Is it easy to change your name in your country?

its unfortunately very hard in Turkey. i want to get rid of my ar*bic name but i would have to hire a lawyer, need a valid reason to change it and spend 6-12 months of my life for it.

Yes it is.
I changed my first and last name a few years ago.
Took about 2 months after I filled in the papers on their website before I was legally named something else. Then went and made a new drivers license and ID card. Done.

Why did you change your names?

Because I want no part in my family or their name. I moved across the country to get away from them.

There's this old joke that was hilarious to me when I was little.

A guy goes to the police and says:
"I want to change my name because I don't like it."
"What's your name?"
"It's George Shit."
"I understand. What do you want to be your new name?"
"Peter Shit."

Oh I got cool turkic name thanks to god

you can change your arabic name

My friend changed his name to a joke name after he lost a bet. He said all you need is just filling a from and giving them 2000 Kč (80 dollars).
