What are they even protesting at this point?
Macron wants to turn France into a monarchy again.
Based and royalpilled
The EUs banking system is on the verge of collapse due to bad loans.
It's literally falling apart.
Not having retarded taxes, same as before?
RACE WAR
At first I was on Macaroni's side, but then I actually looked into it and the spike in fuel prices is insane. Gasoline prices will "rise" to roughly the same level as the Netherlands, but Diesel prices will go from roughly € 1,20/liter to a whooping € 1,80/liter or so. This in the country that (in Europe) has the highest tax burden save for the Scandinavians.
I still believe the government needs to be reformed, and I still believe the yellow vests are just a bunch of angry plebs looking for an excuse to riot, but Macron is doing the wrong thing. He's cutting taxes for the wealthiest (which is a GOOD thing), but he's seeking to "counterbalance" this by taxing the masses. Which generally fits in the Nordic model he seeks to emulate, but doesn't work when your people are already among the most heavily taxed in the world.
Rather than focusing on the income side of things, he should be focusing on expenditure. ie. lower spending, privatize, reform. Basically what he did to the railways, but on a much grander scale. As for a source of income, raising retirement age could be good as well. Retirement at fucking 60? At least bring it up to 65, bruh. Then you'd still be on the lower end of the European average.
tl;dr: Macron should slay the bureaucratic beast, not feed it.
and we have seen nothing yet, just wait until france defaults and becomes as bad as greece
It's more expensive in France than here
