Portuguese sounds like Russian to me. I was in a plane back from Porto when I overheard a conversation and was 100% certain it was Russian until one of them said 'Obrigado' to the flight attendant.
Also Brazillian just sounds like monkey noises. People talking shit about Dutch haven't heard some Hue speak.

I used to hate how br Portuguese sounded but now I think it's cool, and yeah European Portuguese does sound like a slave language, it's a lot more closed mouth, more "sh" sounds and we tend to eat our words a lot like we are in a rush to finish a sentence unlike brasilians who sound out their sillables a lot more.

Same. It's a different flavour with it's good uses. Old Brazilian grandpas sound very nice and honest as opposed to our more stern and dry ones. Bossa nova is petty great. It can have that flirty Italian thing where it's flamboyant but not gay, although it can definitely sound very gay as well.
The thing I can't stand is shouted Brazilian. It gets very obnoxious and monkey-ish if not controlled down.
