So I've been selling shit on eBay for a couple of months now, but the fees are a bit troublesome. I got the marketing down pretty good on my listings and SEO, but I feel like eBay is kinda bullshit unless you are an Anchor Store or Premium Seller.
I was curious to know what other types of other sites are kinda similar without ridiculous fees where my listings will not be overshadowed?
Looked at Etsy and Amazon, but was curious if Jow Forums had any insight? Thanks in advance!

Yo I use to own an eBay store. I sold clothing/ good finds that I would find at my nearest goodwills/depot. I was doing alright but eBays fees became more of a pain in the dick. I sold 5 tablets at 400$ each and they charged me around 240$ in fees by the end of the month which was almost my whole profit from the tablets + the 25$ month store cost. I fucking hate eBay
a couple of things, normally shit I find on letgo or at yard sales. I'll barcode scan the item then try to flip it on ebay.
Somethings are:

Movies
Photos
Audio Books
Posters
etc.
Im trying my hand at drop shipping real hair weaves and shit, but again because the market it pretty saturated with a bunch of other listings my shit doesnt show in the search results until like page 9

I buy name brand t-shirts from ebay. They normally cost around 45 new but people sell them on ebay for 10 dollars free shipping all the time. How tf are these people making money?

I'm powerseller since 2012. I have to tell you that the times to be a new amazon/ebayseller is very tough since the Ebay and Amazon is dominated by the chinese.
You can still succeed within a deep niche or with some sole distributor rights for some unknown brand that only you can sell.
when did the fees get this high, i remember using it to sell back in 2010 and it was a small fraction. i sold some airline vouchers last month and got hammered, almost made it not worth it if they are going to take 30% of my profit

Ebay is fucking stupid, I still sell there but I don't take it serious anymore, if I find something that I can flip for a couple of bucks I don't mind spending the time listing shit which can take up to 30 minutes sometimes, then you have to ship it which takes some time of your day to either find a drop box or go to the shipping office.
They been squeezing sellers to the point of no return for years now and they don't care cuss they know they have an army of gooks in China willing to fill the holes America's are leaving open.
It started with the rising fees, then it got ridiculous expensive, in the last update they took away the ability to ship by weight which was nice cuss I could squeeze a couple of bucks usually out of that, now you have to ship for whatever amount they set add to it that now the government wants a piece if the sellers action and they'll start to tax every sell for up to 14% I think.
One scaming customer saying they want to return the item and whatever profit you made has now vanish, not to mention the fucks on what will also charge you a return fee for whatever reason as a seller.
Total scam, they truly don't deserve the traffic, they're trying to compete with Amazon so hard but the only way they found how to is by fucking their seller base instead of improving their selling tactics and technology like Amazon.
Fuck eBay, the only thing they're good for is for buying counterfeit shit from gook land
It's shit I don't know of any alternative; been selling on there for years and have come to the conclusion that the only way it's worth my time is selling things I've gotten for free or would otherwise toss/give away. between paypal and ebay my fees end up being 23%+ not including the cock-a-meme final value fee on shipping they floated as a way to combat sellers hiking shipping price avoiding fvf on the item itself. plus their customer service is shit, too much shit tier automation and foreign employment. Cock-suckers can't even get a simple listing tool right, Turbo Lister 2 is the single buggiest program I've ever interacted with, it's fuckin infuriating... of course I still use them though since they're the only real option.

How is that even possible. Ebay fees are 10% for regular users and i think 9% for anchor stores? Unless that's specific to what I'm selling. I make probably 5-10K profit per year on the side of wagecucking with almost no effort

you missed the ebay boat by about 15 years. thats when their fees and policies went out of hand and i quit. i did t shirt printing and it was very profitable back then.
Also don't sell anything fedex on fagbay. I sold some boots for 150 bucks. Shipping through fedex was around 15 so I did that. 3 weeks later I get a 45 dollar charge on my credit card from fed ex. The fed ex price is only an estimation and they re-evaluate the cost once it hits one of their fed ex facility's. Fucking kikes, I tried to fight it but they won.

I always find it funny when sellers complain about fees. You pass any increase in fees onto the customer by raising your prices. Do you people have any business sense? These people buy on ebay and amazon for the convenience of buying on a large established trusted platform. They aren't bargain hunters.
