This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
I like Kagawa, but I think they are all nice! Tokushima has such nice nature, deep in the mountains, Ehime has so many beautiful small towns, Kochi has such beautiful shores! I wish I could surf, because everyone seemed to be doing it there!

I openly encourage everyone to mass scale report /ex-yu/ generals They have a full right to move their conversation to /balk/ but not as an independent general If they can have their own general because of a common language then the same applies to many other nations around the world as well as in this region, while I don't see any Kosovars and Albanians with their /shqip/ generals or a /ruman/ general specifically dedicated to Romanians and Moldovans, an inadequate number of posters isn't an excuse either since /ex-yu/ as one of the most inactive, repetitive and overall pointless generals on the entire board suffers from the same problem
I work for an agricultural company and we have japanese buyers. So, I better get good at it. That's why I try to keep a japanese journal of sorts.. work related.. it's pretty basic.
Anons, what do you think of my attempts at kanji and hiragana/kata. Any thoughts? Pointers? Critics? Encouragements?
your kanji are quite well balanced. I hope you are memorizing by the building blocks and not by strokes (but don't listen to me because i can't write anything)

I guess I should just read the Japanese tourist booklet which has all the common phrases and such. There was a Japanese tour group in the airport as well and honestly the language is very beautiful to listen to.
Thanks. My hand got pretty stiff after that. And yes, I'm trying to learn the meaning of the blocks, but the strokes I just follow a simple "left to right and close the box at the end", because honestly it would be too much to learn and I cannot really write for long.

You are totally right, my bad there. I haven't gotten around getting the right hiragana for those, but I just went through reviewing them about two weeks ago. They are a big of a challenge.

I went to Comiket for the first time and I was surprised at how many fujoshi are actually really cute, including some of the artists. Why are female Japanese degenerates cute? In America all of our female degenerates are 200lbs or extremely hideous.
unfortunately, Google translate is not that accurate so far, so you shouldn't believe that it says so much. of course, it's very useful for us depending on how to use though. anyway, I hope it will be improved to be able to translate complicated Japanese sentences into English more accurately in the future. if it's realized, I'm pretty sure that we can have a conversation not only with native English speakers, but also people around the world without the need for a great effort to study English.
by the way, how many hours did you wait for admission to the venue of Comiket?
