decent capital ball rolling, your contributions, unless also growing exponentially (and not many people's jobs pay that way) become less and less impactful for dollar cost averaging. 1k a month contribution on 20k is very different from 1k a month on 1mil. if the market crashes congrats, you have 500k and that 1k "buying the dip" ain't gonna average shit or help you recover faster. i think as my capital increases i'll increase my cash along with it,ie, let the investments compound and contribute less, to build up a reserve of cash that when deployed (buying low) will actually be useful against a large crash of such an investment, and not a squirt of piss in an ocean of red

How many shares? I saw a fellow IQ bro post that he made $1000 in a day last week. I bet he's clicking his heels after today

I only have 350 now, which sucks. I initially had 500 and sold at 35. FOMO'd back at 36.

...

ACST taking a quick trip to 5 bucks in a few weeks, at 80 cents or so rn. Up 23% today. Get in while it’s hot! I bought in at 65 cents. Waiting for the big earnings call/foreign trade announcement for some massive gains soon.

You seductive whore

Have you bought SNAP yet user?

Real talk, The only console company that has long term viability is Nintendo because of their retarded gimmicks. I like Sony games more but Nintendo isn't going anywhere and are very spartan about only showing games that are coming out that year on E3. They don't tease the same game for four years like everyone else. They have a slow year sure, but they will surge no later than next year. They dropped 20% this last month, the time to invest is now. You can't buy on robinhood, but those who trade elsewhere or can do OTC should take a look.

Filtered

that being said, do any of you think this thing will ever see sub $35 prices ever again? not happy with the amount i got at $30 and want to accumulate more

You don't think it was an overreaction? You think Nintendo dropped 20% in value over the course of a month?

Buy on the dip if they get picked by Fox. Buying company usually goes down in a merger

Wont the stock market probably have a bear market really soon? It's been too good for too long since the recession.

The six months of all 4th quarter midterm elections as well as the quarter that follow have an 85% chance to be a net gain. Not only a gain, these quarters together average a 14% rise. Those numbers are using the S&P 500 since its inception. The grandiose promises of politicians and an uncertain political climate do nothing but bolster the chances of an economic surge. In fact if you look at historic crashes you will see most of them start after the midterms near the end of the next quarter and end after 1-2 years. Nothing is certain and we could absolutely have a dip this summer; however, we will MOST LIKELY have a 6-month period coming this next Autumn of pure unadulterated gains. If we just continue like this until then it will be all but inevitable. My personal plan is to ride the shit out of this until the end of January/February 2019. If by some miracle February and march of 2019 do not crash, the bull will keep charging till 2020.

Even if it does go into a bear market historically it has always recovered and climbed higher than before and will continue to do so unless the economy completely collapses. In which case the last thing you will be thinking about will be investments. You'll be more scared of starving to death at that point.

Predictions on SPY tomorrow?

Thanks for your expertise. I'll keep that in mind as I begin to invest in the stock market. As for your opinion about Nintendo I think they still got a lot of upward movement as they release their first party IPs. The fact that Nintendo decided to do a hybrid console is pretty genius since now they can focus all their development efforts on it rather than splitting it between a home console and handheld as they've done for about two decades. The Switch is probably used mainly as a handheld and that's what they've always killed at.

uhhhh
Im gonna go with green day

Attached: 1527124216327.png (541x454, 148K)

Imagine if they announced that all Nintendo E-store games would be compatible on all future consoles? Or even implemented a simple achievement system for profiles like steam. I know they are slow to innovate, but it would be huge.

True. That's also a very good unintentional point though about a real U.S. collapse. We probably wont turn third world tier but the U.S. wont go on much longer as the sole super power and will eventually lose it as all other the other greats have. There will come a time when we hit a top and probably wont recover. Probably at least several decades down the road.

That is a short position

I'm gonna need a green day, good prediction.

Attached: 1510956568798.gif (360x360, 3.23M)

True. Doing some things that Microsoft and Sony have had for about 10 years like a unified online account for multiplayer and purchases would help A LOT. They're working on it from what I remember. If they do what you suggest and let your purchases carry over to other future systems that would be a huge winner. I have a lot of faith and they always seem to find niches though people like to shit on them. They will always be around and always have hits with some bombs thrown in. Switch tho is a money printer for them, huge hit similar to the Wii.

fellow IQ bro reporting in. my IQ gains for today. also I have 580 shares.

>putting that much cash into a chink meme stock

You’re clinically insane

I was thinking that myself. Aren't chink stocks known to flash crash due to unethical business practices?

nice try I am not giving you my shares.

So it's all agreed then. I'll get on the horn with SPY and tell it the decision is green.

thanks, I'm new to this.

because if you learn how a corporation works you can make consistent gains over the years like people have been doing for 100+ years.

all markets have their ups and downs.. you just gotta learn what market is going up and what is going down and what is going sideways.

Short the europoor markets. Their central bank is going to stop (hopefully) their equity buy back program, even with their slowing economies.

This

How do I option trade and get out of poor fag mode?

don't. get a job and save up some capital so you can start compounding returns. trying to "make it" with no capital and high risk is 99% a ticket to permapoor

But that sweet 1% tho!

How many shares of that dogpoo stock did you buy? I have 50. Maybe I should buy some more just in case that Farnsworth bum exits. That guy is like King Midas, except everything he touches turns to shit.

545. depends on how important the money is to you. now would be a good time to average down if you think something might happen by eoy

I make it a rule not to buy IPO pump and dumps.
I prefer to buy 9 months out when they've dropped 90%.
Not saying that'll happen to IQ, but it does happen often. I see HUYA as much more likely to crash.

Damn, I'm on vacation and can't call in. Good luck comfy.

How much AMD do I need to make it? I bought 40 shares at $9 and wish I had bought more.

Another great day to buy and hold $IQ. China is going to the moon, and it's vessel is $IQ.
I just started making money with $CMCSA again, and I've been holding since March. I think it'll continue to go up unless it fucks up it's Fox and Sky bids.
I'm selling when IQ is with more than NFLX and Disney.
It's never too late to join the IQ train.
Buy any dip for sure.

>rkg holds the gun

Attached: 1523162982688.jpg (454x530, 66K)

when and how to increase position in AMD

the market will stay around, bull markets are more likely in the future. Don't get caught up, just try to accumulate.

High risk feels good but is a bad play long-term.

Do people honestly believe that? This feels like its going to be a year of mania and huge gains followed by a sudden crash. There's no restraint or fundamentals.

Still like AMD though. When your company has been that shit for that long and its suddenly not shit, theres a lot of room to grow.

Gonna be big. At least 20% gains

The day is going to be green all across the board again thanks to the ECB. On the job side, I developed a new etching process yesterday, I'll have to make some documentation about it but I expect to leave early.

AKAO might be going through short squeeze soon.. they are expecting news on complicated urinary tract infections on the 25th.. could see a run up until then..

I'm still holding it.. i thought someone in here was supposed to be pumping it up. haven't watched it but i'm thinking it'll be good
