2 FUD Facts

1. Main net is not in 2018. Pivotal still has over 120 tasks in ice box. The alpha on ropsten still does not have any of the reputation, aggregation or other needed items. Once everything is complete expect 2 months for audits. Right now a good estimation is 2nd quarter 2019.

2. 350 million link is to keep node operators (the average joe running a node) afloat due to possible lack of chainlink network use. "Half of the remaining is for the team and additional development expenses, and the other half is node operator incentives" Rory 2018. The team has never said this node incentive stash is for "big players"

LINK is hot trash, ZAP is where its at, prove me wrong.

Attached: ZAPoracle.png (651x121, 20K)

So my node will generate Links even if there's very little network use? No Fud, I'm ready for that.
Rory stated that not all of the tasks need to be completed, alot of them are just nice to have. However I also believe we won't have the main net live in 2018.

> The alpha on ropsten still does not have any of the reputation, aggregation or other needed items.

Im almost positive they will do away with the reputation system. They will keep payment penalties as the only incentive to provide correct answers.

1 fact:
enigma killed link.
Enigma's partnership with Intel means they are going to offer SGX-verified data in the Enigma Data Marketplace.
Ie. the shit that's described in link's whitepaper as possible future versions.

watch and see. I doubt they have a plan in place to prevent reputation farming.

So, the ""team"" has 500 million Links at their disposal that can be dumped at any moment if the project fails to deliver?

KEK

It's essential. It's what makes or breaks the project.

It was Thomas who said that.

In other news Money Skelly did a presentation yesterday in Malta and the final section is a bit on Decentralised Oracles.

Here is a link

docs.google.com/presentation/d/1MLwN2-pBufDmUNprf-r8LXFCm1Ua8skphzDTNPTaiUQ/edit#slide=id.g3c7d1a22de_0_413

So you're basically saying my node will be invisible

all items in ice box wont be completed. this was already confirmed by Thomas you idiot.

Like clockwork, someone posted some neat info with universa earlier then BAM the fud cranks up again

Onto you lads

more like 650 million link

yes but its end of june and the ropsten node basically can only run its own contract. There is no aggregation, reputation, consensus or anything else that chainlink needs before main net...then you have audits which last 6-8 weeks at least. You fuckin brainlet.

650 million :/

gib link pls

You do know they have a private repository?

Aggregation is something that can be done when main net is up and running for a lot of things. A simple aggregation algorithm with some settings the smart contract can specify is enough. Later more elaborate aggregation techniques can be implemented. Consensus and aggregation are basically the same thing.

It's all in reputation code. How will it work, how do they prevent reputation farming? That's what will decide whether chainlink is the next big thing or a scam.

yes but they confirmed it has nothing to do with the chainlink nodes.

Hey buddy, i lost all my LINK after clicking that....

thomas has already said aggregation will be completed and tested on ropsten before main net. Also expect at least 1-2 months of testing once everything is on ropsten.

If you go into slack they cannot even give firm answers because the details have not been worked out. This project will be successful but anyone that thinks main net is coming before q2 2019 is delusional.

If you guys are so confident about the 350 million going to big dogs and not the you an me's running our shitty aws node then go ask the team. You won't like what you hear, I guarantee it!

Eff off flaming fudder. Link is the future, September mainnet.

this shitcoin will never moon.
Don't fell for Sergey's lies.

>September mainnet.
how though?

Nice meme sirs

Look here buddy boy. I like Enigma but if you think it's going to be anything more than just an ERC20 for a while you're going to have a bad time. I'm talking years.

>thomas has already said aggregation will be completed and tested on ropsten before main net.
Never seen this before. You have some kind of screenshot or anything?

this

Everything that never happens, happens in September.

dimitri roche , thomas hedge , ari juels , tom gonser , john barker , steve ellis remember these names they will make you rich beyond your imagination

it's because Chinese new year

not really different than any other premined coin

black on green...must have been a small room.

salesforce convention dreamforce will happen in september with special guests check out the dreamforce site

But Rory did mention that the pivotal icebox is a list of "nice to haves" and not necessary for mainnet.

IC3 is developing the SGX chip with Intel you retard. Fud harder faggot

Enigma is going to work on the Intel SGX TEE, but what do you mean by SGX-verified data? Enigma, like any decentralized network, will still need an oracle network to load off-chain data. SGX is one of a few frameworks to host applications. Microsoft Azure is offering both SGX and the Windows VSM (Virtual Machine Mode) to support private applications on the cloud. We know that SGX is hardware-based and VSM is software-based. Both of these serve to prevent data breaches. Does Enigma have some way to load off-chain data from oracles/compete with Chainlink? I imagined LINK serving platforms like these, I'm not sure that Enigma's partnership threatens Link, though I do think it threatens Monero/Zencash/Ethereum.

do your own legwork pajeet.

this

yes some are nice to haves but you still need aggregation, reputation, consensus. right now its an oracle...thats it. IT is not close to completion are you guys blind or just heads in sand. There is months of work, testing, auditing to do. Main net is 2019 100% guaranteed. If you fucking think for a second they can finish, test, audit, all in 6 months you are fucking crazy

newsroom.intel.com/editorials/intel-advances-silicon-based-security-ai-blockchain-workloads/

Where's the FUD, fag?

I'm sorry, not really fud but just 2 facts.

chainlink was already working from 2016 they are just implementing it to go language dyor

This is so bad I'm making the first post in months to tell you how bad it is. Borderline cringe, reeks of babbys first green text and doesn't capture the spirit at all. You obviously thought it was good enough to copy paste in more than 1 thread, despite it getting no replies (because its that bad). That in itself demonstrates your utter lack of awareness. Stop posting and never return.

chainlink is a meme, right?

Attached: 1520847331001.jpg (1218x1015, 212K)

Trump was a meme

>There is no aggregation, reputation, consensus or anything else that chainlink needs
Fucking brainlet who doesn't know how deep ChainLINK's network goes.

>Cornell Professor Unveils 'Simple Yet Powerful' Consensus Protocols
>Referred to as Snowflake, Snowball and Avalanche, the protocols randomly sample network participants, and ultimately choose a single result, Sirer said.
>Emin Gün Sirer, IC3 Co-Director
>Ari Juels, IC3 Co-Director
>Ari Juels, Technical Advisor ChainLINK

Say it with me now: MAINNET COMES OUT IN SEPTEMBER.

holy fuck..I can't even respond to that brainlet.

Only possible if everything was complete and they begin testing and auditing which will at least take 3 months. aint happening brainlet

Consensus among oracles isn't even similar to consensus for a blockchain.

integrate SGX into our regular build environment
an hour ago
John Barker finished this feature

nice, now only 200 more features to go...main net 2019

Not all need to be done. Stale fud

we’ve been through this, almost certainly not related.

can i just use a companies logo and raise 32 million dollars like im going to connect everything together ??? my point is, how are they not get sued for using VISA, PAYPAL, SWIFT, HSBC, MASTERCARD???

Is there a loop hole im missing here?

yes but enough to make main net 2019...guaranteed.

>how are they not get sued

Kek

cold blooded

Guys listen its pretty simple. Once you are able to run your own ropsten node, that node grabs external data for contracts, the contract creator pays with ropsten link, you put up ropsten link as collateral, all results are put together and an answer is written to ropsten, reward ropsten links are paid, ropsten links are penalized from nodes that were wrong,.....
Once this is happening add 2 months for continuous testing and auditing before the main net goes live.

Hint, we are about 6-8 months from being at the point i just mentioned

ive had a few drinks im no pajeet. white american new york city maga

Says who, faggot

They are showing examples of data they can pull. For example, Paypal has an api that allows external companies to use. So yes, Chainlink will be able to use Paypal but there is no partnership. The logos are not wrong. They never said they have a partnership with any of those companies.

Another example is swift. Smartcontract (not chainlink) created an oracle poc for swift. This was just a poc and chainlink was never part of the poc. So even if Swift uses the Smart Oracle SmartContract created chainlink may not even be used....quicktip chainlink will not be used by SWIFt

OP is right, mainnet will be 2019 sometime

Says the code and overall progress. I broke it down for you above you brainlet. It is pretty simple if you have a basic understanding of CS

When September hits and we still don't have reputation and other details worked out some will start to capitulate, others will swear december 2018...either way 2019 here we come

Thank you. I hold link and have high hopes for the project but am realistic unlike most of biz.

basically they have the logos there for exemplary fashion and nothing official, it is more as if "this is what we could connect" type of infographic right? would chainlink be able to utilize paypals API without their consent? or will it be such that every node operator will have to fight for the best API access?

It's funny how you call people brainlets and you insist we door, but you didn't even know that CL is already working and that this is the golang implementation. That's a lot of nerve for an uneducated piece of garbage like you. ;)

i also believe mainnet 2019 makes most sense and by 2020 we get to see if Chainlink is successful or a bust.

yes, a company is allowing consent by offering an api. A company may offer a paid api or subscription api as well. Node operators can even access these with an external adapter.

Out of the box Chainlink will be able to utilize paypal's api.

developer.paypal.com/docs/api/overview/

solid tenacity right here man hope your iq is above 150 though or karma will hunt you down

you know what cl is right now? It is an oracle on ethereum running on ropsten. It is not a decentralized oracle network. I can't explain everything to you brainlet but maybe someone else can dumb it down for you

interesting, basically at the foundation, the chainlink network will allow someone to monetize data which hasnt been done before?

Finished product will be a decentralized oracle network with nodes aggregating data and coming to a consensus. Right now you can be your own oracle...far off from final design. Ask the team if I'm wrong.

Yes, Smart Contracts are the future and Chainlink is going to give any company or anyone with an API a way to monetize their data for smart contracts. The project is solid and I expect big things. With that being said, anyone expecting big things to happen anytime this year are delusional. Plus, the team does not plan to market or have any publicity until main net which will keep the price low for at least 6-8 months.

So you agree that Enigma's partnership is simply securing it's position as a security token so far?

>18 posts

Ah, yes. The company that is using P Diddy as a paid shill. I’m really worried.

> his only replies just reinforce in everyone else's mind how ignorant he is and how little he knows of where CL is at
> continues to call people brainlets
I'm not sure you even know what a repo is at this point. It's ok - this is perfectly normal for a confused npc like you. Go on though, keep trying to "educate" the people in this thread. It's funny at least.

fine by me really. ill keep researching.

YOU WILL COMMIT SUICIDE WHEN YOU LOOK BACK 1 MONTH FROM NOW.

The amount of shit that Link gets here made me buy a lil stack

>An account
what the fuck

This is actually pasta surprisingly

*snap*

*snap*

Linkies will, that is.

Asked, just market sold

Look at these crazy LINK digits. $1000 EOY for sure. gimme asian gf

You are a retard. It was a centralized oracle service that put api data into smart contracts. Beyond adapting apis, this had nothing to do with the plan in the whitepaper (LINK token, result aggregation, reputation, secure execution environment etc).

>tfw have qt chinese gf but want a japanese/korean gf

You brainlets.

Everyone wants their nodes to have good reputation to earn good payouts, and the node assignments are random.

There is no such thing as "rep farming"

SGX is trusted execution on a common intel cpu, it's not a chip
sgx allows you to send verified data from a ssl connection. Ie. TLSNotary verified by sgx
