I got a credit card that gives 5% cashback on gas

Used my moms amazon prime to apply for it in December to get a free Trezor. At the time if you signed up you got like a $70 amazon gift card or something. I get 5% cash back when shopping on Amazon and like 2% everywhere else, it adds up and is free.

are points worthless? it seems like it's better to just get a good cash back card and use that. i've had my amex for 5 years, use it for everything, and only have like 90,000 points to show for it

If you frequently shop at Amazon, then yes. I've been using it for years, putting everything on it (and paying my balance in full every month). The points really add up. I frequently order stuff on Amazon that end up costing me nothing.

I am literally retarded. I used the credit card, it had a gift card attached to it for signing up.I pay off my balance each week. I did get cash back for the trezor. I didn't need to pay anything off since the gift card covered the trezor and with prime free shipping.

Good card but also recommend the Uber Visa. Looks gay as shit but 4% on all restaurants, Michelin star to McD’s (carryout/delivery too- just by merchant code), 3% hotel and airfare, 2% Uber and online goods, 1% everything else. Plus up to $600 ins on phone if you pay phone bill with it. It’s great single purpose card for eating out/carry out. But again, looks really stupid you’ll get comments. People recognize me cause of it.

Leaf here, since Amazon.ca doesn't offer the Visa anymore, is the Hometrust Preferred the only one that has no foreign exchange fees? Anyone have that card? Thinking of applying.
