Blockchain is analogous to a corporate revolution. Revolutions don't happen outside of economic trauma. Wait for the next recession, and it will be at least covered as attributable to some bankers or something who did something fishy.

After the next economic downturn, it will become commonplace for institutions to verify their transactions via public consensus. You can't do that with consortium chains.
