Just superior training, gear and weapons. It was not exactly a fair fight. An example is our IFVs. They listened to Taliban radio chatter while fighting and Taliban freaked out because they had no way of taking them out in combat. They couldn't take them out with RPGs. The only thing that worked against them was IEDs, and that's not gonna happen in a firefight.
So a gunner could just sit inside the IFV and kill 40 Taliban on his own. Another advantage is night vision, they're pretty fucked when you see them and they don't see you. Taliban got pretty fucked in combat, all they did was run off and live to fight another day.

I think one of the problems is range, these guys are engaged from a mile away so they just get shot from a good distance. For whatever reason they never managed to take out a CV90 with RPG, and they certainly tried.

I'm pretty sure the armor on Norwegian C90's can take a normal rpg7 warhead, the most likely thing to take it out would probably be one with a tandem charge, and if they were a mile or so away, it wouldn't be possible to hit with that
