Cars are cool but they should be treated as utilitarian items that wear out and hemorrhage value, because that's what they do. Personally, I drive a POS old Pontiac because it gets me from point A to B and it's paid for. My only costs are insurance, fuel, and some occasional maintenance. Buying a $40k car when you don't already own a home is stupid.
