I don't get it. Do they make cars for kids now?
>adds a "manual transmission" at the right side of D
>clutch doesn't pop out near the brake
It doesn't anymore, at least in France. Automatic cars are very common now.
yea because why would anyone want to drive an auto. its only the standard here because driving is necessary in life and most people here are garbage drivers.
I want to be 'enraged and confused' by this tqbh
Automatic transmission is godsend in city traffic. Manual is good for highway driving.
this would definitely scare the burger
*shifts to a lower gear*
*overtakes you driving one handed while sipping his Monster*
*gives you best of both worlds*
Where are the f*cking numbers?
I'm currently taking driving lessons in Germany and I don't get why I have to manually shift through the gears. It's so much work. I will buy an automatic car when I have my license.
Electronic gears car are not manual car, nothing close.
i drive manual. how long until theyre phased out everywhere?
>I'm currently taking driving lessons
Underraged people fuck off
I'm 24 Pierre
Why would i ever drive a car when i can hop on a self driving bus for free? Future is here old man
Since 2015 it is very bad to take a bus here
I don't understand bike are manual, and I know bugers can ride motorcycles can they just not figure it out
>Italian car
*breaks down*
would you want to use a computer than where you need to press clutch and change gear every time you have to click?
Tob geg xDD D
But its self driving
Hab ich auch nie verstanden, mich hats nur genervt. Mein Vater meinte, ihm macht es Spaß "mit der Maschine zu interagieren".
>simpler design
Your post is more confusing
Normal people take driving lessons at 17.
Mein Vater hat mir erzählt dass automatisch Autos mehr verbrauchen, kurz gegooglet, typisches Boomerargument von 1990.
I never needed a car. I am only taking lessons now because public transport has become unbearable and I'm finishing university.
But the Alfa 4c is a nice one though.
I'm 24 and I haven't taken lessons yet
Yeah well this is Jow Forums, it's full of losers. I'm 21 and just started taking lessons too.
Why are you a loser for not taking driving lessons when you are 17? Commuting is much more comfortable, I can play my Switch or read a book or post on Jow Forums.
I'm not disagreeing, just pointing out that people here are often behind on social milestones normalfaggots consider standard.
>for free
you finna fund it in some way either through bus tickets, taxes, or cuts in other benefits
It IS confusing. I thought automatic cars only had a switch or lever or something like that for going into reverse, what are all those other options supposed to do?
I know a bunch of mid-20s people in real life who haven't gotten their driving license yet.
>alfa romeo
yikes
>I'm not a loser
>I can play my Switch
uhh
Park for parking the car
Reverse to go in reverse
Neutral to disengage the engine from the wheels
Drive to drive forward
+ and - for sequential shifting
>Pforward
>Reverse
>Nowhere
>Down
korean engineering
That doesn't sound very automatic.
Seriously?
P=park, locks the transmission and wheels
D= Drive
N= Neutral, disengages transmission without locking wheels
R=Reverse
+/- used to manually select gears once in "D" for overtaking and hill descent
just switch it to D(ick)
I know in Mexico it is cheap but here you have to pay at least 2000€ for a driving license and many people are not getting one anymore or they get one but never buy a car. My father never pushed me to get one so I never bothered.
In German cities like Berlin now only 20% of 17 year olds get the license.
Cars just are not status symbols anymore. People prefer to get the newest smartphone and clothes to show off which is a lot easier than spending $30000 on a car
A lot of people start driving later in life,it's not a big deal. Stop being so autistic.
even kids can drive with automatic transmission
Hello self-conscious kiddo did you get vbucks for Christmas?
>2000€ for driving license
wtf are you talking about?
It costs like 100€ here
You probably have to pay for more than just a document
yes, the price for rides with instructor and taking the test is included in the 100€
I find that very hard to believe.
my bad, it's around 300€
still, paying 2000€ for a drivers license is insane
Once you master a manual you'll think auto is shit.
>German flag
>complaining about it's so much work
you have to go back to wherever you come from
Different Czech user, mine was 10000CZK for everything, so 386€ with today's rates
I haven't driven MT car since the spring in 2013 if my memory is right. And that was Mazda's shitty van at work.
Tbh, I don't get why normal people, not car enthusiasts, also should be engaged in operating more complex systems in some part of the world.
(MT car ratio in Japan is around 2% and my car is AT ofc)
Currently, you have to pay for a first aid course which is 80€. Then there's the medical exam that you pay a bit over 40€ for. The theoretical exam is something like 30€. Then there's the driving school where you have to get 20 hours at the very least (the average is a bit over 30 hours), each costing ~25€. the practical exam is about 30€. Then when you've passed, you have to pay about 20€ for the actual license.
If we're talking absolutely everything that comes up
The driving school itself was 10000CZK(all theory lessons + 28 hours of driving lessons that are required by law)
700 for the final exams
500 for the medical exam
I think 50 for the license itself
and that should be all, which gives us 11250CZK(434€)
there's no First Aid Course here
>Driving in the city with no parking and heavy traffic everywhere
Manila was a mistake
This. Flappy paddle is way better.
Manual transmission is for car enthusiasts
Automatic transmission is for car enthusiasts who want to go fast
I pay 350€ for the theory lessons, 200€ for the practical test, 35€ for the first help course, 7€ for the glasses, each practical lesson hour is 40€ and you have 12 mandatory lessons (4 on the autobahn, 4 overland, 4 at night) which are 50€. Usually people take 30 hours so you can make the math. Every third person fails the test which is another 200€ plus extra lessons.
>German
>complaining about work
you have to come home, son
Very few burgers ride motorcycles.
Took me the better half of 5 seconds to drive away in an automatic for the first time.
*sips monster*
tubular dude, go on
>mfw I had to turn down a manager job promotion at the EU branch after hearing I needed to be able to drive stick shift cars
>FIAT CHRISHIT ANYTHING
People whose IQ is higher than 80 never even consider sitting in the passenger seat of one
ffs you should have lied or better yet called a friend to teach you, it takes one afternoon to learn
>I pay 350€ for the theory lessons, 200€ for the practical test, 35€ for the first help course, 7€ for the glasses
the fuck?
Do SK prefer sticks to automatics???
I believe you have no such thing as sports car culture.
not a fan of autos, but i would gladly own a sequential semi-auto
easy on the clutch Hans
I got a driving license in china and I sell points since I'm not in china
Here if you do a licence with an automatic is only valid for that. So people learn to use the manual shift to have the full licence
Same in Germany, there is some kind of note on the EU drivers license.
I'm driving both automatic and manual transmission - manual is better for streets on the countryside, for city and other heavy traffic streets automatic is comfy as fuck.
Only these half-things like in women cars (like Fiat 500 or Smart) are just confusing.
I don't even think about shifting gears, how do people get stressed about that thing?
It's annoying when you need to press the clutch and shift through the sequence back to 3rd or whatever.
Americans have traffic lights at every crossing so they can't stand stick shift.
Automatic sucks in the mountains because you can't really engine brake.
Manual is 1000x more satisfying to drive
>It's annoying when you need to press the clutch and shift through the sequence
what? my brain does that, I feel the engine and shift, I don't think 'oh wow now I have to reach all the way to the stick and put it in second"
>Americans have traffic lights at every crossing so they can't stand stick shift.
americans are just lazy and fat, I have been there and you only need to put the car in 5th for 90% of the time really
>you can't really engine brake.
yikes, it's like a go kart, also how annoying is it to overtake without shifting to a lower gear?
I drove automatic cars on a few occasions and it feels boring and dull.
manual is much, much, much cheaper. to us europoors that is a godsend.
its 1400 euros in austria.
So for lack of a better term they feel nigger rich?
Wow.
They really jew you out of your money.
€400 is not that much, it's around €600-700 here
2000 yuros now that's jewing
