Did you know Spain is a Nation of Nations ?

Did you know Spain is a Nation of Nations ?
What are your thoughts on the historical nations of Spain ? Does your country have similar recognized "nations" within its frontiers ?

Pro tip: if you never had a proper state, you aren't a nation. Navarre has a more legit claim than any of those regions.

so does galicia

Galicia que sea parte de Portugal, Euskadi del Reino Unido y Cataluña que sea independiente

The only reason I want Spain to stay united is because the map has the shape of the head of a bullfighter

Germany actually was comprised of hundreds of sovereign little states, Kingdoms, Principalities, Dukedoms, even Republics and Tradings Federation up until the 19th century, you know, with their own currencies, flags, borders and anthems. Not some meme countries that have existed for 6 seconds.

no funcionan así las cosas cariño...
>Euskadi
>Reino Unido
lo dices por la bandera? seria estetico verlas juntas
la bandera antigua de canarias tambien es igualita que la de escocia
you have a lot of imagination

Basques should restore kingdom of Navarre and conquest rest of Iberia

>Not some meme countries that have existed for 6 seconds.
Kingdom of Navarre: 1162-1841 (plus the basques have their own language and their neanderthal race)
Kingdom of Galicia: 910-1833, the heirs of Asturias that singlehandedly created the kingdom of portugal and the language of Portuguese
Crown of Aragón: 1164-1707, conquered southern Italy, corsica and naples and fought in Greece.
Spain had proper kingdoms instead of meme tiny micronations all over the place sweetie

Yes
Basque Country and Catalonia are based

Basques are based and redpilled white people that get dragged down by the shitskins inhabiting the """country""" called Spain. Their skin is much paler than that of other Spaniards, they often have blonde hair and blue eyes, and their achievements are incredible for such a small nation.

What about Asturias and León, do they not also get to have their own meme separatism?

>and their neanderthal race
okay this is epic

Asturias doesn't have their own language and they were absorved by the kingdom of Leon just like Galicia
Culturally, Asturias is just Galicia B, the reason it resisted the moors was the huge mountains that acted as a natural barrier, unlike Galicia's soft mountains wich were much more easier to get through.
You could say that Asturias simply evolved into Léon, and later into Castille.

>Asturias doesn't have their own language
B-but

we used to be a bunch of petty kingdoms, but these smaller states were gradually absorbed into norway, which at first was just the western coast. nowadays, the samis are trying to more or less become more a country, they even got their own little parliament

according to my asturian friend nobody uses it, its more of a collection of slang words than an actual language
from what i saw its kinda like an old version of castillian, and therefore similar to galician

Attached: grupoetarras.jpg (550x454, 68K)

Asturias created Kingdom of Leon which unified with Kingdom of Castille to create Union of Castille to create Spain to create Habsburg Spain to create Iberian Union

long story short Iberia is one big Dragonball Z episode

Yes, I'm a Basque, how did you know?

sounds autistic

>from what i saw its kinda like an old version of castillian, and therefore similar to galician
DESU all old (350+ years old) writings I've read from Spain and Portugal looked like a mish mash of the same language being written however the fuck the person thought it should be written, based on documents I saw when studying Iberian history at uni.

Why do the Spanish always forget to indicate the Granada coat of arms when talking about their diversity?

is it because you're afraid of being called out a muzzie?

Why is there a C*Stillian enclave in Euskal Herria?

So what is this Skyrim irl

yeah i agree, i love comparative linguistics, and the further back you go, the more similar the languages were
there was huge changes to Castillian that changed it a lot from portuguese in the 15th century, it used to have "ç" and "~" just like portuguese
if you look even further back, spanish even has huge similarities with italian
>Pedro ha dos fijas
>Pedro ha due figlie
in modern portuguese and spanish it would be Pedro tiene/tem dos/duas hijas/filhas
spanish underwent lots of changes like starting to use a "hard" J that sounds like a strong H, and dropping the F for a mute H in lots of words (fermosa - hermosa, fazer - hacer)

Germany is one country. No matter who jealous you get because of your history of different states and (now non existent) regional differences in culture and language , you are now only one country.

How do you pull the ETA look?
They're different yet similar, it's weird.

>Did you know Spain is a Nation of Nations ?
actually, yes

i bet half of them were addicted to heroin or cocaine
theres no way the average basque looks like that

>Does your country have similar recognized "nations" within its frontiers ?
No. We don't even recognize Galicia as a nation. It's just more Portugal.

they look like a Picasso painting

*portugal is just more Galicia
god i wish we had portugal and asturias, they are basically extensions of Galicia
