I think you mean Yuletide.

Jul is about giving cummies to the young.

Can't wait till it's over desu.

>happy holidays!

use this all the time against boomers

I have never bought a present to anyone ever

this triggers me
it is not christmas without christ

Why is this such a big deal in the US? I've seen it being pointed out lot's of times.

Some people say happy holidays to encompass all religions/cultures but old right wing boomers take this as an insult to them somehow and want people to say Merry Christmas.

it's some Jewish psyop to remove Christian reference in the language, just like switching BC/AD to BCE/CE. it's a futile battle anyway so who cares? I say Merry Christmas and aren't hung up about it. In many ways it's one of those superficial things used to distract/divide the public, although it is really of malicious intent via my first sentence.

>Christmas isn't secretly a Jewish holiday that forces goyim to buy hoards of presents for each other and consume Hollywood Christmas™ media.

Attached: 1533088916460.png (665x800, 54K)

In the US it is part of a culture war. Non-Christians use happy holidays to show that they don't like Christian influence in America. Christians use Merry Christmas to show that they believe Christianity is part of America's founding.

In civilised countries like the UK we just say Merry Christmas regardless of our personal beliefs.

Who cares. Christmas isn't Christian. Christfags simply stole the holiday from the Pagans and taped their stupid Jew carpenter into it.

This.
God, you people are insulting. Trivializing the marked birthday of our lord and saviour like this.

>inb4 pagan holiday not actually Jesus' birthday
We all know that faggots. Fucking atheists.

Christmas is about the pine tree :)

I fucking hate sandnigger Jewish desert rats and their gay poison of a religion

America turned it into that because America is an Atheistic country, but that's not what Christmas really is.

You need professional help. Why shouldn't I tell people happy holidays in case all they're celebrating is New Years? Even if they are celebrating christmas it still wishes them well for these few weeks.

>having a day in winter where the family gets together and even stingy parents give their childrens presents is a bad thing
t. brainlets

>You need professional help.
I already get it.

Serious answer:
The true idea of Christmas of course is celebrating the birthday of our beloved Messiah Jesus Christ, but it has been corrupted into a materialistic shitshow. Capitalism has become more important than religion, that is why Christmas has become more important to people than easter, even though the biblical significance of Jesus' ressurection is far bigger than his birth. The fact that nowadays Christmas is mostly about presents is just one of the many symptoms of the downfall of western culture, values and Christian roots.

No, it's not a fucking culture war you idiot. The normal people don't give a shit and just say whatever. Only a few nuts actually care at all and start seething when people say happy holidays for no reason.

t. one of the uncivilised Yanks proving my point

Just say Merry Christmas you dumb fucks. The only reason you started bringing up happy holidays is so you don't offend Jews because of muh Hanukkah.

Problem is, the capitalist transformation of christmas was spurred by Christians themselves.

>Jesus was born on December.
>It's true because the Catholic Church says so
>I ignore any studies that proves otherwise

The jews really got you controlled bad, huh.

This. These fuckers don't even go to mass during Christmas. It's incredibly disrespectful.

>mfw all Christmas songs made by Jews are about consumerism and sex

Attached: 531157.png (399x322, 42K)

Western Christians celebrate it on Dec. 25th because they saw parallels to Christ and Sol Invicuts. It's a big allegory.

christ the "king of jews" was born to save you.

do you feels (((saved))) yet? goyim? :^)

That's not why I say happy holidays. I say happy holidays because it sounds nicer and wishes people a good vacation / last week of december instead of wishing them a good 25th. Happy holidays includes new years. Hannukah is incidental.
Where do you people get your opinions? Literally no one fucking cares here.

>serious answer
>t.German

why am I not surprised

Only people that work for customer service say happy holidays. Give it a rest

(((professional help)))

Thanks for your pure christian perspective, filipino. You're talking to someone from what was originally a hard puritan colony.

No, God creeps me out. I don't understand it

>"king of jews
this was a title given to Jesus to mock him by his enemies. Jesus never called himself "king of the Jews" nor did his disciples.
So it's kind of appropriate that you would call him that in a derisivemanner, being his enemy, but you probably assume that's an official title of his or something.

People know it is not his literal day of birth user.

>I say happy holidays because it sounds nicer
It doesn't though. It sounds pretentious.

>and wishes people a good vacation / last week of december
Christmas refers to the period not to a single day in that greeting. Christmas traditionally begins with advent and lasts until the 12th day of Christmas which is beyond New Years.

Nah. See the Yank above.

Flips are much more Christian than Americans. Both culturally and spiritually.

Attached: Protestant Evangelicals in a nutshell.png (1440x1578, 819K)

>vacations
clearly a 200 years long jewish psyops to destroy western culture and its historical precedence of having no work free days outside of religious holidays

The "mewwy chwistmas" meme is just flyovers crying about their silly willy holiday getting laughed at by intellectual coastbros. Nothing to see here, more flyover SEETHing.

>no work free days outside of religious holidays
good thin those religious holidays were 1/3rd of the year. Also no one worked on sunday :p

>Doth m'lady protest?

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (3000x1688, 197K)

Yule is on the 24th, Christmas is on the 25th.

The more you know!

DUDE!!!! BASED!!!! BASED AND REDPILLED!!!!

Attached: 1545396399803.gif (741x674, 118K)

Then why celebrate it on a day that was obviously was meant for a specific Pagan holiday?

No one gives a shit how "long" christmas "traditionally" lasts, old fart. And please feel free to explain to me how "happy holidays" sounds pretentious. I can't even see where you're coming from at this point, it's embarrassing how deluded you've allowed this website to make you.

We actually celebrate Christmas because it's Christ's birthday, unlike the corrupted, warped western world's view of Christmas (for presents and muh capitalism)
We actually go to church for 9 days straight on 4am for Christ, and go to church the night before Christmas (after which get drunk)

Attached: 1533526291565.jpg (799x799, 145K)

see for "why". Christ is assosiated with sun imagery because he returns just like sun returns every morning, and is life giving

Based

>no work on sunday

which reminds you of what? that's right, the sabbath. I bet the Linear pottery culture had no concept of a weekly work free day, until the jews did a number on them and their western culture, we can clearly see the decline from around 4600 bc onwards.

>We actually go to church for 9 days straight on 4am for Christ

Attached: 1374796030634.png (444x440, 117K)

Tradition at this point. It would be a hassle to get everyone to change it.

>old fart
I'm 24.

>And please feel free to explain to me how "happy holidays" sounds pretentious
Because it sounds like a fucking hallmark advert. When you grow up in a culture that says Merry Christmas but you choose to change it to sound different then that it by definition pretentious. See: The only reason Yanks say happy holidays is because you have a pole up your arse.

"Christmas" is not christ's birthday. You've literally been tricked by a fucking stupid roman emporer and his trickery to get people to shut the fuck up.
And while we're at it, good christians do not drink in quantities enough to get "drunk." Sinful glutton.

Christmas is about the worship of moloch (capitalism)

Attached: image.jpg (679x900, 191K)

See . There was no "trick". It's the date Western Christians celebrate his birth for spiritual reasons. Eastern Christians celebrate it some time in January.

It's the season of the Christmas goat

I've heard both merry christmas and happy holidays my whole life, and I'm 20. Maybe you just live in the 50s, which again is why I called you an old fart. Not because of your actual age, moron.

Who /juliancalendar/ here?

You can come up with as many excuses as you want, but that doesn't change the fact that the roman empire picked the date to pacify the pagans they were conquering. Claiming otherwise is a display of historical dishonesty.

>Maybe you just live in the 50s
No. I live in the UK were nobody says happy holidays despite us having a much higher atheist population than the USA. Mostly because, as I mentioned, British people don't feel the need to shit all over Christmas as part of a culture war like Yanks do.

Yeah but you're worse with other stuff

Like what?

>Claiming otherwise is a display of historical dishonesty.
not it's not. They chose that day because it was appropriate for a number of reasons, not to "pacify" anyone. and it wasn't the Emperor either, it was the Christian community that decided it.

I

Getting arrested for saying mean things online

Dare u to bring it up at the table

Literally the same as in America.

theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/18/facebook-comments-arrest-prosecution

>"Christmas" is not christ's birthday
>implying we don't know that
It's the spirit that counts. You wouldn't know because you are controlled by the jewish, or the atheist capitalist media that "Christmas" is for gifts and shit and completely removes Jesus (the lord and saviour) with Santa (muh presents)

Christmas season here starts at September for fucks sake, and our christmas songs are acutally about Jesus being born and being jubilant about it. Unlike murrica and the rest of the western world.

Nah, I've said racist stuff online and nothing happened.

>Unlike murrica and the rest of the western world.
What are Christmas carols?

Just because Christian community that decided it doesn't mean it's correct way.
You either celebrate birth of Jesus Christ in between summer and Fall or keep deluding yourselves.

So have I and nothing happened. You overestimate it because you read Jow Forums too much.

>christmas
>not papist nonsense

t. Oliver Cromwell

>Let me tell you what's correct or not.
Fuck off maybe? I mean do you know how conceited you sound? I think
>But Our Lord, too, is born in the month of December ... the eight before the calends of January [25 December] ..., But they call it the 'Birthday of the Unconquered'. Who indeed is so unconquered as Our Lord...? Or, if they say that it is the birthday of the Sun, He is the Sun of Justice.
makes a better case than you.

I told everyone that I work with Merry Christmas before we went on our week long vacations, all paid. And the boss gave us a Christmas bonus. Sadly I won't be seeing him at church because we have three catholic ones and I don't attend the same one as he or my coworkers.
I say this just to say that I hope everyone in this thread has a Merry Christmas.

>He calls this holiday Christmas
>He's a cuck that thinks Jól is about some dead jew on a stick

Attached: 1417363278090.gif (250x188, 554K)

how is he wrong again?

>including old christmas songs we sing too
Is there a connection between Protestantism and being unreligious

Not really. The most atheist country on Earth is the Czech Republic which was formally catholic. Other formerly Catholic nations which are now very atheist include Spain and France.

>being stubborn and deluding yourself that it's correct to celebrate someone's birthday in the wrong date just because muh culture.

Attached: 1566890472261.png (645x729, 40K)

>happy holidays!

Attached: 1541781111248.jpg (647x740, 54K)

>Jól
This is the same as Yule right?

shame you fail to appreciate the symbolism. but really you have no authority on the matter regardless.

Jól is the correct spelling
Yule is a bastardization of the word Jól

I think it just comes from Anglo-Saxon as compared to Norse.

>WE NEED TO THINK OF THE JEWS WHO DON'T CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

Attached: pure soy.jpg (700x734, 107K)

My 99 year old great-grandmother thought yesterday was X-mas and gifted my this post card of whales of Península Valdés, Chubut, Argentina

Attached: 20181223_141658.jpg (800x600, 25K)

X here stands for ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ/Christ

Its spelled yule in English because that's as close you Anglos could get to spelling it phonetically.

That implies that the Norse introduced it when they did not. Yule was celebrated by Anglo-Saxons in England from their arrival. Anglo-Saxons were not Christians when they came to England.

>A troll thread
>German still answers seriously
Thats why I love you guys

Shameful.

Yeah, if you do it beliefs say you get 1 wish granted by Jesus himself.

christmas is about drinking alcohol
